Hello ladies!!!! So, I just wanted to send a quick update!!! I'm happily married since saturday and Dreams was perfect!!! My 30 guests were very happy! Lindsay was absolutely awesome...I will post a review as soon as I get home. We are having our honeymoon at the royal playa del carmen and it's absolutely amazing, gorgeous resort, I def recommend. Unfortunatelly my biggest fear has happened which was rainning on my wedding day, as soon as i arrived at the lobby to walk down the isle it started, and it never stopped!!!! They were quick to move everything to El Patio and we had the ceremony and reception there! I was sad that I planned this wedding for so long and put so much effort into and I didn't get one pic on the gazebo or the bridge....neither the beach!!! But other than that it was perfect!!!!

Hi Tracy, we decided to rent El Patio, so Jacy said we don't have to bring too many decorations because the restaurant is beautifully decorated. For tables I'm doing orchids, all my flowers are orchids, i'm getting silk ones. I'm doing welcome bags for each guest. i posted pics of all my things. I just also got pashminas in NYC for $2.50 each and they are beautiful. I wanted to give my guests welcome bags as a totem of appreciation for the fact that they are going all the way to the wedding. I hope this helped

I was giong to wait to make them too but I couldn't resist. I have 30 guests confirmed and I'm doing one bag per couple and the single people will get one as well. So, I have 17 bags for right now. So, i bought enough things to make 20 bags, and keeping recepts just in case I have to return something I can wait to meet Sascha, he was so awesome to work with! Where are you getting married? I can't wait to see your pics

Hi AsiaJane, the El Patio is 750 rental fee on top of the package cost. They would close the restaurant for you if you pay the fee. I wanted to post the preliminary pics for some of my OOT bag contents...what do you ladies think? Extra items will be: mini aloe vera, alka seltzer + personalized beach towel + personalized tote + welcome letter + itinerary of events + coloring books for kids + maybe koozie + chocolate I'm also adding these + kids sunblock to the bags of guests with children I put 2 on each ziplock

Hi Tracy, I'm getting married on June 18 and my dress is long and big and beautiful (lol, i think it is)...check it out its jenna by maggie sottero. I'm not changing for the reception. However, my photographer will be doing a trash the dress section with me the morning after, and we will be going to a cenote so i got a $99 dress from davids & bridal. I did hire dj doremixx for the wedding because music and dancing are super important to me. Also, i thought the mariachi band was way too expensive so we don't think we will have that for the cocktail hour. When I first started to plan my wedding, I spoke with Del Soll photography (because i wanted them so badly), at the end i couldnt afford them however, one thing they advised me was to have my ceremony around 6, because the sun will be perfect, plus less hot in june. So, my ceremony is at 6. Cocktail hour will be around 6:30. this will be around one hour at the barracuda bar (i think), then reception after that. I'm still debating for reception either at pool area or renting el patio. i also have the minister info if anybody needs. Here is the info: Make Up/Hair: Adrian Guerra - Styling Trio Riviera Maya - [email protected] Dreams Minister: Alex Monroy - [email protected] (he is super nice and great to work with) that's it for now ladies!!!!

Hi AsiaJane, I havent' chosen a package yet, I'm waiting to see how many people will actually come to the wedding. Jacy said it's ok to choose later. I'm getting the free package anyways because of the amount of rooms I already have booked. Here are some info on my vendors: 1 - Photographer: Sascha Gluck, I'm super excited to work with him. I love his work. He will do 5 hours on wedding day and the next day we will do a TTD at cenote 2 - DJ: Doremixx, they will be bringing sound system for ceremony as well as recepion 3 - Make Up/Hair: Adrian Guerra - Styling Trio Riviera Maya. i def wanted to get a perfect professional, and all I can say is that i loved the whole negotiation with Adrian, he is awesome, he is also doing all my bridesmaids and moms 4 - Welcome dinner on friday - I'm still deciding this one, I may rent one of the restaurants or do a catamaran sunset cruise. I originally wanted to take all guests to playa, but it became expensive to charter a bus. 5 - Flowers: this is a big one, I'm working on quotes right now, I'm either going to get silk orchids for or i will get this florist i found here on this website, marvin j ku kinil from maya diseno floral. or once jacy sends me a quote, just with the resort the problem with getting this many outside vendors is that i have to pay $55 for each to come in. i'm trying to negotiate that with Jacy right now...we will see what happens let me know if you have any questions. I've been emailing jacy for a while now, so i have lots of answers from her i'm a control freak if you havent notice yet
