    Did anyone have a hand-painted real calla lily bouquet? Or pictures of one? My wc said a bouquet of naturally pink callas is really expensive (it is!), but she said they can paint the white ones pink for much less. I never knew you can paint flowers and am wondering how they look! Thanks!

    Welcome SMB&CRZ! Sorry, I don't have information on the Shaman ceremony. From pictures, it looks like the walk from the stairs to the canopy is pretty short. What length of time was your processional music? We have 8 bm, 5 gm, groom (all walking separately) and 2 sets of parents. Maybe I am over thinking this and should just pick a few songs? Btw, is there an ATM in the resort? Does it dispense USD or pesos? Thank you!

    I think avoiding tan lines is one of the very few downsides of a dw! My skin just soaks in the sun whether I'm just walking around or laying on the beach(never burns though), so strapless is a must If I am going to look terrible with a bandeau bikini anyway, does this mean I get the green light to eat all the delicious food/desserts I've been avoiding? hehehe... hmm... perhaps this is a blessing in disguise!

    J Crew! They have beautiful shades of pink and green and your bm can DEFINITELY wear them again! Look for some great sales online If you are a student or teacher, you get a discount too. My bm bought their dresses during a sale and only paid $40-80 for a dress. I chose a color and they picked the style. Good luck!

    I am glad things worked out for you Lauren! I received an email saying that I'll just be charged the $300 outside vendor fee I was quoted. Glad that is finally over with. Robin, I am glad you liked the steaming service at the resort! One less thing to worry about

    Our resort is an AI, but like many others, we are paying for dinner and drinks. It sounds like you got an awesome deal. The party sounds fun! Your guests will love it. I wouldn't worry about the rest. If I was your guest, I wouldn't care since it's a vacation anyway : )

    It's neat that the hotel doesn't charge you extra for the wedding reception! This is the first time I've heard of a resort doing this : ) How about treating your guests to a group excursion? Maybe you can find something that fits within your budget!

    Need your opinion please! 5:30 ceremony 6-7 cocktail party 7-10 dinner/dancing Is 10pm too early to end the event? At first, we thought everyone can venture to the disco after 10. Now, I am wondering if we should extend the event a 1/2 hour or 1 for more dancing. Does anyone know what time the disco closes on Monday? I would like to extend the reception, but FI is opposed for budget reasons. Thoughts?

    Congrats and welcome! You're going to love it here I think one of the most important things to do in the begining is to reserve you photog and dj. There are so many great ones in the area and they book up fast! Happy planning!

    Our resort charges an outside vendor fee. So if you don't use their florist, photographer, etc. there's a fee. For some items/services it's less expensive to use an outside vendor, but for the most part, it was easier for us to use the resort's. We are having an outside photog and dj though. So, although an outside wc may be able to get you a great deal, those outside vendor fees can add up (if your resort has them).

    My dress has a very small train and no tulle, so it will fit easily into a rolling carry-on. My seamstress said to bring the suitcase when I pick up the dress and she'll pack it for me. I'll just get it steamed at the resort. Just another option!
