My wedding a Beaches Boscobel was absolutely fantastic!! I couldn't have dreamed for a more perfect day! We traveled to Beaches Boscobel with 20 family members, 8 of them our nieces & nephews (10 and under). Everyone had a great time! The resort was beautiful & the service was amazing! I am not sure why I worried about anything...the motto in Jamaica is "no worry man" and boy do they live by it! Our wedding coordinator was fabulous...she remembered all of the details and we did not have to worry about a thing! I even changed my flowers the day before and they turned out beautiful! If I had to do it all again I wouldn't change a thing! Wedding Ceremony - A+ - We had the wedding ceremony at the gazebo (Arizona's) on the sea...it was beautiful, we opted for the sand ceremony & presentation of floral to honor our mothers. My sister sang for the ceremony and they had a great sound system to use! Pictures - A+ - Our photographer at the resort did a fantastic job, I am so happy with our photos & we were so lucky to have a beautiful sunset in the background! I would recommend ordering photos on the cd...b/c then they can be downloaded & used however you wish...expensive but totally worth it...pictures/memories last a lifetime! Reception - A+ - We had the reception on the sky terrace which also overlooked the sea...they decorated with luminaries & set out the name tags & other favors/decorations I had brought along. We had a steel drum band play for 2-3 hours and it was so much fun...once everyone set foot on the dance floor they didn't leave! The food was amazing...we had appleton rum shrimp, caesar salad & jamaican jerk chicken...for dessert we had our wedding cake & the lovers pineapple baked alaska (definitely recommend as this was everyone's favorite)!!! We also had a separate appetizer table (to my surprise) that was set up before dinner was served which was really nice, especially for the kids! Following the reception we moved the party to the piano bar to continue the celebration! When we returned to our room we were surprised with champagne, chocolate covered treats & our bed decorated with tropical flowers! Beaches Boscobel may be the more expensive option...but well worth it...especially if you have family & friends of all ages attending! Hi all!!! Only 90 days until my wedding day!!! Wow, how time flies by!! I have my wedding dress, groom's attire and am finalizing plans for the reception in Jamaica!! We personalized maracas for favors at the wedding and my OOT bags are coming along! This is actually a link to my dress.... Thanks Jodi, I will check that out! I wasn't sure if it would be best to reserve the trips through Beaches or a separate company!! I am planning a dunns river falls trip for sure for all my guests! Hope your planning is going well...time is ticking=)

Hi all! I am also a January bride...wow, I can't believe how the time is flying by!!! Jodi, Are you booking the tour through Renee...or who are you booking the tour through?? I was wondering about reserving a shopping tour & dunns river falls trip ahead of time...have you seen any threads or posts talking about other good trips to take while in Ocho Rios...we were looking at the horseback riding and rafting trips but I was hoping to get more info & maybe some "testimonials" of those who have been there!! Hi Carly! You guys had a private reception at Beaches Boscobel following the ceremony, correct??...were you only able to pick one food entree or did they let you pick more than one...were the kids given another choice or were they also served the same?? Just wondering how much flexibility there was in the menu b/c we will be having 8 little ones there! Thanks for your help=) Steph
