Yeah, I am curious about the wedding dresses too. Both Maryann and Sookie are wearing white dresses in some of the pics. The promo I read says "The mayhem in Bon Temps reaches a fever pitch as Maryann (Michelle Forbes) prepares for her ultimate bestial sacrifice, conscripting Sookie (Anna Paquin) to be maid of honor at the bloody nuptials" Strange. Anyway, on to other things, I just got hit with a little jealousy : ) Appearently, Ryan Kwanten (Jason Stackhouse) was in Atlantic City, NJ over the Labor Day weekend and went clubbing at some other shore points and my co-worker met him at a bar in Sea Isle City, hung with his entourage and then caught a ride in his limo back to Avalon where they were staying!!!! This girl meets so many famous people. Of course, I would be WAY more jealous if she had met Eric!!!
-
I'm a fan on Facebook of both True Blood and Eric : ) I saw the promo pics, and yes, they make you wonder, especially the one of Sookie and Bill, its like "How does this fit?" I wish it was a two hour finale!!! But only 4.5 more days, I can't wait!
-
Touch of Dead is a compilation of Sookie short stories, which will hopefully be good, but actual Book 10 comes out in May 2010, a long wait!!!
-
Touch of Dead isn't a new book though, it is a compilation of the previously published Sookie Stackhouse stories.
-
Driving to work this morning my thought process goes something like this: "I have to get to Target to buy two more books. Ohhhhh...its Friday, another day closer to Sunday, can't wait....." along with some misc. thoughts of Eric I think I am officially addicted!
-
I have been reading along with this thread for a while now. DH and I watch True Blood religiously, we love it! I didn't know about the books until I found this thread and now I am ADDICTED to them. After I read Books 1 and 2 I talked to DH about what the same and what was different but he won't let me talk about any others cause he thinks they'll be like spoilers and he hates spoilers. I am currently on Book 4, almost done and can't wait to get my hands on #5. I have been an Eric fan from the time I started watching the show, but after Book 4, I LOVE Eric. If the show is going to use each book to base the seasons on, I am going to go CRAZY waiting for Season 4 to get to this storyline. Anyway, as far as what is going on now, I too am SOOO tired of Maryanne and would love to see Sookie discover some new power that she can use to take Maryanne down. I am excited to see how the Queen figures into all of this. There was a very brief blip of Evan Rachel Wood in the previews for next week. DH paused and did slow-mo frame by frame to see her since it went by so quickly in real time. All I can say is she has red hair and blood dripping from her teeth. DH is leary about her in this role. He liked her in "Across the Universe" but doesn't know if she can pull off a vamp queen, but we shall see. I can't wait till Sunday, I live for Sunday nights, True Blood and Entourage!!!

Congrats Mrs. Martin!!! I am happy he didn't hold out on you and decided to make his arrival. I had a similar experience with labor and the epi only being effective on the one side, and trouble with the latching, my son only wanted the left breast, he had no interest in the right and when I offered it he would "bite" and I ended up with a blood blister and couldn't even pump that side. I am glad you are making progress with the breastfeeding though and hopefully it keeps getting better. I am officially out of the first trimester and got to hear the heart for the first time last week. We had a few nervous moments when she couldn't find it and I think my doc read the look on my face and reassured me that at this stage it takes a little while to find. Then she found it and said it sounds good and strong. I am finally starting to feel better and getting anxious to get to 20 weeks for my ultrasound because I desperately want to know what I am having. I have a VERY strong intuition that it is a girl and, has anyone heard of the OTC test called Intelligender? It supposedly can predict gender and my mom and I couldn't help ourselves, we bought it and I tried it. It said girl, but I am not going to put all my faith in that and just count the 7 weeks till my ultrasound to know for dure. My MIL is partial to boys and keeps feeling the need to express that so I plan on making a big deal of it if it is a girl : ) How is everyone else feeling?

Mrs. Martin - Thank you for thinking of me. The migraines are still coming about every other day, varying intensity. I am taking the Fioricet that my OB prescribed for now, but only half the recommended dose if tylenol doesn't work first. When I feel it coming I take the Tylenol, if 4 hours later its still there or worse, I will take one more tylenol and one of the Fioricet instead of 2, takes a little while to help but it eventually eases up. I go back for my second appt. on Aug 3 and we are suppose to discuss it more. I hope you are feeling okay and start to see some progress soon. I know it can be frustrating, I was two weeks late with my first and prayed to hear I was dilated at each appt. but no such luck, I hope it goes better for you. You're having a boy right? Boys tend to get comfy and want to stay put : )

"So You Think You Can Dance" Summer 2009
~*~Margie~*~ replied to ~*Kathy*~'s topic in Celebrity Gossip!
Last nights "100th Episode Celebration" was a little disappointing for me. The montage of all the seasons seemed to have more clips from seaons 3, 4 and 5 and didn't show much of 1 and 2 at all. And, it went by so fast with quick flashes of clips that it just wasn't really what I expected. I was happy to see the 3 past dances, but it would have been nice if they actually talked to the dancers afterward to give us a chance to see everyone. The Katie Holmes thing was lack luster for me. I knew she could sing cause she sang on Dawson's…it wasn't clear to me that she was lip synching like other's have mentioned, if she was I couldn't tell, but the dancing, Tyce went easy on her with the choreography, she didn't do much. As far as the results, I knew Janette was going, I just had a feeling. I have never liked her so it is not really a disappointment. With the guys, I was SHOCKED that Brandon was in the bottom 2. I had predicted Evan and Jason with Evan going home. That Evan wasn't even in the bottom is beyond belief, I cannot believe he will be around again next week, Jason has performed so much better over all. I will say I think Jason's solo this week was weak, it just seemed like a lot of jumps and not so much dancing, but I still didn't think he deserved to go home. Its definitely time for one big reunion show with a lot of past dances and "where they are now" interviews. I wish SYTYCD seasons were available on DVD, I'd buy them up so quick. We should start a petition for that and send it to Dr. Nigel : ) -
Any resort recommendation in the Bahamas?
~*~Margie~*~ replied to jennibak's topic in Bahamas Weddings
Our Lucaya on Grand Bahama is beautiful. I just got married there in May. It has an all-inclusive option and can fit any budget because it is jointly owned by Westin and Sheraton, rooms are the Sheraton are more budget friendly and Westin is a little more "luxury" for those that can spend more. We didn't need a fancy room since we were barely in it so we stayed in the Sheraton building and it was wonderful. The resort is LARGE and beautiful, I highly recommend it. -
"So You Think You Can Dance" Summer 2009

The first half of last night was such a dissappointment, and so where most of the solos. DH and I watched the first few routines and we were like "What the hell, this is Top 8!!! They should be blowing us away." The waltz and the rumba were like watching paint dry. I loved Jeannine and Brandon's "pop jazz" and the hip hop from Shane is one of the better one's he has done so far this season, I don't agree with Nigel that it was his best ever on the show, but...it was good, my fav Shane routine is Season 1 Destiny and Jamile, which they showed in the clips for tonights 100th episode so maybe we'll get to see it. Anyway, other thoughts, group number by Travis, AWESOME, and not what I would expect from Travis, they need to keep him around as a choreographer, he adds an awesome new dimension. Melissa and Ade reunited, loved them together again and that Tyce routine had me bawling like a baby, it was amazing. And I'm sorry to anyone that does like her...but WTF was up with Mia saying Janette was the best girl for her. She has done well with everything she is given but I don't think she is the best, and I just can't seem to like her, maybe its the hair or something else but I don't like her. I think she and Evan will be going home tonight. I agree with everyone who has said Jeanine and Ade will be in the top, they are my two faves. -

And actually i still have them they are not sure what is causes them. Still working on that one. Kelly, she is beautiful!!!! I am 10 weeks along. She advised against excedrine in the 1st and 3rd Trimester because of the Aspirin in it. She put me on Fioricet, which is basically tylenol with caffeine and a barbituate. She said it is safe in early pregnancy but if I have to rely on it heavily in the 3rd trimester then the baby runs the risk of going through withdraw symptoms after birth. I have only used it for this one headache because I was in SUCH agony, I hope to never have to use it again, I just don't know what my other options are and she says this is the safest to start with if tylenol is not enough. I am sorry to hear about your headaches. Did they just start? It is very frustrating to not to know what causes them. I have had so many tests and they still can't explain it. The only thing that ever turned up was a pituitary tumor when I had an MRI of the brain, but they said it was not causing the headaches and just brought a whole new set of issues of its own. I hope you find some answers and relief. Mrs Martin - thank you for your reply. I wish I could go without meds altogether, atleast while I am pregnant, but sometime the pain is just to much and when it keeps me from functioning in every aspect of my life I feel like I have to do something. I just never want to do anything to hurt the baby.

Just wondering if there are any other pregnant migraine sufferers out there. I have had migraines since I was about 14 and have been on more prescription meds than I can count on two hands, all of which are ineffective or moderately effective for a period of time till I build a tolerance. Thankfully, my first pregnancy was like a "cure" and I did not suffer from migraines the whole nine months, this time however, not so lucky. I made my OB aware of this in my first appointment and advised her that the only thing that has consistently brought me relief lately was a combination of Excedrine and Aleve that I discovered when my last prescription started becoming ineffective, and I was building a tolerance to the Excerdrine/Aleve as well and starting to need more to be effective. She advised that I could not take those things, which I knew, and that I had to stick to Tylenol unless the migraines did not respond to it. Up till now I was responding to Tylenol, however, Sunday night I got a migraine and it held on. I missed work Monday, came to work but had to leave yesterday and finally called the OB. She called me last night and she has put me on medication that at this stage of the pregnancy is "safe" but it makes me nervous to take such powerful stuff, especially since I took it before and eventually did build a tolerance the last time and needed more to get relief. Just wondering if anyone else has dealt with this and what you did or your OB recommended. Any input would be helpful. I have confidence in my OB but I guess I am just scared of hurting the baby just so I can have relief.

Hi everyone! Congrats to Alyssa and Heidi!!! I haven't been around in a while because of limited access at work. I am now 9 weeks 2 days. I had my first appointment last week, just general stuff, nothing special, questions, medical background and offering me the new Sequential Screening that replaced the quad screen, I'm opting not to have it. They said size wise I felt right on target. Next appointment is Aug 3 and we get to hear the heart. I think last time I on was here I asked about when symptoms started, well, I should have kept my mouth shut!!! I have been in a constant state of nausea for 2.5 weeks straight, getting sick like once or twice a day every other day (thank god not every day), sooooo tired and some other TMI type things. I feel like a wreak. I have also started experiencing my first "craving", I am obsessed with orange juice, I have to have it and a lot of it, I just can't stop wanting it. And, sadly, I think it is true that you get bigger faster with the second baby. At a little over 9 weeks my belly looks like it did when I was about 14/15 weeks with my son so even if I had wanted to keep it from people till I was out of the 1st trimester, I don’t think I could have cause depending on what I wear, you can tell. Oh well! Hoping better days are ahead but I know it will all be worth it in the end!

"So You Think You Can Dance" Summer 2009

UGh, I have been going through withdraw not reading this thread but I can't get on at work for now, bummer, so I am really limited on the computer. Love the recaps. My only thoughts are, while the judges usually give "good" comments to Melissa and Ade, I don't think they give them enough credit. I think they are awesome and they have been one of my favs for a while now. I must say, i agree with whoever made the comment about Janette's hair, it drives me CRAZY. I don't know why but I mention it everyweek to DH cause it is just that bad to me. She is a really good dancer but there is just something about her that keeps me from pulling for her. But, I love Brandon, I think he is awesome at everything! I really like Philip but I don't think he is growing and it may be time for him to go. I do think he is holding Jeanine back a little. Loved the Mia routine and Wade's routine was one of the best I have seen from him since the Sexy Back routine for the top four on Season 3. And I saw the "Toasty Oreo" comment too and had to laugh cause DH and I have been calling him "Tasty Oreo" since like Season 3. I really liked him as a judge. Mary....not so much, she needs to tone it down, WAY down. -
