  1. OMG I almost pee'd myself when I saw your pics Calia - those are killer! Best costume. Okay, so Im Canadian and I can't even be bothered to vote in my own country (yes I know Im a terrible person - lol) but I'd vote Obama for sure. You guys need someone to take some steps in the right direction for health care - sorry but your system pretty much blows - Canada's is far from perfect, but at least I dont have to re-mortgage my house just to visit my ER. Good luck tonight!

Im tired of hearing people complain about the price of DW's - either go or dont. Fairly simple concept. I heard the same thing from pretty much everyone we invited - hence the reason there's only 11 of us going.
  3. I hope none of our guests bring gifts/cards... Im pretty sure Ive made it clear that their presence in JA is all we need.
  4. I eat Allmax-Isoflex (27g protein) in various flavours - usually blend it with a banana and soymilk. The other one I always drink is InterACTIVE Nutrition IsoWhey Breezer (20g protein). The Breezer I only mix with water. Decent tasting protein powders are usually more expensive - I have a hard time finding one's I like that dont make me sick to my stomach. Most good sports supplement stores will let you taste before you buy. Good luck!
  5. Yay! Name: Kayte and Craig Location: RIU Palace Tropical Bay - Negril Wedding: April 9, 2009 In JA: April 6 - April 20! Cant wait for the drinking and the beach! ...Oh yeah, and the wedding too!
  6. Congrats and good luck with it all from yet another Negril bride-to-be!
  7. The whole reason we decided to get married in Jamaica was so we didnt have to bother with blood tests/chest xrays (no one has been able to tell me the exact reasoning for either) and we dont have to bother with translation of docs. Yay for Jamaica!
  8. I'd ideally like to lose another 20lbs before the wedding, but we'll see what happens. I've already lost 20lbs since June, but my bane is spaghetti and 12-hour shift work... I've always been a bit of a gym rat and play hockey regularly, but I've added some kickboxing to the mix lately. I think the 5-10lb mark for Christmas is a good start. Cheers to April weddings!
  9. Congrats and have a great time! I love your wedding dress - probably because I have the same one!
  10. Great job! Love the BM stuff and the DIY sandals - I really should get off my lazy arse and try some DIY. Have an awesome day/week! Your wedding day is my little sister's 28th Bday! Congrats!
  11. I think the birdcage veil is a pretty hot look. On any given day Im down with black and/or thinking outside the box - the first picture I looked at though the first thing that came to mind was hairnet... but the one's with feathers looked pretty cool and less like cafeteria lunch lady. I say rock it out.

What the hell are people gonna do in DR until 2340 at night? Wow... yeah I cant complain about my flight times now I guess! Chicklet: party indeed! Ill probably be hungover by the time we land in Jamaica.

Yikess....that is an early start to the day!!! What's with the 0600 departure?! Ours is the same in April. They best be serving booze on the plane that early, Im gonna need it. I guess the good thing about flying out that early is that we'll be lying on the beach with cold drink in hand by noon!
  14. I'll probably piss a lot of people off when I say this, but ... BRING ON THE SNOW!! FI and I love love love the snow and winter. If we could we'd move further north, but for right now we're stuck in the "Banana Belt" of Canada - SouthWestern Ontario.
  15. We're getting married at and honeymooning in the same place. Staying for 2 weeks though. First week is wedding week and going to be too busy to really relax. 2nd week - everyone leaves and we get to enjoy Jamaica all by ourselves!
  16. Trailer trash or not... WTF's up with that dress? HAHAHAHAHA. Oh... it takes all kinds to make the world go 'round I guess. Although some people should maybe be sterilized....
  17. Everyone has had the same problem, and Im pretty sure its not exclusive to DW's either. Although probably more pronounced! I've realized that when it all comes down to it - no one really gives a shit about your wedding. We're all so self-involved! Like Ive said in previous posts - We've given up worrying about who's making it to the wedding. FI and I are gonna be drinking beers on the beach in Jamaica for 2 weeks, happy that we decided to get married away from freezing cold Canada!
  18. None of our friends are coming to our wedding either - upsetting at first, but now neither of us care. It's our wedding not anyone else's so now we could care less who's there. We're spending 2 weeks drinking on the beach in Jamaica while all our friends and family who aren't coming, deal with the shitty Canadian weather the beginning of April.
  19. Im a bit slow, but I thought the whole point of TTD was to actually TTD. Im trashing mine!
  20. My FIL's are just happy to be going to Jamaica and not having to deal with an AHWedding/Reception. I dont really include my own mother in the wedding planning. Hehe - she's not type that wants to be in on everything I buy or decide on. I email her pictures of stuff. FMIL and FI's cousins are planning my shower - limobus to Niagara-on-the-lake to do wine tours/lunch/get pissed.
