I'll probably be buying the satin, chiffon, or ribbon myself and either hand sewing or gluing the applique on. Don't spend so much mony on the belt. They've become popular and they are really easy to make. Just get the right applique and hand sew or glue on.

Hopefully you have better luck than I did. After 8 weeks I still had no dress even though they said I would receive it in 6 weeks! They said they needed another week before they even started it. I got a refund immediately with no hassle on the $80 "non-refundable" deposit with giannarbridal.

I got a very similar run around from them, too! They said it would be ready, gave me the fake tracking number, and then 2 more weeks and nothing. I filed with paypal before it was too late and got an instant refund. I would wonder if that dress is even yours or if they are stalling for time.

I never did figure out who the designer is but I found someone else who can make it. I can also get it exactly the way I want it. So I ordered this: In light baby blue with dress and lace being the same color. Blue is the color Irish brides would traditionally wear and good luck and prosperity for the future. White was actually bad luck for Irish brides! I can get the lace up back I want. I also asked to have the sash removable because I don't think I will like it anyway. I asked and they promised it by Sept 25 to receive it. I think that timeline is great. I also asked about a discount or anything free and I'm getting a manila (?) veil, floor length in white for free and they took over $20 off the price. I will keep you updated and let you know because I don't think anyone has ever dealt with jackson1980 from DHGate before.

I found this fairly newer seller to dresses and they are so unique. They are not like anything I've seen before. I asked about the color of the dresses after the auction ended only to find out that the seller said they do not do a lace overly, instead they embroider! I'm not paying for an embroidered dress. I can't even image how they would get it to look good anyway. So I'm asking for my money back. Now, here's where I need help! Does anyone know the original designer of the dress???? In my desperate all evening search for the perfect dress (since I've given up on the custom design I wanted) I've been searching for something simple but different. UnfortunatelyI can't spend $1200 just to spend another $800 trying to make it want I want and still not be the color I want either. I actually tried to order a cocktail dress about 4 months ago from babyonline much more simple and they blew it before the 45 days, too, and gave a refund with no dress! So I am doing my "dream wedding" (although technically it's a renewal) in Jan. I tried on Vera Wang's one shoulder mermaid at DB and loved the cut, however, wanted changes. So after long thought I decided to go with ginanar bridal. It bothered me a bit that they wouldn't go through ebay and that the photos would only come after 30-40 days, however, I paid with paypal and used the feedback here to help ease my tensions. So here I am day 44, no pics, no emails. Finally a response, ...3-5 more days. That means paypal will be of no help bc it is outside of their 45 day policy. The very next email after I told them that I would put in for resolution help with paypal but still want the dress and when I get the pics I will pay the balance no problem.... I changed my mind about the dress. So here is a never worn MAGGIE SOTTERO DESTINATIONS RD1044. It's not a bright white but this doesn't come in diamond white so I guesss it's ivory. You can see from the pics that it is not a yellow ivory. It's a size 6 but is extremely flexible because of the lace up. If you have never tried it on it's an amazing dress! It has an inside fitted layer so you don't lose your shape. Then a second inside layer that lays a little larger to make it slimming. Then the sheer layer. The pink dress is very pretty but I'm wondering if the fabric has that sheen on it like is seems to in the pics or if that is just bad lighting.

Thanks! This is actually from the Davids Bridal Collection. So it is not silk Organza but a polyester organza. "Hand cut" when referring to organza is common because unless you are hemming it you would not use scissors on organza. Hand cut means you start the cut with scissors and then you literally tear the fabric with your hands. Unfortunately it is not as fancy as it sounds! I saw previous on the thread that babyonline made a skirt from this line on another dress and it came out well. I think I might give them another try but I'm going to contact the other suggestions as well. Thanks everyone!

I was wondering about this dress: Has anyone had this remade? Please don't tell me just to buy it like previous in this thread. If I could spend $1300 on a dress I would but I can't so I'm just looking for an opinion. If anyone has had this one made I'd love to hear. OR if you have had a similar skirt made please let me know who. I have emailed several companies with no response so far.

I've learned from a few attempts at this that detailing like the ones you see in the pic are unlikely to fulfill what you want. Especially b/c you've never seen the dress. I agree it's gorgeous but I think pics always outdo the real dress and the replica will fall short of that.

The babyonline policy at the bottom of their listing says that they will refund up to 50% of the cost of the dress. If you send this to your paypal or credit card company you can at least get 1/2 back. It IS faster and easier to hire a seamstress but go to a regular tailor not a bridal seamstress. The bridal companies will charge a fortune and the replica company's dresses are not that complicated that tailor or regular seamstress can't do it.

I was afraid of that for mine, too. That's when they started to faulter and say it would take longer (not to mention lie and say they had quality issues) I decided to concede and ask for my money back. If you paid through paypal it will be easy to get a refund based on the photos and what you received. Credit card will take longer. In my opinion, always use paypal.

We're doing the ceremony and photo shoot on July 4. I had babyonline contact me on Monday and say it would be another few weeks to make the dress. There is no way they are fixing quality; they just haven't done anything yet. The chats that I've had through online chat don't ever get relayed to whoever I'm contacting through messages. Yesterday both the chat people and messaging people had no idea about when it would be done. I asked for a refund and contacted paypal and got my money back. I just don't have the several more weeks it would take to get it, alter it and get everything else prepped in the meantime. I received my refund this morning. I also bought a dress on ebay that I had tried on a while back. I think I can make alterations to it to acheive the silhouette I was looking for and a mermaid crinoline for extra pouf.

So, babyonline says that the dress was not good quality and they are fixing it. I've heard that on here before so I know its either an ongoing issue or an excuse. Then they said they're computer was hacked and they could do something although they never told me how that effected making the dress...they said it would take another week to try to make. So 2 more weeks before I get it. I told them that I can't wait that long and want a refund if they can't send it sooner. So through a chat they agreed to post it by Monday or give me my money back. I have too much to do and plan for. Without even knowing what the dress looks like I can't coordinate with my photographer on the sites, get accessories, shoes, flowers, husbands clothes, potential alterations (I'm assuming these will need to be done), hair, makeup....it all hangs on the dress.... So if they don't send out on Monday, I will need to get another option...hopefully ebay will be helpful! What a disaster...

So, like the others said, I got a notice that babyonline shipped... Fake number...I contacted them and they said it would ship on the 12th. Nothing....we are chatting now and I don't think they will be able to send it in time...I'm probably going to try to get something else...
