    Hello

    Welcome and happy planning!
  3. Surprisingly, pretty much nothing! Programs, escort cards, guestbook... We are renting candle centerpieces and tablecloths from the resort. For favors, we're purchasing maracas from the market when we get to Mexico! This week, I am going to try and put together budget-friendly OOT bags for our guests. It's not possible for us to make an elaborate bag, but I'd still like a token of appreciation for our guests
  4. 1 month from today... I'll be at Paradisus! YAY! It cannot come soon enough. I'm ready to walk down that sandy beach aisle, marry FI and party with friends and family! Right now, it looks like the big items have been crossed off the list. Still, there's so much to do: vows, programs, escort cards, welcome letter, earrings, shoes, guestbook, etc. Eek! I'm working on a planning post even though it's much simpler and doesn't have the fun DIY items as other BDW ones. Hopefully, some of you will find it useful. THANKS and a to all you Paradisus ladies! I love that we have such a friendly, supportive and active group! I couldn't have done it without you all!
  5. I love coffee! 2-3 cups a day. Coffee late at night doesn't affect my sleep at all. 2 teaspoons of sugar and whole milk. Vietnamese coffee is delicious. Dmitri, you are so brave!
  6. Does DWT match rates? My guests and I made reservations through a travel agent who was able to match rates found on the internet. Tammy, the BDW host, also has a travel agency that many BDW brides work with. If DWT doesn't match rates, may be you can switch to an agency who does since it's still early. No worries that guests haven't booked yet! The majority of my guests didn't book until Jan/Feb for our May wedding. Some of them made room reservations early and then waited on air travel.
  7. We have really simple programs. It has the names of the parents and wedding party as well as a thank you message. I wanted programs for a keepsake
  8. Welcome and congrats Kimmie! There are so many great photogs in the RM region. Two popular ones are Elizabeth Medina and Del Sol Photography. Yamille, I remember reading a few post-wedding reviews where Paradisus setup their chair sashes and centerpieces without a problem. SMB, I hope your FMIL will get more excited once she realizes how FUN a dw can be! Meanwhile, you've got a support group here who are excited for you and love to share ideas! Happy Monday, everyone!
  9. Don't forget primer for makeup! It makes all the difference. I really like Smashbox Photofinish.
  10. Courthouse = politics/policy = conservative environment. So, I would have to respectfully disagree on wearing knee-high boots and clothing with embellishments. I think it's acceptable to wear pants suit. How about a dark grey suit instead black with a crisp button-down shirt? If you wear a skirt suit, wear hoisery that matches your skin tone. They are a pain to wear, but I'd wear it to be on the safe side. It's important to have a polished, understated look so your qualifications can *shine* Good luck on the interview! What position are you interviewing for?
  11. I would just ask who wants a roommate, provide contact info for those who do, and let everyone work out the details on their own
  12. : ) I feel like you should just put your entire planning thread on the site!
  13. So stylish! I love the picture of you guys on the boat at sunset!
  14. I'm getting mine steamed at the resort for $20 since there'll be wrinkles from travel. You could also get it pressed before leaving and then use a travel garment steamer to release any wrinkles.
