I was getting cellulite seriously in the butt and thigh. I used to run track in high school and part of college. During practice my coaches had doing an exercise that targeted (strengthen) my calves, hamstrings, and thighs. I started doing the exercises again. Basically, I would get on the ball of my feet and go up & down. I do repetitions of 50 in three different positions (butterfly, pigeon toe, side by side) that target my inner thighs, front thighs, side thighs, and hamstrings. I managed to diminish cellulite in certain areas and totally eliminate it altogether in other areas. I want to include that I work out twice a day for 15 minutes. I run one mile in the morning and also in the evening. I also increase my water intake.

Your Favorite Cake Flavor? What Are the Options?
JBinjour replied to Juniorbaby01's topic in Destination Weddings in Jamaica
Rum cake is really good, but not everyone knows how to make it properly. So, you have to be really careful with this of cake. Here are some problems that you can encounter with this type of cake: - no taste - too strong - too doughy - too many fruit - too dense - frosting too sweet/no flavor In the past, I've eaten many rum cakes that were really great to really disgusting. If your baker can provide a small sample, please try it first. FYI, American style fruit cake (http://tippinthescales.files.wordpre.../fruitcake.jpg) is not Jamaican rum cake. Jamaican style rum cake is not Tortuga rum cake (http://www.bluemountaincoffeebeans.c...ugaRumCake.jpg), which is golden.. Jamaican rum cake is black (aka black cake) (http://www.freewebs.com/marshasjamai...all_edited.jpg). -
You can bring on the plane. No one will bother you. It's cooked/baked item. It's also not a liquid. Unless, you are dealing with a d*** security officer, you should be fine. I didn't bother saving the top layer. I had so much luggage. I couldn't bother with one more thing. Plus, I had the flu on my honeymoon. I didn't even want cake. I'm not into flowers. LOL, I would rather diamonds or at least a cookie. I didn't bother with freezing the bouquet. My guests tore it apart. I loved everyone moment of it. It was like Death Bridal Bouquet Match 2007. Again, I didn't have the patience or strength to travel with another item. I have my pictures of my bouquet for my memories. I would have trashed my dress too. My mother paid for it. She insisted that I preserve it. LOL, she also threaten to throw a fit.

You should book ASAP. It true that dates will fill up very quickly. I think a date was the most difficult thing to do. At least, you already have your month and year secured. I personally like planning everything and anything early, in order to avoid any unforeseeable mishaps. Plus, it gives you time to play around with your budget without any time constraints. Congrats Welcome Good Luck! Fyi, I had my honeymoon at ROR. It was amazing. I went to RMB for my one year anniversary. You can't go wrong at either property.

How many of you have/had a weddingmoon baby?
JBinjour replied to Kelly C's topic in Chit Chat Corner!
I did not have one. I did not want one. I made sure I was first in line for my depo shot....LOL. My friend had one. She said that it was a blessing, but it was also too much all at once. Our first anniversary past in August 2008. So, we are planning to try in August 2009. We (hopefully) will have a second anniversary baby. My last depo shot is February 2009. I am not looking forward to the side effects. =( -
My wedding planner had the chair covers, sashes, and chairs. Since, I didn't want to carry so many items with me. I also didn't want to ship anything to Jamaica prior to my arrival. I rented the items through her. She charged me $3.00 for the chair, chair covers, and sashes (as a set). This was much cheaper than purchasing.

Your Favorite Cake Flavor? What Are the Options?

I did two flavors for my cake. The base of my cake was traditional Jamaican rum cake (aka black cake) and two other layers were strawberry short cake. -
Group Rate Costs
JBinjour replied to Excited_Ottawa's topic in Destination Weddings in Dominican Republic
You can also price match a vacation from one travel company to another. In the past, I've price matched a vacation, received the price matched total, and plus 10% percent the difference. If there's a particular company or TA that you want to use, but their vacations rate are too high. If you can provide proof of lower package, they will price match in order to keep your business. I also like using BookIt.com® Travel Specials: Discounted Hotels, Resorts & Vacation Deals. I normally can find packages with them much lower than most TAs. The only website that was lower than BookIt.com® Travel Specials: Discounted Hotels, Resorts & Vacation Deals was beachdestintations.com. Their website looked a little sketchy to me. So, I spoke to my TA at bookit.com about the lower rate. He was able to pricematch it. FYI, you can also contact BookIt.com® Travel Specials: Discounted Hotels, Resorts & Vacation Deals for Group Hotel Reservations by BookIt.com. Their group reservation department comes with a free group coordinator. I believe you can input your information and they will contact you with a quote. Or, you can call directly. Here's the contact info for my TA: Steve @ 1-888-782-9722 x.6244. -

I totally feel your pain. I was delayed by Hurricane Dean last year. I was also in a total panic about this situation. I suggest you relax. There isn't much that you can do at this moment.

ROR Brides - September Wedding Weather
JBinjour replied to quiche's topic in Jamaica Accommodations & Site
I got married on August 25, 2007. Yes, it was hurricane season. During the previous week, Jamaica was hit by Hurricane Dean. My trip was delayed by two days. When we got there, Ocho Rios had a curfew. Everything closed between midnight and 2 am. Plus, the areas that were opened were running on limited electricity. There were plenty of blackouts during that week. Honestly, August and September in Jamaica is very HOT!!! The temperate can go over 90 degrees. In addition, the weather doesn't cooperate fully, but it is tolerable. It is hurricane season. It will rain for about 5,10, even 20 minutes. It will cool down for a few minutes. Then everything will dry out immediately, because the heat will return. It all depends on where you are getting married too. If you are getting married by the water, it tends to be cooler. I got married in a tropical garden. LOL, that "ish" was HOT!!! I have family (husband's and mother's) throughout the island. So, I had the pleasure of experiencing the different temperatures/climates throughout the island i.e., cool Blue Mountains (Mandeville), hot as hell Kingston, to breezy, hot and cool Ochi (St. Marys)! Good Luck!! -

I work out twice a day. I will run one mile in and another in the evening. Or, I will change it up with the elliptical. Regardless, I workout twice a day.
-
I use Origins | Cream Bar everyday. Plus, I use Buy Biore Pore Minimizing Refining Exfoliator Online at drugstore.com every other day. This combination has been working really well on my skin.
-
Well, I workout twice a day. I run one mile in morning and another mile in the evening. Plus, I walk a 1/2 to work and 1/2 from work. This is great. I am getting 3 miles/day. Sweet!!!

I am incorporating more and more organic foods into my diet. Yes, it's pricey, but I like it. LOL, I can't seem to get the hubby onboard yet. He's constantly watching what I am eating. Once in a while, we wants to try it. I think I will convert him over very soon.

I am the same way too. I gain weight in my feet. I usually can wear an 8.5-9. When I gain weight, I wear 9.5-10. I am losing a crap load of weight right now. So, I am fitting back into my 8.5/9s comfortable. If I can't fit the shoe, I won't wear it. LOL, I don't do corns!!!

I take Mega Vita Min for Women T/R | Multiple Vitamins Supplements | Vitamin World. I really like it. The only downside is that it makes my pee highlighter yellow. Once you get over the initial shock, it's fine.

This is another poop story.... Okay, I totally agree about constipation with using Alli. I also experienced the same issue in the beginning. I tried using the Traditional Medicinals Smooth Move herbal laxative. It wasn't a "smooth move" with that tea. Actually, it was a painfully griping move. It also didn't work fully. I wasn't entirely cleaned out. So, I reverted back to my roots. When I had poopy issues as a kid. My mom gave me citrate magnesium. Basically, it tastes like a really really really sour Sprite. I drank a full bottle and two bottles of water. Then, I went 4 hours later. I want to stress the word went!! Everything was out of my system. I knew it was, because I felt lighter and at ease. My constipation was making me irritable, my stomach was painful, hard and bloated from the back-up, and super gassy. The citrate magnesium cleared me out. These symptoms also went away too. My bowels are back on track again. LOL, I am girl that goes 2-3/ day. So, the constipation scared me. FYI, my current weight lost is 15 lbs. I've been on Alli for three weeks, almost 4 weeks. I stay within the 15 grams of fat per meal. Plus, I work out twice a day (15 mins in the morning and 15 mins in the evening). I already seen the changes in my body. I brought out my clothes from last year. I got into them and looked good. Good Luck Everyone!!!

I made this the other night for the hubby and I. I used the weight watchers whole wheat pita bread. There were only 1 gram of fat each. I also used olive oil spray. It had 0 gram of fat.
