It's so excitig to see how may more Valentin brides there are on this forum. Im getting married in August 2009 and Im super excited. Ive been trying to get in contact with Alana but cannot get through. Do any of you ladies have a working phone #? I would really appreciate it.

I was going through the same dilemma. I feel the same way. Pics are extremely importatnt therefore, I will be using an outside photographer. I have booked Claudia Rodriguez. Hello Cabobride 10 In response to your question, I spoke to Guadalupe the WC regarding having guests under the age of 18 just attend the reception and she informed me that it is not allowed. Perhaps you can speak to a manager and see if an exception can be made.

I've been in contact with the wedding coordinator and at the moment they are not confirming catholic ceremonies at the resort. I'm getting married at the resort but I am having the catholic ceremony at a nearby church in playa del carmen.

Congratulations!!!!! Im so glad that there is another Valentin bride. This resort is amazing to say the least. Im glad to hear that one can have a priest for a blessed ceremony. So does that mean that the bishop has approved the continual of catholic ceremonies at the resort? I know what you mean about the chapel, I absolutely loved it. This resort has everything that I envisioned. Once again congratulations. I definitely agree with Graciela if you are considering this place just book it. Congratulations once again.

Hello Ladies, Valentin Imperial Maya is an absolutely beautiful resort. To answer some of your questions. It's not a done deal that they will not be able to hold catholic ceremonies at the resort. Guillermo (WC) informed me that they are awaiting to hear from the bishop. I have not given a deposit yet I just blocked my wedding date. My wedding is a year away, perhaps that is why they have not asked for a deposit. As soon as I get an answer in regard to the ceremony I will keep you updated. As I recall the Lobster Pot is one of the outside restaurants. Guillermo did mention to me that this can be an option for the reception. They are very flexible as to the location of the reception. If you want to have the reception in one of the restaurants if you have to let them know far in advance so that they are able to make accomodtions and provide your wedding party some privacy. I just got back from Riviera Maya and did a site visit of Valentin Imperial Maya. The resort is absolutely beautiful. The details of this resort are amazing. I met with Guillermo, the wedding manager. He was great and very accomodating. You are able to have a private reception. I particularly liked the terrace to have a private reception. It's absolutely beautiful. During our site visit Guillermo informed us that they are unsure if they will be able to continue holding catholic ceremonies as the Bishop is trying to restrict catholic ceremonies being held at resorts. One of the main reasons that I considered Valentin was for it's chapel but the resort has so much to offer that I would consider having the ceremony at a nearby church.

Hi Karrie, Congrats!!! I got engaged last year at the Royal in Cancun. This is resort is soooo amazing. This is one of the most beautiful resorts that I have ever seen. The service is one of the best that I have ever experienced. Once again congratulations.

Hi Graciela, Ive been looking into this resort as well as I also plan to have a catholic ceremony and there is the convenience of a chapel at the resort. I've actually contacted the wedding coordinator and she has been very pleasant. I plan on doing a site visit next week so when I get back I can give you further feedback on the resort. The resort appears to be beautiful. However, I don't think that they have coordinated any weddings as of yet.
