Those are gorgeous! Dang! I wish I would have had a chance to book this vendor! Well I guess in the end it worked out well for me since we only used it for one hour because of the wind and my guests that all went to bed early! I can't wait to see real pics of these being used at someone's cocktail hour and/or reception!

I love your pictures!! OH MY GOSH! I love the detail pics...the rings on the starfish close up, DH getting ready, the pic of your dress and shoes! The backgrounds are AMAZING! I am so jealous (but in a good way! ). I LOVE the pics of you standing on the stone wall and DH sitting in front of you (GORGEOUS). I love the heart made of flowers on the beach...those are amazing. And the giant vines are breathtaking! The black and white ones of you two by the blue building are so romantic! I think your pro pics are my favorites of everyone's that I've seen on here

How can I Post/Rip Wedding Video?
Kits55 replied to Kits55's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
Thanks for the suggestions. I'm not against just buying extra copies but I'm afraid I won't get them in time for our two receptions. Thanks for the input! -
that is gorgeous! had I known about this place I probably would have rented from them instead. I know the lighting and everything would have been different for ours Each set of ours could only seat about 6-7 at once. The ones you're getting are exactly what I had in mind for what I wanted but waiting until the last minute doesn't leave a lot of time to research things Great find! Thanks for sharing!

We chose Secrets Maroma Beach for a few reasons: my ultimate number one choice was Maroma-Orient Express...that was WAAAAYY too expensive for our guests and even for me. So, I then wanted to be on the same beach since it has been rated in the top 10 beaches by the Travel channel multiple times. I really wanted a beach ceremony. The beach could not have sandbags, spikes, or much erosion The resort was new so I knew everything would look nice We wanted all inclusive and adults only We wanted it far enough away from Cancun so that the whole strip of resorts wasn't in the background of our pictures We wanted to be close enough to PDC that we could go there to shop, etc The Royal PDC was our close second choice but I liked SMB's beach better This is kind of dumb: no wrist bands at SMB and no reservations need to made for the restaurants....and we never had to wait for more than 5 minutes for a table

Blood test question..
Kits55 replied to Jenbear422's topic in Destination Wedding in Riviera Maya, Cancun & surrounding areas
We got married in Mexico and we had to have the blood test because we wanted our ceremony to be legal. If you have just the symbolic ceremony no blood test is required. -
the link won't open in either of my browsers. other websites seem to be working and I'm definitely not knowledgeable enough to know what is going on We did our TTD session at Azul Cenote, which is just south of Puerto Aventuras as well. Ours did not the kick ass cave that is in the teaser pic but we had some beautifully colored water to work with.

We got married in RM and we had beach lounge furniture. It was not quite as nice as it looked in the pictures but we paid $561 for enough furniture to seat 20 guests, but we could have seated a few more guests actually. The price included us having it all night long. I'm not sure who the vendor is because the resort WC set it all up for me. Here are pictures of how ours looked. There were also three taller tables that were placed elsewhere that were supposed to light up. I did have a quote from another company...let me see if I can find it. FURNITURE COST…. INCLUDES TRANSPORTATION AND SET UP 10 – 20 GUEST …………..$600.00 USD (see photos attached) (only 4 hrs of service) For how long will you need the lounge furniture? each additional hour is 75 usd. (besides the 4th hour) Please note you must take care of the outsider supplier fee of your hotel, as we cannot refund the payment for our services in case we are not allowed to access to the property. the website is Transportation, Tours & Hotels in Cancun Mexico: Online Reservations I received a phone call the day after I sent an email from Valeria. She said they purple pillows but you can pay extra to have their seamstresses make the pillows different colors I think she told me. See pictures below:

The room service menu (i was there 2 weeks ago for my wedding) is definitely not as extensive as the restaurants like Simistar mentioned. DH was craving Italian one night when Portofino was closed and we had to get room service. There were only like pasta options. They mostly have burgers, quesadillas, pizza, pasta, and some other choices that are "fancier". The beach option by building 17 for the romantic dinner is right by the diving palapa and even though it's a night it's probably not as pretty as the location by building 27. The "garden" and grassy areas aren't anything too special IMHO. After being there and strongly considering the romantic dinner option we decided that doing a couples massage (we upgraded the one that we got in the Ultimate package) was something we'd like more. Plus you can go early and stay late if you want to do the hydrotherapy circuit.

I carried mine on plus two carry-ons in addition. Oops, I meant ONE carry-on and a personal item We flew American Airlines and the steward guy totally rocked. He even offered us a bottle of champagne but I can't drink so we had to forego. Most airlines are really understanding and everyone thinks it's really cool!

I had my wedding at Secrets Maroma Beach and I am SO glad that I had it there. (for many reasons). We had our reception inside at a restaurant because I hate strong winds. Simistar was married at SMB as well last December and had her reception by the pool. Here is the link to her review: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t34046 Here are two pictures of how our reception would have looked on the beach if I had still wanted to keep it on the beach. This is someone else's set-up. Our set-up would have had 3 large rounds tables instead of the one long one.

Are you guys having music during the ceremony or a DJ for the reception? Congratulations! Lauraereed: I just got married at SMB about two weeks ago and and it's still pretty fresh in my memory. For our ceremony we rented speakers (they were having a "sale" for $80 plus the 10% tax. We hooked up our Ipod and there was a guy (i think from the resort) that played the songs at the appropriate times. He actually did a great job and even took my requests afterward. We did not do anything for the reception as it was inside World Cafe, no one would have danced much, and we would have had to pay to get the speakers moved. I was glad we did the iPod thing because then the videographer was able to use our music on the video. Most of our group is family or friends over 30, so I doubt there will be much dancing going on... Kelly Kellykm it would be so beautiful to have a solo guitarist for the ceremony. I will say though that if you are doing group pictures AFTER the ceremony then your guitarist may not stick around for the beginning of the cocktail hour. We used the videographer, photographer, and Mexican trio in the Ultimate package. They all only stayed for 60 minutes exactly. It might be different if you are paying for an outside vendor but our group pictures took like 45 minutes! So by the time I was able to get up to the cocktail hour our trio only played like 3 songs and they were already done Are you guys having your reception by the pool? The gazebo there is gorgeous!

I received our ceremony video before we left Mexico but now I can't post it online. I have no idea what I even need to do but I don't want to download a program that gives my computer a virus, etc. I also don't want to post my video if it would be illegal. There is no copyright symbol or wording on my video so I think it would be OK to post? My in-laws asked if we could give them a copy of the DVD but I have no idea how to do this. Does anyone on here know how to do this? We only have Windows Media Player and HP player on our laptop. TIA!

I just got married about two weeks ago and already I'm talking about that I wish we could have a "do over" so that I could plan things differently. lol! If I could have added something I would have spent more money on my dress and found the "perfect" one. This is weird but I probably would have paid to have a "security" person to keep the nasties out of our video and pictures. Our WC had to shoo a lady away that was taking pictures of our ceremony from all sides as well as a lady that kept walking her dogs near us. Watching our video and seeing our pictures I realize there are too many nasties in the background! I would have cut the lounge furniture for the cocktail hour probably. We paid about $560 to use it for the entire night. Our reception ended up being inside because of the wind and all of our guests were exhausted by 9:30-10:00 pm so no one used it for the rest of the night. I would have also cut the OOT coolers and items because we had guests that stayed only two nights and most stayed only four nights. No one used theirs except for my family even though other guests say they liked them.
-
I wish we would have put in our bags: Aloe Pashminas for the women Photo share cards (if we had been at a different resort maybe a bottle opener) Big Hits: 6 can coolers for OOT bag Candy Granola Bars Kleenex Welcome/Guest Book Big Misses: hand sanitizer small plastic zippered pouches Neosporin Hand Wipes Shout Wipes Meet the Guests Word Finds So I had to have my mom help me compile this list because my family used the OOT coolers the most. Our guests were always busy and didn't just sit and relax all that much, so no one really did the word finds. My cousins did say that they cried when they were reading theirs. No one needed first aid of any kind although maybe some Imodium for my poor dad would have helped. Instead of buying a bunch of first aid kits I think that for us the best bet would have been to buy a big one and designate someone in our group to keep it. Everyone always washed their hands before eating because of the Swine Flu so the hand sanitizer never got used. Yes, we stayed at an all inclusive with the candy and bars came in handy in between meals, on the beach, and on excursions too.

Kits55 Pro Pic Teasers

I was so exhausted! I believe my eye liner and mascara might have been waterproof but other than that it was just normal stuff (to the best of my knowledge. I hardly ever wear make-up). Obviously I also just slept with my hair done -
Hi Everyone: I know that a lot of girls use photo sharing websites like Flickr, Snapfish, Picasso, etc. I currently use all three of them as well as Mpix for printing more professional books, etc. I am finding that I want to be able to share pictures on a website as opposed to an "album" where people have to click thumbnails and then view the pictures one by one or even with a slideshow. So basically I'm looking for a website that is privacy protected and secure. I came across a website maker that is called Sampa. I'm looking for reviews on it but all I can find are the reviews when the website was going through beta testing. I don't know enough about websites to know if this one really is secure. I'm going to put a few boudoir pictures on the website so I want to make sure that randoms can't just go to the site...that it can only be accessed by a link. I'm not even sure if that is possible. Does anyone have any ideas?

your pics are so flattering! You look so beautiful and sexy all at the same time! I love the theme. I was always kind of 50/50 on the pin-up idea but wow, now i really love them! Too bad I already did my BD pics...this would have been a really neat idea. Maybe you could do something like baseball cards with all of them?
