My hair is short now but I was going to let it grow out. Diva, how short does your hair have to be in order for those invisible braids to look nice? Since the last post, has anyone found any solutions? Hey there sweetie! My hair was about 3 1/2 inches long when I had the invisible braids done and I liked them a lot. She explained to me that they worked better with shorter hair. Theres also a technique called tree braiding for longer hair that will yield the same result. I've decided to wear a sew in for the wedding and then have the salon at the Riu style my hair the day of. This way if it gets wet before hand it wont matter much. I do plan to splurge on some good hair though :.)
  11. Mine will be out about 6 months before, but our site has been up and most people already knew about it, so I wasnt in a mad rush to get them out.

I plan to wear my dress for the entire ceremony and reception, but not for the ttd session. Hopefully I can find a cheap dress($99 and under), that I can wear for the pics. if I change after the wedding it would be into a sundress, but something sexy! HTH!

So hopefully - it works out for you! The pictures will be worth every penny anyways Hopefully after rinsing it I can hang it on the balcony overnight and be good to go!

My other option would be to get them off line and have them shipped to my grandmothers house on the island. I need about 25 bottles total. Thanks Maureen, Ill keep you posted.

I don't think you'd want to dry it mechanically (as in put it in the dryer). I think that could do serious damage to both the fabric and the styling. You're better travelling with it damp and then hanging it to finish drying when you get home. But, if it makes you feel any better, my dress was MUCH cleaner coming out of the ocean than it was after a night of partying in it. The shower makes sense! Thanks!
  17. Thanks for the wonderful welcome ladies! I feel right at home here!

I thought about doing labels but was unsure of what the actual size would be. I was happy with the tags because then guests could read the original label and have a true Jamaican souvenir. These favors doubled as place cards. So the guests found their bottle which had the name of their tabe on it. Each table was named after aJamaican rum drink. On the back of each tag/place card I typed the recipe for that drink. Fabulous! I agree with not covering the original label. Thanks for the ideas!
