  1. It looks great both ways but the updo is my favorite! I am going to do a half-up/half-down because I look strange w/ my hair up but want something different than just leaving my hair down as I normally do
  2. Haha I was hoping there was a thread for all the BDW shorties! This past weekend I tried on veils at a trunk show and found one that I like but it's almost fingertip length. I don't know if a longer veil makes one look super short or taller or no difference at all -- I have such a bad eye for these things. Gotta consult the other shorties on the forum! lol I think it might be too overwhelming, so I'm going to look for a shoulder or elbow length. It wasn't too hard to let that veil go as it was a few hundred dollars -- yikes!
  3. Glad to come upon this post! When I stood on the platform in my dress, I was but when I stepped off it and saw my usual 5'1" self hehe. What veil length do you ladies have?
  4. Melt chocolate and purchase a bunch of fruit Have fun!
  5. Absolutely beautiful! Can't wait to see the rest of the pictures Have a great honeymoon
  6. I'm in love with the second dress! You look fabulous in it!
  7. Thanks for the recipe, Tammy! I love spinach artichoke dip and can't wait to try it with a kick
  8. If you're looking for hotels outside of DC, try places around the Crystal City and Pentagon City area (Yellow/Blue lines). There are a ton of hotels there. They are close to the Reagan National Airport and about a 12 min ride into downtown.
  9. Your honeymoon sounds awesome! I traveled in those countries a few years ago and it was so much fun. You *have* to visit the Toul Sleng Genocide Museum and the Killing Fields in Phnom Penh. Our museum guide's family was affected by the Khmer Rouge and it was an unforgetable experience talking to her about it. If you are pressed for time, definitely the museum instead of the Killing Fields.
  10. I am glad you guys are working things out! I really like this article from the New York Times (The Key to Wedded Bliss? Money Matters, September 10, 2008 ). http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/10/bu...l&st=cse&scp=3

  17. I metro to work, and I hate it when the person sits next to me feels that it's ok to give himself extra room by moving into my half of the row of seats b/c I'm smaller. Give me my space
