Hey ladies - so I've been searching around online for a good deal on a personalized tank top and beach bag for my MOH. I'm tempted to use Etsy, but I was wondering if you guys found some stellar deals online that I haven't stumbled across yet. I also want to find a cute flower girl t-shirt that I can have personalized as well ... Thanks in advance ladies!!

Wow! Congrats!!!!! That's awesome that you two are back together again. I lover hearing stories like that. We'll be with 17 other people ... not just us ... but I think there are a few brides on here who have at least gone with only 2-4 other people. Do you have any idea where you'll hold the ceremony yet? Happy planning!!!

I think that's a super-cute idea for a bridesmaid dress. They don't have to "fancy" material to look nice. And the color choices are great!

I've been dying to post on this thread since my FI got down on one knee last June!! :-p I'm not a very good photographer though ... so bear with me. I just did this not 5 minutes ago ... I absolutely LOVE my ring, and what makes it even more special is the fact that a very close friend of mine (someone both my FI and I graduated high school with) actually MADE this ring for me ... she's a jeweler and she's also making my wedding band which I will be posting pics of when I in the next few weeks! With FI's ring! Sorry this one's a bit blurry:

That's exactly the type of ring my FI got as well (and he's a car-lover as well ... too funny) ... it's actually a gorgeous ring and I love the look. And I think I love the fact that it's indestructible even more! It means he'll ALWAYS have that same ring and even if he does construction or rough stuff, he won't scratch it or ruin it because it's scratch-resistant and all that. I think if that's the ring he wants, then that's the ring he should get. Why would you want to force him into wearing a ring he didn't love for the rest of his life? You got what you wanted for your e-ring ... imagine he'd freaked out when you said what type of ring YOU wanted?? This is my FI's actual ring (sorry I JUST took these and this was the best setup I could think of)... He had it sandblasted so the outside isn't as shiny as the inside. And it's a rounded, comfort-fit model.

Wow those are incredible!! And I love how your dress looks in all of them ... and it's good to see a lace dress hold up to the sand/sea ... you have almost the same dress as I do!!! Absolutely gorgeous though ... and you both look so happy. Congrats!!

The vows that you read for the exchange of rings - you guys wrote that on your own? And you were able to give the notary specific things to read (like the poem?). And was the closing remark something you also gave to be read or was it already part of the legal ceremony? Thanks SO much for posting this!!

I'm having mine especially "designed" for me ... the turquoise one is the beginning product ... The woman who is making them for me has all her other shoes here: Etsy :: Crafttastrophe :: Handpainted Shoes I sent her pics of my dress so she knows the design etc. and she's even going to put the date of the wedding day somewhere on the shoe. I just love that I'm going to have a completely original pair of shoes for my big day! And I am in LOVE with the heel. Oh, and if anyone likes the idea AND the green shoes ... they're a size 7 and they're up for some unique, original decorating! I'll be sure to post pics as soon as I get my specially designed shoes in my hot little eager hands!! (Or when she puts up the listing on Etsy for me to order) LOL

I'm just getting into my AHR planning now ... we are going to have a semi-formal cocktail at my parent's home in Alexandria, Ontario in August. They have a great big backyard and their horses and 3 donkeys come up to the fence that meets the backyard so that'll be cool for the guests. Plus, they have a great pool which will be awesome for the children who are coming. We're sending out formal invites just before we head down to Cuba and asking for a response by end of June so we have solid numbers to do final preparations all through July as August 1st is our AHR date as of now. We're looking at approx. 100 people ... and as I said it will just be a cocktail with servers doing all the heavy lifting for the food and an open bar with a friend of the family tending for a select few drinks (it will be stated on the invitation that we'll be offering red wine, white wine and a special Cuban cocktail). We'll also have a picture slide show running with images from our wedding and a guest book to sign as well as mini individual cakes (not cupcakes!) for each guest instead of a big wedding cake we have to cut. So far ... those are the plans!! I'll let you ladies know how things are REALLY going to pan out closer to the date. LOL

I've found the BEST deals on Ebay (approx. $1 CDN per pashmina) ... but I guess it's all about finding a trusted seller. I'll let you know how my find turns out ... *fingers crossed*

I'm so sorry to hear about the job loss - but I hope the interview at the Hilton went well! You know you had every girl form BDW crossing all body parts for you!! :) Just wondering if those Spanish for Dummies books are still available? If they are ... I'm interested!!!

I found a great local seamstress who is removing the lining from the train of my dress so it's just lace and taking up the hemline of the lining as well in the front so that more lace shows on it's own, taking in the bust (because I, apparently, have no boobs) and adding a small loop and button to gather the lace train up in the back for the evening. She's doing it all for $130 ... and I only have to pay 1/2 up front in case I'm not pleased with her work in a month's time when I check in!
