I watched it. For me it was ironic that it was on tonight. I'm walking in a 5 mile walk tomorrow. My best friend has III stage ovarian cancer which her mom died from 7 years ago. We started a charity called Sisters Against Ovarian Cancer and had a fundraiser in May to raise money for research at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston where she is having her treatment. She's been on 3 different chemos in the last 2 1/2 years and has not been in remission. She's starting an experimental drug in a pill form in a couple weeks. Please say a prayer for her. There are six of us that started this organization and we raised $16,000 in one night. It was wonderful. Our second fundraiser is the walk tomorrow "Step Up and Break the Silence". It starts at 9:30 and we have over 145 people registered to walk and hopefully more will register in the morning. September is Ovarian Cancer Month, that's why we picked tomorrow for the walk. We expect to raise over $30,000 in addition to the $16,000. Our goal for this year is $50,000. It's our first year and we're getting bigger and bigger every day. We have a website if anyone wants to check it out, it's Sisters Against Ovarian Cancer and it tells all about the walk. We're pretty proud of it. We have a d.j. and balloon arches and signs, etc. I will post pics next week. My dad died of stomach cancer 5 years ago too. It sucks and I'm so glad people are standing up to cancer and raising some money. We need to make cancer go away forever!
