Wow that is so awkward and weird!!! I don't even know what to say except since they are moving anyway, you could approach her and say "hey biatch, I got this shower invite in the mail but I never received an invitation to your wedding. Am I invited? Or are you just the most awkward tacky person out there?" Ok that would be my response but should that not be your style, maybe in a different way just be upfront about it and ask if you are invited! Clearly it's weird cause time has passed. But what do you really have to lose? The worst she says is sorry we're having a really small wedding blah blah blah and then you can just go ahead and RSVP "no" to the shower and take her off your invite list! It could be that she just overlooked it and figured you would just assume you were invited since you are roommates and have known each other awhile!!

Yay finally an Oct 2010 thread!! We are getting married Oct 10 in Cabo. Once we finalize our website we are sending save the dates, probably in early fall or close to the one year point.

I'm confused about this. Is it really a diet? Or just that you eat healthy and lower the carbs? Is it something you can sustain for a long period of time? ie) eating this way for the rest of your life? I'm doing the SHD right now and it sucks. I said I'd give it a week and then look for something that is more sustainable!

Wow well congrats on the 5lbs!! And goodluck with Atkins. Day 2 is not going to be easy. Soup for breakfast yuck. But I did it. The only good thing about Toronto summer weather being so cold and crappy this year is that I can actually eat soup.

I started today and so far so good. Pretty sure I peed like 22 times. I like the soup and find it filling. But eating fruit for breakfast isn't bad. I'm just worried about veggie day tomorrow. Anyone currently doing the diet?

I only think it is too many if you are having a small wedding. When the majority of the wedding is IN the wedding it's a bit awkward in my opinion. Other than that, if it's important to you to have the people you mentioned in the bridal party then go for it!!! It should be about what you want.

I believe there are cheaper meal options. I thought the most expensive one was around $74 per person. But most people are doing the $58 pp meal. That includes dinner, drinks, the ceremony, setups, a cocktail reception etc. I think even with the free wedding package 10 people are included so you are just paying the $58 pp for the guests above 10. In my opinion it was a little ridiculous for her to go ahead and cancel your reservation and book other people. You said you were just asking if it was POSSIBLE to cancel the res. So typically you'd expect a response like: "yes we can cancel it for you but we will then be renting it to other guests". Or at least something instead of going ahead and doing it. I'd be irritated for sure. Your wedding will be beautiful regardless and you probably won't notice others around and most likely they will be respectful of your wedding and just keep their distance!! If she's assuring you everything will be fine, I'm sure they will do their best to ensure that it is! Can't wait to see photos when you return

I've decided on fuschia and green as well with ivory and a champagne colour. Fuschia will be the main colour though. So far I've ordered a bouquet in fuschia and I think the BM's dresses will be bright pink as well. The centerpieces are fuschia mostly with a bit of green. I really love the bright save the dates you all have done! I am going to start looking into that now. I'm not sure fully how I will incorporate the green but I think it will be just an accent.

I'm moving to Boston for a year and leaving in a month But will be back in Toronto after that!! FI is from Calgary and grew up there, he moved to Toronto about 5 years ago.

I believe there are some charters that still go to Cabo after April. A few girls on the forum have October and December weddings and I know have booked using packages from Canada. I would honestly shop around the quote. From the people on the forum I've talked to, they had to make a deposit upon booking but the balance wasn't due until 2 months before the trip. I have heard that the flight centre group division is really good for weddings maybe just try giving them a call?
