20-25 days is working days. That means working days. I thought the same thing, too. Take out weekends and it is 5 weeks for creation. Then take out holidays (they seem to have them every 2 months of so) and add shipping. The total time seems to be about 8 weeks. Let them know that you need it by Aug 2 instead of Sept 2 and they should work with you. Otherwise find out their cancellation policy and threaten to cancel.

I hate to say this but since you asked Shades of Pale to call it a "gift" (whether it is or not) that is probably what caught it up in customs. You cannot drop ship an item like this as a "gift" to commit customs/tax fraud. That may seem harsh but that is what it is. It was probably held up due to this. If your country charges taxes on something pay them.

I bought this 2 years ago and decided to do something else. It is a soft white that could go white or ivory. It has a large area of french netting that will cover your whole face down to chin without complicating pinning or use just short part on face and cover head with it. Very nice. Puchased for over $200 with tax. There are some mild breaks in the the feather (not detached) that I was going to fix but with shipping they might damage again. You can easy just use a dot of glue on it.

That seems to be a huge part of what you sacrifice by getting a knock off. The quality of the fabric and details like beading. If they aren't willing to upgrade that without charging I would consider getting a needle and thread and updating to the silver beads yourself. It's not hard and would probably save you a lot, too.

So I agree that the photos are important especially because that is why I am doing all of this. I've decided to buy one of them and then add what I want to it. I think it was number 10 I bought (I'll have to check) and then I'm going to be adding a white birdcage veil, brooch (to match my bouquet) or a peacock feather or 2 or possibly white feathers. When I get it I'll mock up some tests and ask for opinions again! Thanks ladies for all of your help. I really appreciate it!

I'm going to wait on choosing an exact style until I find the dress but I know it will be long and loose and the color of my hair is about the same and the model in the photo. I am wanting to add a peacock feather and possible some bling to it.

I think everyone is missing the point,....Pretty Pig may have had opinions...she did not get banned for opinions...everyone is open to there own...she extended that beyond opinions to name calling and being crude and relentless. When she couldn't control herself is when she was banned. You absolutely can express your opinions just avoid personal strikes and name-calling for no reason. She's like a bad "Orange County" or "Jersey" Housewife gone bad. That's why she was banned.

So to make a long story short my first wedding was ruined so I'm doing a vow renewal on my 3-year anniversary and getting the wedding and photos I always wanted. I decided to go with red for my dress because I wanted a color the first time but my mother was appalled by that. My husband is wearing a kilt and we're doing a handfasting ceremony in Red Rock Canyon in Las Vegas. This is where I need opinions: Here is my dress: It has a longer than needed train so I'll either bustle from the beginning or have it shortened. I know I want my hair like this (I'll have extensions or clip in bc it's still too short):Or some variation or a more casual style because I'm just not fussy. I'm doing a brooch bouquet with vintage and new rhinestone and silver brooches like this: Here's where I'm stumped: Which kilt to go with the dress: ORHe'll probably be doing a black shirt (or whatever color scheme I go with). COLORS: I'm thinking peacock feathers might be a good accent and a good way to blend the colors OR just using a black and white them as accents OR a tan/beige/gold accent theme. VEIL: short birdcage with accents OR long white cathedral veil longer than the dress FLOWERS: Should I do feathers accents in the brooch bouquet OR ribbon accents JEWELRY: subtle so the dress stands out OR chunky matching necklace to theme or accessories. Any opinions or ideas would be great!! HELP!!

If you go back a bunch of pages there is a dress that has a similar top that was done very nicely and looked gorgeous. I don't remember who did it though. QUESTION: Has anyone bought veils or shoes from these sites? How did it turn out?

So I was able to take more photos of the dress. I could not lace it up myself and I just realized that I'll be by myself that day getting ready so if any one will be visiting vegas at that time, let me know! Anyway, I'd like some feedback. I'm happy with the overall quality and fit. The dress under the rosettes is not the same color and I was thinking about shortening the train and moving the extra rosettes to the skirt to make it more dense. Any thoughts? The dress is more the dark red color in the photo of the skirt and I'm very happy with that. The bust line seems to have been adjusted at one point to make the side less revealing and I'm pretty happy with that overall. It does have a privacy panel but I'm thinking with the laces tightened it won't be so revealing and I'll probably just go without. I chose the red for the dress because we are doing our renewal on 1-21-12 in Red Rock Canyon and I wanted something different and unexpected.
