OMG. So I got her response: Dear Lisa, Unfortunately they doesn't allow external supplier for this year. 1 freaking sentence!!! um, hello anyone home So I sent her this back: Erika, Nevertheless, you need to honour what you had told us before, correct? You knew that our wedding date was in 2009 and you clearly stated in the previous email that photographers/videographers (he is from Cabo by the way and has shot weddings there before) were allowed at the resort provided they were purchased day passes. After you had told us yes, we put down a non-refundable deposit to the photographer and so it seems we have a major problem here. How is this going to be worked out? After I send this email I am also going to forward you the original emails we exchanged regarding this topic. Lisa and Arthur Damn this wedding stress.

Yes, I did, and I already sent it to her. There have been several brides on here who have hired outside photographers though, so I don't understand where this is all coming from!

She hasn't responded yet but I'll keep that in mind for sure!!! Thanks and I'll let you know how she responds. Ugh. I'm so stressed about this.

Yes I do, I've saved all of our emails and I'm so glad that I did! I sent her the email where she said it was fine before and I'm still waiting for a response. I'm going to be pissed if she tells me that she's not going to honour the previous agreement. What the heck should I say to her if she withdraws what she previously said!!!

So, last September I sent an Email to Erika at Riu Santa Fe ensuring that I can bring in a photographer/videographer and she responded "yes" but they will have to pay a guest day pass. Fine! Great! So we hired Alberto Misrachi and paid our deposit to him. Well, this morning I sent her this email because we've selected the Royal package and would also like to use the resort photographer that comes with the package, here is the email I sent her and she responded a little while ago within the email (I bolded her answers): Hi Erika, How are you? I have a couple more questions for you: 1) Our package comes with a photographer however we are also bringing our own photographer as well. The resort doesn't allow to have external suppliers. We would still like to use the RIU photographer though and we were wondering if there was a designated time that we have to use your photographer or can we choose when we want her to take our pictures? For example we want to have our photographer shoot the ceremony and afterwards on the beach, so can we have the RIU photographer take pictures of me getting ready? Yes you cah choose the time that you would like to have your pictures. Or even the next day in the ocean? How long do we have her for? With the normal package you have like 1 hour before the cermony during this and after the ceremony. 2) What is the back up plan in case it rains? Can you send me a picture of space used in case it rains? We can move your ceremony to a close area like the conference rooms. Thank you! Lisa G WHAT THE HELL DOES SHE MEAN THAT EXTERNAL SUPPLIERS ARE NOT ALLOWED? She already told me yes! and I know for a fact that other Riu Santa Fe brides have brought in photographers!!! WHAT THE HELL I emailed her back asking her ( a lot more politely than this post lol) what she meant and copied and pasted our previous emails about the subject so I'll keep you all updated. OMG.

One of my bridesmaids just sent me this link saying that they are on the way for me!!! She said she saw them and couldn't resist! We're having a beach ceremony so I'm not sure if I'm actually going to wear them for the ceremony or afterwards or what but I love them! www.artisangemsboutique.com - Diamond Ring Wedding db Flip Flops by Girl Two Doors Down

It has been a pain in the butt selling my first dress though... I agree. I ordered my dress a while back and it's hard when you see pics of so many other beautiful dresses to not be sucked in by another one. I was having second thoughts about my dress until I tried it on again in the store with my veil on and I started crying! So, try the first one on again before you truly make your decision! But if you feel like a princess in the 2nd dress then 100% go for it with no regrets. You only will have this day once!

lol, what did you hear was scary about the disco? I know it isn't very visually appealing and that it can't be decorated...is that what scares you?

Former Riu SAnta Fe Brides...where did you do your First Dance and Father/Daughter Dance? I guess the best place would be the disco right?

And Ashley, I'm from Canada too! If you decide to go with that then just send the seller a message and ask for a quote for shipping to Canada since it says on her profile that she ships to US only. She had no problem shipping it to me whatsoever and has been nothing but great to communicate with. I haven't received it yet because i told her to take her time with it since the wedding is not until Sept. I do not think it will be too hot since it is a halter dress and backless and the tulle is nice and flowy I showed my daughter the picture and she loves it so much! -
Thanks Abbie!

Isn't it?? My Fiance and I both fell in love with it. The only change we made to this display one when we ordered was that we had flowers added to the back where the ribbon ties up as well My name is Lisa by the way, my daughter is Gracie but that's ok!!!! I can't wait to get it. Another amazing thing is that the dress allows for 6inches of growing without altering the look of the dress at all so if she has a growth spurt it's ok! -

My daughter will be 4yrs old and this is what she'll be wearing: It's fun and different and we really want her to stand out too. I ordered it from Etsy for a really reasonable price and the designer will make the tutu dresses with any colours and accessories you want, sized exactly how you want too. I've seen them on babies and toddlers and they look adorable! The designers name on Etsy is Tiaratutu and here is her limk if you are interested: Etsy :: tiarastutus :: Creating unique gifts for your little princess! -
We're all from Canada so far!

Do I get a say in my bachelorette?
lgarner83 replied to lgarner83's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
I hope you're all right and she listens. I think that she doesn't think that I'm being serious, ya know? Like I'm saying that I don't but that I really do. It's frustrating, I think I'm going to send them all an email so that everyone is clear on what I want and what I don't want!! -

Kids at Elegant Bridal Shower?
lgarner83 replied to BeautifulBridetoBe's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
Personally, nothing could ruin my shower if I don't let it get to me. But for your event it sounds like the kids would be better off at home. Have the invites been sent out yet? Maybe you could playfully add in "Ladies Only!" to your invites so they definitely get the hint. As for your neice, I would let her come absolutely. It sounds like she'll be great company there and the others should understand that she is there because she is a part of the bridal party. -
Do I get a say in my bachelorette?
lgarner83 posted a topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
My sis, who is a bridesmaid as well desperately wants to plan my bachelorette party. It's not for a long time yet (not getting married until Sept) but I'm already worried. She has already mentioned SEVERAL times about getting a stripper or going to the strippers and I am 100% against that. I'm not a prude nor uptight but it's just NOT my thing at all. I seriously would not have fun. My idea of a fun bachelorette is honestly dressing up, going somewhere fun for dinner and then hitting up a club for some drinking and dancing. I'm not into the "last night of freedom" idea, ya know? But everytime I say "no, I seriously do not want a stripper", I get brushed off or laughed at with her saying "too bad!" What do I do
