  1. They basically copied the DT guide and added in some stuff. They talked about the wording about the dinner there also. They do mean if your group is more than 50 people then you have to get the buffet. Jacy never told me the charge for the second entree. At DT they would not do buffets for groups under 50, unless it was pretty close to that number. I think that shipping to Mexico is too much of a headache. I am not going to do that. It can be expensive and you dont know how customs is going to be. They could choose to confiscate your package.

If it were me, I would do two colors for chair bows...but I think alternating might look too busy. What about one color for the parents / immediate family (front row) and one color for other guests? You only really see the back row as far as photos go, so for that, I would do alternating or just one color. There was a Del Sol slideshow that did a wedding with red and orange. Red looks close enough to fushcia in photos. They used alternating color bows. I'll see if I can find it... Here it is... del Sol Photography Wedding Photojournalism Start at photo #30
  3. This thread gave me a guacamole craving. I had to stop by whole foods and pick some up on my way to work...
  4. I just sent emails to all my senators and reps requesting tickets... I bet its a no go. One site said they have been accepting requests for over a year . I read that you do not need tickets to the parade.
  5. Holy crap! I thought anyone could go... $600 is something I do NOT have! That's disappointing!
  6. I wasn't sure if I should believe my dad... I guess he wasn't making it up!
  7. My dad said hotels are already selling out! I was at his last rally and we were almost at the front. We waited there standing and unable to move or go anywhere for close to 6 hours. It was well worth the wait, but if I were to go to the inauguration, I would want to be front and center. I think the 6 hour wait in a huge crowd is about my limit. The inauguration will be absolutely insane, but you will probably catch me there anyways! I live about 45 mins from DC.

  9. I would print what you want on a regular sheet of paper and then line up your envelope to where it printed and tape it down with removable tape and then run it through again.

I completely agree. I think understanding the difference between legal rights and religious beliefs is where this all went wrong. Prop 8 was not asking churches to embrace and marry homosexual couples. It was about giving everyone the same rights.
  11. Tho I am glad to read this... "The Gazebo is our wedding location at the property, the time is subject to availability. All the packages include the basic set up with covered chairs for the guests and table for the judge or minister. The Gazebo decoration is include in our Ultimate Wedding Package. The back up in case of rain would be at the Ballroom, and the rain plan is decided 3 hours before ceremony depending on the weather" (p. 11). and.... "The hotel performs maximum 2 weddings per day and the times are subject to availability. All weddings should be in a different time and in separated locations" (p. 12).
  12. Thanks AlliMay... I just dl'ed it fine and I'm sure you will see your points going up! EWWW!!! How are they going to use a scripted font for ALL the text!!! What are they thinking! pet peeve of mine.
  13. Is it a lithium ion battery Sounds like its more important to not let the battery die completely... How to prolong lithium-based batteries A lithium-ion battery provides 300-500 discharge/charge cycles. The battery prefers a partial rather than a full discharge. Frequent full discharges should be avoided when possible. Instead, charge the battery more often or use a larger battery. There is no concern of memory when applying unscheduled charges.
  14. I think with certain types of batteries you are supposed to let them die before you recharge. Chris tells me that I shouldn't leave the battery plugged in because if there is a power surge or something it could fry the laptop. I don't think leaving it plugged in will harm anything. Battery life starts to die down around a year anyways, I don't think there is much you can do about that.
  15. My 3 year old son told us he wanted to watch the election with us... I know he has no idea what it is, but he got excited because we were watching it... I was telling him that we liked to see lots of blue, but he insisted that green should win...
  16. What's wrong with a child learning about same sex marriage? If children are treated like this is something that is too much for them to know about, then that is where the discrimination and judgment will start. Children should be taught that love is what makes families and marriages and that there are many different types of families out there. If kids are aware of the diversity out there, then there wont be so much conflict on this topic when they are adults. I think I'm just rambling... My rambling is not directed towards anyone here, but its just my thoughts regarding people that think that exposing kids to the concept of same sex marriages is an issue.

  18. I am all for Obama... I listened to McCain's and Palin's speeches and really tried to listen to what they stand for and there were many things I just could not agree with like their plans for health insurance and the environment. I voted for Obama and I hope that we see some good changes in this country if he is elected president. I cannot wait to see the war in Iraq end. I would love to see some type of universal health insurance start up and I am all about getting into renewable energy resources.

That is exactly how I feel!!! How the hell are we to tell someone else how to live their lives? I really feel like issues like same sex marriages, etc should never be an issue to begin with. Just because you/I believe something is wrong does not mean that it is wrong for everyone and that no one should be allowed to do it.
  20. I love them!!! The only thing I might think about changing is the font used for the "Dear Friends and Family" letter. I would make it the same as the other fonts.
  21. If I was a Cali resident I would def be voting NO ON PROP 8!!!
  22. I was in and out in 10 minutes. Chris went at 6am and waited in line for an hour. We only had one touch screen and there was a line so I did paper. BTW... The Obama rally last night was CRAZY!!! We had such a great time there!
