I just retuned via Sky Service and they are pretty strict on the weight. Going we were over weight but because we went out to the counter as a group she let my hubby and i go because everyone else was under. We were over because we were going for 2 weeks and they do not give you any exceptions for that which is completely unfair. On the way home we were charged $20 US which makes it even worse for every kg we were over...ended up costing us over $200.00 bucks!!! Apparently this new weight rule came into affect in Sept 2008 and they seem to have no problem enforcing it. Also be careful because on the way there they weighed our carry on as well!!! I've never had that happen before....on the way back they did not so it seems to be a hit and miss. I'm going to try to see if i can get some reimbursements back after talking to my travel agent...we'll see how that goes.

I have just returned from 2 weeks in Jamaica....the first week we stayed at the Grand Lido and that is where we had our wedding and everyting was EXCELLENT!!! I can't say enough about this resort. The wedding co-ordinator Carlene was superb!!! Such a sweet heart!! We opted to use the Gazebo for our ceremony.....it was very private and exactly what we wanted. The entire staff at the Grand Lido were terrific!!! Not a bad word to say about any of them. They even upgraded my family's rooms so they could all be close to us. The resort is definately worth the money.....the nude beach is no where near the regular beach in case anyone was worried about that. In short...we had a fantastic wedding and i would recommend them in a heart beat!!

We are getting married at the Grand Lido Negril, staying for a week with family and friends then when they leave we move down the street to Couples Swept Away for our Honeymoon...2 whole weeks of sun and sand!! Going to be fantastic and a nice break from the February snow!!!

Are the any brides from Canada that have ordered from a US website? I found a dress that i Love on the Bridal Online Store but am a little leary about ordering it...any helpful hints would be appreciated!! Thanks

I actually watched this...must have been a preview show or we had it here in Canada first which would be weird....lol It was very good though....i laughed my butt off....the guests have no idea....you should definately tune in when it comes on.

I'm already booked into the Grand Lido Negril and have heard wonderful things about it. Seems every person i've talked to about it have said it's amazing. I'm getting married in Feb 09 so if you're date is after that i'll give you a review...lol

We were together for 6 months when he proposed on our 6 month anniversary, sold my house and moved in with him after 9 months, sold his house and bout OUR house 1 yr and 4 months and get married just before our 2 year anniversary.....we knew we'd be together forever after the first date.
