Great thread! There's a million things I love about hubs (obviously or I wouldn't have married the man!) Craig's ability to bring me back down to Earth -- I'm a bit of a spaz. He's got these really great GREEN eyes. First thing I noticed about him. He makes me laugh so hard, sometimes I think I might pee my pants. Hhaha. He comes to every sporting event I'm involved in. I love it. He comes to all my hockey games and tournaments, karate/fighting tournaments I'm in and we play co-ed lob ball and golf together. He pretty much rules IMO!

I had my shower a month after my wedding. Things were just too busy prior and we couldn't nail down a date that worked.

We didnt have a private event either. There were only 11 of us, so there wasnt much point. Our dinner was in one of the resorts restaurants out by the pool. We actually shared it with another wedding party, but they were far enough away we didnt notice them at all.

Your Mom sounds like a child that isn't getting her way and has decided to have a temper tantrum.... I'd tell her to shove her "ultimatums" up her ass too. I've never heard of something so utterly ridiculous. Just because she's your mother doesn't mean you have to accept any of her bullshit. I'm sorry, but no one would treat me or speak to me like that -- unacceptable. period. Especially my own mother. Just in case she does end up going, do you have any guests or other family that you trust to keep her subdued? Sorry you have to deal with such bullshit at a time that should be happy. Who's the child and who's the parent here? Hope things get resolved

We used "sand between the toes elegant" ... not sure what that means, but hey no one showed up in a Speedo, so I figured people got the point.

She's already married. You've done all the leg work. Why should you have to share your first marriage with someone's renewal. No way would I share my week with anyone, especially someone who's already had their "big day" -- that's being selfish.
