Both tanning beds and spray tan will even out your tan lines. Your best option to even out tan lines though is air brush tanning. I suggest using a lot of sun screen and wearing a string bikini top to minimize tan lines. The best self tanner I have used is Lancome. It goes on evenly and the color is natural. Oh, it doesn't smell bad either which is a huge issue with a lot of the other brands on the market!

I am using TA Jennifer on this board. I have been very happy so far. My wedding is still a long ways off though! Initially, I was not going to use a TA and just have everyone book on their own using one of the on-line travel sites. However, the more I thought about and issues that started coming up, like activities for guests, group ground transportation, etc, made me decide to go with a TA. I put the TA contact information on my website and also on my STDs to get the word out. I also gave the TA a copy of my guest list with contact information so she can send me updates on my spreadsheet when people contact her to make travel arrangements.

OUCH! I would just be up front with him and tell him that this is your day and you do not want to share it. I don't think there is anything wrong with saying that and I wouldn't consider a direct response like that bitchy at all. Your cousin's husband obviously doesn't "get it". It was extremely inconsiderate and cowardly for your friend to drop out of the wedding via text. She should have at least given you the courtesy of a uncomfortable phone call - especially this close to the wedding. It's good that you feel ok about it, though. I'm sure you'll have a fantastic wedding with or without her!

I think it's cool that you are allowing people to invite guests you don't know. You have the oppotunity to meet a lot of great people that way while allowing your guests to have an even better time by inviting their friends to make a bigger party out of your wedding! I am not telling my guests that they can invite extra people but I did invite all my single guests with a date so they would be able to bring someone to hang with. It is important to me that my guests have the best time possible! BTW: Great Bulldog! I have one too!

I used to get infections quite often until I became a peroxide junky! I soak all my earrings in hydrogen peroxide before I put them in regardless of what they are made of. If I leave in the same pair of earrings for an extended period of time (like my diamond studs) I dip a q-tip in peroxide and press it to my earlobe, both front and back, to "degerm" my earring hole. I have no issues now - regardless of the material the earrings are made out of.

I think it is completely fine to include that message on your RSVP card. You could also include a card with the invitation outlining destination and travel details and include it there. This way, they can retain the information containing your travel reservation system after they send the RSVP back to you in case they want to wait a couple weeks to book their room.

I think I am going to end up changing my name. If it were up to me, I would keep my maiden name. I am only changing it because I know it is very imporant to my fiance. I think he would be extremely disappointed if I didn't. Changing from Davis to Russo is ok, IMO. I am ok with Russo as a last name.

We're going with OOT bags instead of favors. I am doing one per couple and one for each single going. However, some of the items I am putting in the bags, like the beach towels, I am doing one for each guest. I am also planning on making each bag a little bit different so they can be personalized them for each couple/guest based on things we know they like.

I also wanted to show my fiance my dress but he will not look at it either. The boutique I bought the dress from sent me a swatch so he could match the color but the style is going to be hard without him seeing it. I'm just planning to have more input on his outfit choices in order to make sure our outfits work together.

The vineyards out in the Hamtpons are beautiful! As for your other question - keeping the guest list down will keep the cost down. Unfortunately, the problem with at home weddings is more people want to go since the commitment to attend is not nearly as great as with a destination wedding. The number of attendees drive up the cost BIG TIME! If you can keep the numbers down, you'll keep the costs down too =0)

We chose the gold package too. I had issues with the menu selections because I have quite a few picky eaters in my group - some won't eat fish, two are vegetarians that only eat fish and one is a complete vegan. When I explained this to Nayeli, she advised that substitutions could be made on the menu. She also said we could give guests two options from the menu but that they would have to know ahead of time how many of each meal they would be making. My plan is to choose one fish and one chicken dish and ask guests to choose on the RSVP card which dish they would like. I will have one dish off the vegetarian menu for the vegan. Hope this helps =)

I booked my resort and booked my photographer last summer and I am not getting married until December. Resorts and photographers book up fast so the earlier you can book, the more likely they'll be available for you.

I'm sorry that you went through that - so frustrating. I'm sure you'll find another resort with a much better WC. It will definitely make your planning and wedding a lot more enjoyable to have an accomodating WC helping you!

We're not having an AHR. It was never even something we considered for a lot of the reasons already posted on here - money, planning, etc. We're spending a lot of extra money to "upgrade" our honeymoon. The AHR is not in our budget.
