i think i'll give them to everyone. i bought one for every person so nobody feels left out and i'm not sure the bartender would be able to keep track of who has one or not....aside from seeing if their drink is already glowing or not. lol i like the hot sauce bottles, cute and very original this is the start of my 5 day weekend so i'm planning to get lots and lots done today

i agree with you girls, bandeaus look terrible on everyone but are necessary. i'm halter bikiniing it for the first few days and self tannering the lines every night, then bandeauing it the 2 days before my wedding to hopefully even it out with actual tan kgeen, don't feel bad asking for help. as your MOH she's probably your best friend so she'll be there for you regardless of her situation. or maybe there's family you can ask to help? one month til we leave! finally it feels like i'm getting there - just ordered LED ice cubes since our reception is an outdoor poolside one. i think it'll be pretty for pictures and i'm surprised FI agreed. lol - also ordered my wedding wishing well card box for my AHR and ties for the men - found a pool beer pong set at Spencers so i didn't have to order it online, yessss! now if only i could get around to mailing the pile of AHR invites sitting on my dining room table i'd be that much happier

i've spent $5000 and counting on our honeymoon. that's flights, tour and accomodations. we're going to turkey and doing an 7 day tour around the country. then hanging out in istanbul for 3 days before flying to the beachy part of turkey and hanging out at a resort for relaxation and 'us' time for another 5 days. we wanted to make it to greece but that would have seriously upped the cost so we're doing only turkey i normally don't spend this much on travel and i've traveled a good amount(thailand, australia, bahamas, hawaii, mexico) but it's our honeymoon so i'm not as concerned about the cost. that and we're going to try to get pregnant as soon as we can so it'll be our last good big far trip before we're restricted with kids. i'm a huge fan of travel, seeing the world and experiencing other cultures is always worth the cost, esp doing it with your hunny celebrating your marriage.

i vote both, there's always time to drink thanks girls for the tips on saving the website i say get the ring resized. it shouldn't take that long to get done and wouldn't it be cheaper than ordering another one? i'd be worried about him losing it off his finger. DON'T let him wear it in the ocean. i've heard stories of people losing their engagement or wedding rings in the ocean cuz they don't want to take them off and you shrink in water so there goes the ring. and for your BM's dress...this is going to sound kind of selfish but she's in your wedding party, she's there to support you so i wouldn't overly stress yourself out making sure she loves the dress and wants to never take it off. you have more than enough to do and handle. get her padding so her boobs look bigger. i was a BM in a wedding last summer and i despised my dress, we're talking hated with every fiber of my being. i was a back up BM after someone else was having family issues and couldn't do the BM duties so i had zero say in the dress, it was already picked by the time i joined the wedding party. it was the worst color for me, it had boning that caused me pain (i had to duct tape cotton balls to the ends of the boning so it didn't hurt and the other BM who didn't do that had physical bruises), and i ended up paying $250 for the dress and alterations. BUT i was a good BM and knew my role and didn't want to stress out the bride so i wore the dress, didn't complain once, smiled pretty for pictures and burned it after the wedding. and i mean physically burned it...with lighter fluid and a blow torch. it was really fun, you guys should try it sometime. lol

anyone have any idea how to save your wedding website? mine is only good til august then it'll go bye bye. i put a lot of work into my website too and want to save it somehow. i don't think screen shots will work cuz you'd miss some of the screen due to having to scroll. is printing my only option?

this weekend is my bachelorette too then next weekend we're going to a wedding. and i know i'll be thinking 'i wish i could get married and get mine over with' while i'm at hers. lol. but i'm getting my sephora wedding makeover done that morning so i have pretty makeup for her wedding. now if only i could figure out how to do my hair for mexico since i don't trust the spanish only speaking salon.

i don't check the thread for a few days and i'm a few pages behind. lol yael i love your favors, so cute! my wedding schedule is: ceremony - noon pictures - til 3 pm probably break to do whatever....my guests will have a longer break since i'll be doing pictures dinner - 6 pm poolside dancing and drinking reception - 8-10:30 pm after that is where ever the party keeps on going...probably the hacienda i've been told by my flight attendant friend that calling the airline about your dress is pointless. it's up to the cabin and crew of your flight what they do with your dress. but they always find space for it somewhere where it won't get too crushed

after 3 sessions of making them with 4 people each time, they're finally done! didn't help we had to make 100 of them. and yes i had "professional" invite making, scrap booking people helping me the little RSVP tab when you pull it out i'm flipino so we have wedding sponsors/ godparents. this is on the back of the RSVP card my cute little mailing labels

i got blank travel mugs for my OOT bags and i'm putting my logo on with stickers, fully aware that the stickers may or may not last the week. but i was concerned that if the mug got wet the logo would smear or run so i did a water experiment. thought i'd share in case anyone else wants to go this route - sticker paper: from office depot - photogloss, inkjet, do it yourself stickers, 5 sheets $14. the whole sheet is stickers then you can cut out whatever shape you want. my 28 mugs took me 2 sheets of stickers - printer: xerox something or other, i used the one at work so it's a higher quality printer than your normal home printer here we go: sticker on the test mug wet sticker, i wet my hand then palmed the mug over the sticker. it wrinkled it but didn't run or smear i ran the bottom part under water for 20 seconds, then tried rubbing the ink. ink intact but the sticker was losing it's stickyness and really started to wrinkle while showing FI the stickers would be fine when wet, i said 'but it can peel off really easily' which i peeled it off at the top...and lost the ink that was there. oops sticker when dry. it's sticky again and not that easy to peel off the stickers serve my purpose for the week we're there. and if ppl want to use the mug after, they can peel the sticker off

i ordered blank cups and i'm putting our logo on with sticker paper. they could peel it off the cup if they really want. and i don't care if the logo gets lost or ruined throughout the week.

yup as far as i know which is why it's my ruins of choice well you girls have changed my mind. not doing the coba trip the day before the wedding and skipping the akumal beach/ bay part as well. pretty sure we collectivo to akumal if we wanted on some other day anyways. the cancunvista guy said it's only 15 mins from our resort this will be much easier for my group excursion. but now the tour guy is gone until april 1 so i won't get my quote until then. i've already told him i want just transportation and no tour guide at all. just over 5 weeks til i leave. woot! the waiting is almost over

i really have my heart set on going to coba as i've been to tulum before. and of course ppl don't have to do the akumal part if they don't want as we're going to be coming back to the resort for lunch (save some $$). still trying to work it out with cancunvista tours for just the transportation. Jananaz i'll let you know how it goes. i was really hoping to do the transportation with Sinal Tours but nobody seems to be responding to my emails and i can't even find any info on them on the internet anymore. but i have yet to try calling them with the number Morgan gave in her thread when she did a Coba/cenote tour for her group. i was under the impression we don't get to rehearse. and i'm not doing a rehearsal dinner either. i'm trying to keep it as simple as possible and have minimum group activities. wedding and group excursion, that's it. although simple never seems to happen. lol

happy birthday heidi! hope your day gets better. here's a bunny yup happened to me too. our friday may 8 flight from calgary is full but they just cancelled the sunday may 10 flight so my aunt has to find another package there. AND even worse, FI's parents did have a package flying out of halifax may 10 which got cancelled. so now they have to fly from moncton to toronto, stay overnight, fly to cancun and do the same thing coming back. plus it was an extra $1000 cuz of the toronto connection. totally sucks but nothing you can do. i feel bad their trip is so much more expensive than ours cuz there's no flight options. question: how terrible an idea is it to go to coba and akumal beach the day before the wedding? it's practically the only day we can go so everyone can go as our guest excursion. and i'd really rather everyone go before the wedding, not the day after. i know i'll be tired but is there anything i need to do the day before that i don't realize? i emailed jazmin to see if she needs me that day but still waiting for her reply.

i am exhausted from all the wedding errands we finished this weekend - getting my wedding band made. which means they have my engagement ring to make a wax model of the band. i feel so naked! - 60% done making our AHR invites, theres 100, so one more sitting and we should be done. yay! - bought our mexico wedding favors. i wanted photo albums but they are so big to pack for 17 of them. we went with picture frames instead - had my first dress fitting for my wedding and AHR dress. they look sooo much better now that they'll fit me properly. lol. my alterations were $250 to hem, bustle, take in at the top, move the back panel down so it shows my skin but doesn't go further than my undies, and fix some random darting issue - our friends are visiting from the california this weekend and bringing some of our oot bag stuff with them (so we didn't have to pay lots of shipping to canada) so we'll probably assemble them soon hopefully finish by this week *fingers crossed* -print out mailing labels for AHR -print out stickers for travel mugs for oot bags - print out welcome brochure and list of items in oot bag - print pics for our oot bag photo slots - figure out how i'm doing my hair for mexico since i have curlers now. hopefully it's not that hard to curl all my hair and randomly pin on top. lol - finish booking the rest of our turkey trip for our honeymoon i'm going to be a printing manic. good thing i'll just do it all at work for free. shhhh....

i didn't go to the wedding but my brother did. it was not only a potluck wedding but also BYOB. his friends refer to it as the trailer park wedding and i saw pictures of a wedding of someone my FI went to high school with. it was folding tables setup in someone's garage, you could see the garage doors in all the pics. the tables had plastic tablecloths which is fine except the head table also had the same plastic tablecloth that came maybe a foot down in the front. so they're sitting at the front of the room and you can see their legs under the table which i thought was just wrong and odd being the head table.

i'm stealing my FI and we're going to wander to a supposedly 'secret' beach near our resort where our guests can't find us. we'll write our vows and speech then. i finally emailed the possible transportation for our group excursion. no reply yet, or bounce back error and i can't find a single website on them now. i'm concerned they don't exist anymore. anyone know if sinal tours for the mayan riviera is still around? ayita, i think it's up to you how you want your wedding procession to be. normally i think the groom seats his parents then waits for you. then bridesmaids and groomsmen, together or separate. then maid of honour and best man. then you.

welcome back jen and congrats! your wedding was beautiful and i'm glad you got the beach. it's unfortunate that you had to fight to get what you want. and rude staff will always tarnish your stay. at least everything else went well. i loved your dress. so nice of evan to throw up a slideshow so quickly for you good to hear there's no complaints from joanna on the tulum side. and that jazmin was helpful, i find her responses to me pretty timely. but we'll see once i get closer and start emailing daily. lol

totally wearing mine again. but not for the whole time, just for an hour or 2. starting in my evening reception dress, then changing into my wedding dress, then back to the reception dress. i think my friends and family would be disappointed if they didn't see me in it. pictures in the slideshow won't do the dress justice. and who am i kidding, i want to wear it as much as possible
