Slide down easier? Now that's funny. I think most people get hung up on peanut butter being a "sweet" and mayo being a "savory" ... but really, those two go together well... look at Thai Cuisine for example... I make a Chicken Red Pepper Peanut Soup... and it is delicious.

There, see... now I made you feel better!! When I was in high school I went on a mission trip to Ensenada, Mexico and the staff guys there would make these giant sandwhiches... One side would have peanut butter and jelly... the other ham/cheese/mayo... then they would SMOOSH the two together. I tried a bite of it once... there was WAY WAY too much going on in that one. Tell your DH that you aren't weird at all...

Oh, now that is funny... I get weirder than mayo and PB... I see your mayo and PB and raise you pickles. My dad cringes at the thought of it... but I think it is so good!

I got that link from girl who DIYed them (Road to the Aisle: DIY Invitations - A Cost Analysis)... she pretty much said that unless you have the time and patience to do them yourself, that Cards and Pockets is the way to go. If you do want to get ambitious and try and make your own... she put some great instructions here: Road to the Aisle: pocketfolds

Oh Nic... its because I work at a desk all day with creative people managing the mundane processes... I secretly want to be a photographer but would be HORRIBLE at it. So the opportunity to look at photography as art and as an investment and chat with someone who loves it... heck yeah - why wouldn't I take it.

Oh wow... That was great. Thanks for the laugh!

She is offering the EBS (extreme bridal session) with all her packages too -- I am SO SO SO excited to see her portfolio develop. She really is a hometown girl -- she is from the little town I grew up in (I guess it isn't little anymore, once wal mart hits you, its all down hill from there!)... We plan on doing an engagement session with her in about a year (our wedding is way far off) so that should give us time to get together and work with her.... we also want to get some great "studio" shots of us doing some ballroom dancing poses -- but that's for later. I have to say plan because we haven't interviewed her yet ... but I certainly don't think I'm going to have any issues at all -- her work and personality shines and she is super prompt in returning emails. Couldn't ask for anything more.

LIMO from the airport?

I love those little disposable tooth brushes!! I had braces as an adult and my ortho used those... They work perfectly and are great to have a few handy... -

Hey morgan... here's the blog to stalk: Kaylee Eylander Photography Hee hee... I was going to use her up here (in Seattle pre-DW days) and she was so quick to respond to me and so willing to chat about doing a DW... so far, I have nothing but good things to say about her. Now...just need to get the date actually booked at the resort... then officially book Kaylee and we are good to go!

Has anyone looked on you tube for weddings at Moon Palace? I found a couple of good actual videos (not just picture slideshows)... For some reason I feel funny posting a link to someone else's wedding video... but the one I looked at, the bride's name was Sandra... and she was beautiful and the whole ceremony was beautiful!! They got married in the Tucan gazebo.

Yeah... We are spending about what we would spend for an above average photog here in Seattle after all is said and done with flying them down. These two elements are super important to me... which is why I wanted time to interview them before throwing them in... I actually plan on doing a site visit sometime next year and am trying to find the budget to bring my photo with me for the site visit so we can scout ahead of time and spend time getting to know each other more. I think I'm nuts.

So I've been reading a lot of threads about photogs and videographers (do we call them videogogs for short?) -- and it seems that there are a lot of options... Which did you pick and why? 1. Use the resort's in-house resources 2. A specialty vendor (either a local to your destination or one that specailized in destination weddings) for the day-of and pay for a day pass/package. 3. Fly in a photog/videogog from your hometown -- pay for travel/room/ect 4. Fly in a photog/videogog from your hometown -- pay for travel/room/ect AND a package rate (either full package rate or a discounted package). 5. Anything else? (ie: I hate photos, why would I want to capture this day? or... My friends/family are taking enough - I'm relying on my guests... ect). My FI and I are likely doing option 3 -- I found a photog that tentatively agreed to do it -- she does great pictures here in Seattle -- but not sure how she will fare in the sun. Hee hee... and I'm currently interviewing videogogs to see if we can get the same or similar offer out of them. Is this normal? We were hoping to deal with someone from our home town so we can establish a longer term relationship with them -- for baby pics, ect... AND it will help us meet our goal of 25 rooms booked. The resort said it was fine so long as they weren't liscenced in Mexico and stayed at the resort. That's our current thoughts, but we seem to be very impressionable...anyone see any flaws with that?

Oh man... that's great. Thanks for that!
