I am getting married on a saturday and I am having a symbolic wedding and my WC said that I only had to be there two full business days before....

I am having an AHR too. We will have around 250 people there and it is going to be huge. We are having it 2 weeks after we get married in Mexico. I bought a second wedding dress to wear and we are going to have it catered with beer and wine being served. Also, we are having a bride's cake, groom's cake, huge ice sculpture of a fish on a wave, dance floor with DJ and maybe a band too....Whew! I do feel like I am planning a second wedding too! It is stressful, but I know it will be worth it!

Thanks! Well, I am still unsure about the cocktail hour. I think I might just be letting my guests do their own thing. I know they won't mind =) We will probably just head to the nearest bar, haha. I read over the appetizers that they can serve during the cocktail hour and to be honest, they looked gross to me. I don't think I am going to arrange anything for that. I will just see what happens. The group I have going to Mexico aren't too formal and they will be glad to just do their own thing. I am from Southeast Texas...Beaumont to be exact. It is about an hour from Houston, near the Louisiana border. Where is your family from?

I think it is just so pretty. I love that the beach will be in the background. =) Yes, I am still planning on bringing the Bose system with the IPOD. I am not paying the extra $1700 b/c it will be semi-private and I don't really care if people are nearby. We will have fun among ourselves. Also, I am having a huge AHR when I get home so I need to keep the costs down in Mexico. I don't know about the hookup for the IPOD. I know girls on here have done it before....I am just going to have to search to find the thread. CONGRATS! Let us know if you have anymore questions.

KimmyG-I think that you can give the chair bows to the wedding coordinator and she will put them on the chairs at no additional charge. Also, I am pretty sure they will bring you drinks on the beach. Just make sure to tip them b/c then they will come back frequently to check on ya! They don't have the green flag at the RIU. I have never been, but my FI has been to RIU's. Hope that helped you!
