  1. As a beer drinker, I'd have to say go with the koozie for the can. Bottled beverages tend to hold their coolness for quite longer than if they are in an aluminum can.

Where did you get your candles? You mind me asking how much they cost? Thanks!
  3. Wow...great pics. Thanks so much! Do you know if they hold the beach ceremony and beach reception in the same place, or are they done on two different beaches?
  4. How did you get into contact with Gaby, I am not getting a response from anyone. Did you have to call down there??
  5. Holy crap!!!! Wow...they really charge a lot. Im guessing it is 300 bucks per couple for blood tests. Thats insane, but I guess worth it if youre marrying the person you love. They sure are making a buck or two. No wonder every other ecomony in the world is doing awesome and ours is on the down slope!!!
  6. OK, I havent seen any September 09 brides at Dreams Cancun. Am I the only one Whats the deal with that Is that still hurricane season? Does it rain a ton in September. I need help, I am so fretting over this!!!
  7. This is true. After having travelled out of the country in ther past, I know having a TA is a huge help. It costs a little more money, but you have ZERO headaches and dont have to worry while you are on vacation/getting married. Everything that goes into getting married is stressful enough, let alone any inconvenence you have at your resort. USE A TA!! Thats my opinion.
  8. Does anyone know what the fees are for all the legal paperwork, blood tests, transcriptions, etc. Just looking for a round about figure if anyone knows.
  9. Congrats and Happy Planning!!!
  10. Welcome to the forum. Dreams Resorts in Cancun, Tulum, Dominican Republic I hear are all great!!
  11. Is Dreams charging you for a "day pass?" If so, what is that cost if you dont mind me asking?
  12. Wow!!! The hotel says the government "CANT" shut them down. Well, if I had a soldier in my face with a machine gun telling me to leave, guess what...Im gonna do it!! Hahaha
  13. ...and I'm sure he doesnt want the responsibility of taking the blame if I dont care for the pics
  14. As far as the contract, I wouldnt ask my friend (since grade school) to enter into a legally binding contract. We do for eachother because that is what we want to do. I fear that if I ask him for a contract, that would put a bad taste in our mouths and turn us more into business acquaintances than friends. Ill just leave the decision up to him. I put everything out on the table and whatever he wants to do Ill be fine with. I just dont know if I can trust some random photographer that Dreams Cancun picks for me.
  15. In dealing with something so expensive and something so important like a wedding, people should "ask" less and "demand" more. If you tell them "this is the was its going to be" then they respond differently and you dont leave the ultimate decision up to someone else. And I wouldnt pay a dime for something I didnt want. I take negative comments with a grain of salt, but still keep it as some additional info in the back of my head.
  16. Unreal. They are 6 years old...and they probably wouldnt even like the surf and turf anyways!! Half price isnt so bad though. Just make sure you aren't paying for the open bar for the children too, only the meal. That could get expensive (Im not really sure how much per person.) It wouldnt surprise me if they "forgot" to credit you (or take off the charge) for the open bar for the 6 year olds!!
  17. Maui wowwie!!! Congratulations and welcome to the forum!!
  18. Thank God for his excellent water and diving skills hahaha. That was sweet, very thoughtful, and unique!! Congratulations!

    Hi There!

    Welcome to the forum!!
  20. Welcome to the forum!!
  21. Well, I just got off the phone with him and he put it to me like this, "I'm going to have my camera with me regardless." So I guess that answers my question. Now, regarding Dreams Cancun, does anyone know what part of the wedding their photographer covers? Do they just cover the ceremony, or everything from start to finish (including getting dressed, cocktail hour, reception, etc.)
