Hi! I am getting married in Punta Cana in Oct. We are getting married here first at city hall and then having the "symbollic ceremony" preformed down there. Does anyone know if I have to bring papers with me, and if so, which ones? also, do i need anything translated, like my marriage license? any info would be great! thanks!!!

This may be a silly question, but if you do the DJ, will he announce our first dance...and the dance with my father? B/C if he/she won't, then maybe I should go with the IPOD as well.

I was confused by the cost per person for the bar as well. Most of our guests are arriving on thursday (wedding is sat) so we wanted to have everyone meet at a common bar thurs nite for a kinda "meet and greet". When I asked Viviana about maybe sectioning off a part of one of the bars for us, she was like, "No problem. $16 per person per hour." I was like, "What" It's an ALL-INCLUSIVE resort! That's insane. So we decided to just let everyone know where to meet, but not to have it formally sectioned off or whatever. The ONLY thing we could think of is maybe they charge b/c your guests may not necessarily be staying there??

Hi! I am getting married at the Paradisus Punta Cana in the DR in Oct. I was wondering if anyone had any experience (there or elsewhere) with the DJ's? I was just wondering if we get to send a list of songs ahead of time (e.g., for our first dance, daddy-daughter dance, etc.), if he/she will announce each of the traditional dances, etc. Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!

I am getting married there in October. Viviana has been amazing...never taking more than a day to get back to me. Now, with the new WC (Miguelina), I get no replies. You are completely right, everything seems unorganized and when I FINALLY got her on the phone, she seemed....annoyed? that I had even called. We already have 31 people with their rooms booked...not like I can change it now. I'm sure everything will be great...she's probably very overwhelmed right now. I am anxious to hear all about your wedding in July...have you ever been there before? Molly
