  1. Great thanks ladies!! I think i'm going to make the switch....the beach pics are beautiful!
  2. Does anyone have pics of the decorated ceremony locations?? FI and I originally picked the gazebo area but after seeing a pic of it...now we're not so sure. Wasn't exactly how we pictured it! Can anyone help me out by posting their pics to help us decide? Any suggestions? Thanks!
  3. We picked 5pm too for the same reasons as the first poster!! Beautiful sunset pictures and not so hot!
  4. Thanks everybody!! Kelly C- tell us everything when you get back!
  5. Thank you, it does! I guess we'll just stick with our ceremony time and hope for the best!
  6. So, I am officially a future Cabo bride!!! My FI and I settled on RIU Santa Fe, Septemeber 25th, 2009. Our date and time are confirmed...we booked for 5pm in the gazebo area We are fully aware that it is hurricane season, this was a risk we took knowingly but we really wanted September and heard from several sources that Cabo was very very rarely hit by hurricanes because of it's location. So we went for it!!!! My question: Since we should be expecting brief showers since it is rainy season, what time of day do they usually come at? Like is it typical for night showers? or most likely morning rain or is it different ever time? Any input would be helpful as if there is a typical time of day that it rains we may request to have our ceremony time changed since it is outdoors. Thanks in advance!
  7. Maybe us too! We're looking at Holiday Inn Sunspree Aruba Is anyone getting a wedding planner and geeting married offsite?
  8. Can someone give me a few to go research? Is the resort you are getting married at, all-inclusive?
  9. Yes, like i said we are aware it's the rainy season but have decided to take our chances. My question is: For those of you who have been to Mexico/Cancun in Sept what time of day would you recomend we hold our outdoor ceremony?
  10. Hi Ladies!! We're currently looking at a few resorts in Cancun. We are planning a September wedding there and yes, we know it's the rainy season and with that in mind we want to know the best time of day to plan our outdoor ceremony. I emailed a couple of the wedding coordinators to see what they suggest but they have not responded yet and I'm growing impatient! lol!!! Has anyone been to Mexico (specifically Cancun) in September? What time of day would you suggest so that we have the least chance of getting rained on?
  11. This thread IS amazing!! Thank you Sunbride!! Now my question: My fiance and I are in the very early stages of planning and haven't narrowed down a resort yet but Tulum is near the top of our list! Q: What is it like at night? Is there any dj's/dancing/partying? To be honest, that's what we want! Night time fun as well as day time relaxation

It will actually be several hundred dollars cheaper per person from here! Yay! It sounds like they are both equally beautiful, thanks!
  13. Hi There! Originally we had planned to get married at RIU Montego Bay however the cost has suddenly sky rocketed for next year so we have been looking at other options. I am absolutely in love with the look of Dreams Cancun...but for shopping arounds sake, i have stumbled across Moon Palace a couple times as well- especially here where the pros are! I tried to do a basic flight search but came up empty handed...beofre i go see a TA, which is more affordable? If you have already been married at either, or have visited either...what do you think Lisa
  14. Ok, so we've been dealing with RIU Montego Bay and have confirmed our date and everythign and it turns out that the cost at which our travel agent thought it would be was wwaaaaayyyyy off. Anyways, we DO NOT feel right about asking our guests to pay $1800 per person just to come to our wedding. We loved the look of Jamaica but we are very very flexible. Where oh where is a beautiful spot to get married and yet won't cost all of our guests an arm and a leg? we were thinking september
  15. Your pics all turned out GREAT!!! I can't afford to fly in a photographer and this really set my mind at ease!
  16. CONGRATS! GREAT STORY!!! I can't wait to see pictures!!!
  17. Yes i saw earlier that you were a RMB bride!! Thanks for the welcome, I don't think there are very many of us yet with the resort being so new! You'll have to tell me all about it!
  18. Thanks for the warm welcome!! We haven't made arrangements with a travel agent yet and only have the package prices. When I have more info I'll post it!
  19. I would love it too if it's not too much trouble!! Thanks so much in advance! [email protected]
  20. Hi! We are going with the Royal Package at RIU Montego Bay We will not be bringing in an outside photographer and will use the one on the resort. If you were married at a riu resort could you please post pictures that your "riu" photographer took? I would like to see examples of their work! Thanks! Lisa
  21. Hi There! I'm a newbie and I tried to post this earlier but it didn't work and so if it's a double post, i'm sorry!!! Now for my question My fiance and I have sent in our request for the new RIU Montego Bay for Sept 24th, 2009. We, of course, realize that it is the rainy season and we had originally requested a 4pm ceremony but after doing some more research it seems as if it rains in the late afternoon at that time of year and so we're thinking of requesting the 10am time slot. Does anyone know from experience how true this is? Should we move it to the earlier time? Thanks in advance! Lisa
