If we make this change it will not affect anything other than canceling somethings. Everyone is flying into cancun anyways. Transfers are free through Excellence. They were going to have to pay 50 per person at ASP. And the extra money we plan on working a lot of overtime so nobody has to pay any extra money.

My fiance and I are planning on getting married at Aventura Spa Palace on Feb 6th 2009. Thats less than two months away!!! Last night we were looking around online and came across Excellence Riviera Cancun. We fell in love with it. We loved the hotel itself, the location, and the wedding set up on the beach is exactly what we pictured when we started planning a destination wedding. We would even recieve $800 off the wedding package for booking 7 days with them. Do you think it is rude of us to change our hotel so close to the date? Our guest will not need to change flights and they can all get thier money back from the old hotel. We even have two more weeks that we can cancle our wedding package without losing any money. We are going to try to cover as much of the difference as possible for our guests. Our guests were paying about $211 a night at Aventura. This includes a group discount for 10 or more rooms and a nightly promotional discount. We are not sure if Excellence will give us a group discount yet becuase they have not contacted us back yet. After we priced a week stay it came out to be only about $30 more per person per night. Excellence is already running a promotion for 20% so we arent sure if they will give us an additional discount for having 10 plus rooms. This would make the price closer to the original for our guests and maybe low enough we could cover the difference for them. So it will break down like this. Excellence $3685 for a week for two people( with no group discount) Aventura $2954 for a week for two people Do you think that even with this 20% discount the hotel will give us a group discount? We probably cant pay for it if they cant bring the price down a little more. We really have our hearts set on this hotel now.

do you think I could iron onto a 6 pack cooler. I have been trying to find them online and I cant find them without having to buy like 100. So I thought about making my own. I dont know if an iron on would work on that type of material though.

Would anyone want to split an order of custom coolers. I was looking into getting 6 pack coolers made up that just said mexico 09 with like a palm tree. I only need 23 and the minimum I can get is 50. If anyone is interested please let me know. We can pick any color and even change what it says to fit both our needs. I thought these would be nice for people to take on excursion, golfing, or even just sitting at the pool.

Does anyone know where I can get custom coolers for my OOT bags. I only have 23 people to buy for and I cant find a site that has less than a minimum of 50. If anyone can help that would be great. People are so good at finding things on here. The small size for like a 6 pack would be perfect.

I called and talked to the resort. They said we would only have to pay the $80 guest pass for each photographer. So that wouldnt be bad at all.

We are doing the private reception but we choose to do that because most of our group would be dancing. We are having the cocktail hour before the reception. We are also having a welcome dinner two nights before the wedding itself. We are just using our reservation for that dinner. Your wedding is going to be beautiful. I cant wait to hear all about it when you get back!!!!

I was wondering if any one has gone to Blue Parrots Playasia restaurant or the Blu Parrot beach club? I was looking to use this for my rehearsal dinner but im having trouble finding reviews. It is located in Playa del Carmen. Rachel Ray has actually featured the restaurant on her show Tasty Travels and the beach club is world known. Hey Erin, If you need any information about the resort let me know. I have been talking to the WC like twice a week since the summer. I know that you can go from palace resort to palace resort and if you ask for a room to "freshen up" they will give you one. So im sure they would let you have one for the day. Its getting close you must be so excited!!!

They would say Riviera Maya 2009. The koozies would be blue probably with orange writing. There would also be a picture of a palm tree with a sun behind it. Maybe we could find someone else too to split it with us. I really dont need 50. I only have 20 guests coming. They come out to be $1.80 each if we get 100.
