  1. Hi ladies! In regards to music, I have hired DJ Doremixx for our reception and they will also be providing me with sound system for the ceremony. If anyone needs info on any of my vendors, I would love to share....I'm very happy with all the decisions I have made so far. I always have lots of questions for Jacy and she usually takes a couple of days to answer, but she always does. I usually gather a bunch of questions and just send them all at once, one question per line...I just feel it's easier for her this way...anyway...if I can help in any way please let me know
  2. Hi AsiaJane, congrats on booking your rooms. I'm getting married on June 18th....YEY...we will arrive on June 14th with a bunch of family! Let's def get together
  3. I'm also curious on how you glued the velum and how did you attach it to the base? How did you do the stamping? Thanks
  4. Also...I just booked our flight thru jet blue (more expensive than I expected btw) & they said I can't hang my dress since they don't have a closet. I will have to put my dress in carry on compartment.... Freaking out here.... Any ideas ladies?
  5. DPA only requires the local photographer (if u hire someone outside their list - which I did) to stay in for tge night. All other vendors have to pay a $35 (I think) day fee. I just want to try to negotiate since I have like 10 outside vendors...anyone having the same problem?
  6. Hi ladies! I wa wondering who you are hiring for your hair and make up. I've been talking with Adrian Guerra and he is super nice. Also what are you doing for flowers? I'm talking to Marvin from Mayan Diseno Floral and I love his work. My important question is about day passes for outside vendors. I'm hiring mostly outside vendors and DPA wants to charge a fee fe each. Did anybody run into this and if so, did you pay for each or were able to negotiate? Thanks
  7. I booked Sascha for 8 hours but I'm splitting between 2 days. I'm doing 5 hours on the wedding day and 3 hours TTD in a cenote. He will be staying the night at my resort.
  8. I hired Sascha for my 06/18/2011 wedding at Dreams Puerto Aventuras...I can't wait to meet him
  9. I booked Sascha for my June 18 wedding at dreams puerto aventura. Can you send me some of your pics as well as the videographer info? [email protected] Thanks so much
  10. Hi! So I have some questions and updates: - I hired Sascha Gluck for my photographer, has anyone used him? - I am hiring DJ Doremixx...did anybody used him? - I've been talking to Adrian at the make up pros - anyone else? - also, do you think I need an outside wedding planner to make sure everything comes out perfect? - what did you girls did or are doing about flowers? - I am using a travel agent for the bookings as well as all my guests. Her name is Darcy and she specializes in DW. Her company is A Ticket to Paradise

  12. Hi all...so I'm in the process of choosing a dj for my june, 2011 wedding. And since I heard so many wonderful things about both DJ Mannia and DJ Doremixx I decided to contact both.  At first both responded to my emails very promptly and I was really debating on who to choose because they both have the same prices and Doremixx offers a couple of extra things.  But now, Doremixx stopped responding to my emails and I've been waiting since August 7th for his deposit information, that he promised! And Mannia has been as responsive as always...  Just figured I would put something here and see if anyone has had any similar problems.  Thanks  Â
  13. I've been talking to Adrian and he's been great. Prices are really good too  http://www.stylingtriorivieramaya.com/

  18. Thanks ladies! I'm extremelly happy with Rebecca! She is awesome to work with and very flexible! She charged me $25/hour for design only - she took about 4 hours to finish. She also used her printing vendor (I think) for the printing and cutting of the passports and that was $158 for 110 passports. I stapled the pages together using a booklet stapler ($30 from staples - which I will return now) and I bought the crystals from Michael's now I just have to finish putting this crystals on them (taking wayyyyy too long) and buy A2 envelopes...and mail them out

  22. Hi ladies! So, I'm getting married on June 18, 2011 at Dreams Puerto Aventuras. I love music and dancing and will have lots of young friends coming to the wedding. I'm debating whether I want to have a dj or live band for the reception. I know that a live band is very expensive, but I still would like to get some quotes. As far as dj, I would also love to hear from you ladies about referrals. I was thinking about asking the dj to bring a percussionist to follow the beat of his music with the drums....I went to a bar this weekend, and they had that and it was awesome! Let me know if you can refer someone to me! Thanks
