  1. I agree... well done. It would be useful to have a sticky post with the prices that different resorts charge for outside vendors... I have been looking into it and it seems to be all over the map. See if I can come up with a compiled list once I make it down there to live. Thanks again Tammy.
  2. When I get down there to live (Feb 2009)... I will have to remember to make a post with all the cool "non-tourist" spots that are magical for photo shoots. I have seen a bunch on vacation... now they will be my new back drops.
  3. After 15 years your doing it again... nicely done!

  6. Punta Cana... great beaches! If you don't hear any replies to a photographer to come shoot for you, let me know. I have family that live in the DR and maybe we can work something out.
  7. Congrates! Playa is beautiful... I guess that why were moving there... haha Just a quick tip ... if your bringing in an outside photographer... they charge upwards of $500 for the day.

  14. Is your WC part of the hotel or did they contact them on your behalf? I think $100 or even $200 is reasonable... but $500 is kind of high.
  15. Does anybody know what the Moon Palace charges for a day rate to bring in your own photographer?
  16. Pets are the new kids! Here is my little girl Peanut! She is 16 months now... hahah... I said how many months. She is soo smart.
  17. We are currently in the process of moving our photography business down to Playa del Carmen in the beginning of 2009. I have heard from a couple people about the hotels charging upwards of $500 to bring in your own photographer to the hotel to cover the wedding. Has anybody had any experience with this and what the different hotels are charging? Thanks for any info! ...Lincoln & Lori
  18. The weather will be the weather and there is nothing you can do about it. Most times its says rain... it doesn't last that long anyway. Funny thing... I've been to a few outdoor weddings now and its surprising how the sun always seems to make its way out! Best of luck! Remember... keep your chin up and laugh at whatever comes your way... the weather won't matter.
  19. Keep your options open... and something special will come up!
  20. There is lots of great help in here! Happy planning.
  21. My parents live in the Dominican... great place! Punta Cana has great beaches.
