Shoe/Beach Options
brittbrodin replied to brittbrodin's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
The wedges are definitely the way to go! I advised my bridesmaids against the whole heel idea, but in the end they chose the looking good option and went with the heels!!! :-) I give them credit though, no one fell!! -

I am soooo happy with our choice and can't wait to see how they turn out. Also...as someone mentioned before...she's located in PV, so she'll hand deliver to the hotel. It was totally worth it. You definitely won't regret it!! We absolutely loved how everything turned out and she really has a way of capturing every detail and your style w/o even meeting you!!

Thanks - is was sooooo good!! Bummer to hear about all the closings. My 4 year old nephew who lives in Monterrey called my mom and said, "Grandma, I DON'T have the flu. And how do you fix the flu so I can go back to school" He is so darn cute and loves school so much, so he's pretty bummed. Anyway, hopefullly conditions improve quickly. Good luck with the cake choices...and enjoy taste testing! :-) -

The one I posted is the only one I have so far. I'm sure I'll get more once we get our professional pictures back (which is ANY day now!! so I'll try to post more. On a side note, Edna - I noticed you're from Monterrey. My sister lives there and she said the schools are closed for now. Any new developments? I hope everyone is staying flu free down there! -

I just wanted to update all you guys on how the whole shoe situation turned out. I wore 2 1/2 inch wedges and never had to even look down they were so comfy and not a bit wobbly on the woven mat. Most of my bridesmaids wore heels since they felt frumpy in flats. One girl even wore 4 inch spiky ones!!! Needless to say, no one fell but they were looking down a lot just to be on the safe side. Plus, when they got to the front there was no mat so everyone sank in the sand!! :-) -

i got married at Las Caletas and requested a cupcake tower with a one tier cake on top, just for the traditional "cutting of the cake" It looked amazing and was DELICIOUS! -

I wanted to ask all of the Dreams PV brides which they were doing: Having OOT bags delivered to the rooms before hand ($3 a pop) or if you are all handing them out to your guests. I think FI and I have decided to deliver the OOT bags to the rooms personally, for a special touch and a bit of cash saved. Rebeca mentioned that we could request room info / numbers from front desk with no problems. Has anyone else considered doing this, or do you think that having them delivered before hand is a better option? (Keep in mind, FI and I will be there a week before everyone-- hooray for backward honeymoons, lol) We also decided to hand deliver our OOT bags. You're right, it does add a nice personal touch plus you get a chance to greet everyone! :-)

Although I am sure I can find someone to bring me drinks while we are taking pics hee hee hee! I totally forgot that Mexico's daylight savings time is like a month after ours! Then, you'll definitely have enough time, especially if you don't have a bridal party.

I must have missed that part in my review. I would definitely recommend having Reggie go over a little earlier. We were really fighting for daylight after the ceremony; especially since the boat over was running like 45 minutes late (thanks to my notoriously late family!! :-) Beth, our photographer felt pretty rushed and I really wished we would've been able to take some pics beforehand. I know Beth still captured some AMAZING shots, but she too was working against the sunset. We should be getting our professional pics back soon, so I'll have more insight then!

But, I'm sure they'll be some other who will want to do it. They turned out so awesome and all of our guests thought they were so neat!
