  1. Has anyone had these banners customized?? And if so, I would love pricing info. Thanks! Mona
  2. I'm having a dilemma.... I bought my wedding dress in Texas and I had originally thought that I would do my alterations down there, but now I'm not sure if I should have them done up here?? I'm thinking it would be cheaper to do them in Texas, but would the price difference really be that much different considering I'd have to fly down on multiple occassions??
  3. My FI and I had talked about what I wanted (round stone with diamonds on the band). In the end he ended up designing this with his family jeweler in Boca. It turned out even more beautiful then I could have ever imagined! Sorry the pics are so big... this is my first time uploading photos into the text.
  4. I would go with "c". They are a lot like the Kenneth Cole one's but they already have the bling : ) so you wouldn't have to add any extra.

  8. Hey Fellow October 24, 2009 Brides! Happy -1 year wedding anniversary! Happy Planning! Mona
  9. Hey CACHET, I would go ahead and keep your appt and just try on as many dresses as you can. You can always figure out what kind of styles you like and then order the dress a few months later. And if you find one you really like... get the measurements for a size smaller as motivation. I ended up finding my dress (and ordering it) when I was in Texas for my high school reunion in July. I had a few appts in Austin and then anytime we drove by a bridal store we would pop in to see what they had. I of course found a dress I loved in all of the stores ; ) But at the end it came down to two very similar styles with very different price tags. I ordered the less expensive one because I knew I could get it altered to look more like the more expensive one. And it was also hard to justify spending $1,750 more on the more expensive dress when they were so similar. Sorry this was so long... MK
  10. Hi! We were originally going to take our engagement pictures in Mexico, but ultimately decided to take them here in New York. We thought that it would be nice to have some pictures in the city where we met and are going to start our lives together in. It also ended up being much cheaper doing them in NYC then using our wedding photographer in Mexico. MK
  11. Katy, Thank you so much for the nice comments. Your pics are beautiful as well... I was thoroughly impressed with your photobook ; ) Mona
  12. Thanks You! Yeah, NYC is a great place for pics. We were torn on whether or not to do them in Mexico or NYC and NYC won ; )
  13. Has everyone already sent out their Save the Dates?? I had originally wanted to have them out sent out by now, but it's looking like it's probably going to be more like end of November early December (with design & printing turn around). Do you guys think that is too late?? PS...I love your dresses, Rachael and Heather!!
  14. I love the colors and how the theme is cohesive throughout the all the inserts! Great Job, MK

  17. HI Brides, I posted a some of our engagement pics on my blog (I'm not sure how to post pics on this site) from our engagement picture shoot last weekend. Our photographer was Agaton Strom (thanks for the recommendation, Katy); he was great. We were really nervous about the whole thing, but his demeanor put us at ease right away. Enjoy! 18. Hey October Brides! I was in Playa del Carmen at the beginning of October and it rained 2 out of the 5 days we were there. One of the two days it pretty much rained the whole day, but it cleared up around 5 (just in time for a wedding; ). Talking to my planner she said that it usually only rains off and on in October. I hope this helps! Mona PS... Heather, I'm impressed by how much you have done!

  20. My fiance and I had dinner there last week and the food & the service were phenomenal. I would be a perfect location for a reception or a rehearsal dinner. MK
