Booked our location: EcoTulum Purchased wedding dress and have it in hands this past Saturday Booked Deep Sea Fishing Excursion for the men Still searching for gifts for the girls Booked all flights and hotel Mail out "formal" invitiations this weekend (even though we have a lot of people already booked) Chose mens attire In the process of choosing menu!

First, BREATHE!!!!! I remember feeling just like you, and I think we've all been there. Just start by prioritizing. I found that the on-line sites that have a wedding planner i.e., marthastewart.com; brides.com; and theknot.com were only making me more overwhelmed, as they have lists that really don't pertain to a destination wedding. So make your own list...in excel, or a simple piece of paper. Another great resource: Destination Wedding and Honeymoon Planning So first your date; set your budget; notify friends and family; and so forth. Also this forum is a load of help. I sent my save the dates via on-line through my wedding website; I then sent out an email outlinging all information with the travel agent infor; I am sending my formal invitations out this weekend (wedding is 6.13.09), I purchased my dress this past Saturday, and just paid my photographer deposit. Congratulations and remember this is the time to cherish!

OK, ladies here it is...my wedding dress is finally purchased!!!!! I went to a great boutique this past Saturday, and they gave me an unbelievable deal on the dress, so I purchased it on the spot and walked away with it - I'm in love. Hello girls. My fiance and I are having our Mayan Ceremony at EcoTulum, however we are staying at another resort in Tulum. Are there any other EcoTulum brides? I'm looking for anyone that has been there or has had any experience with the resort. So far, they have been very accomodating and excellent to work with. Very excited!!!!!!

I'm happy to announced that we FINALLY confirmed our ceremony site - EcoTulum!!!!!! After month's of being undecisive we have the site booked, and I am so relieved! Our wedding is June 13, 2009, and as you can imagine I am scrambling to get things in order. I still haven't purchased or tried on a wedding dress. Anyway, I wanted to share the wonderful news with everyone. Our ceremony will be at sunset and we will do the Mayan Cosmic Ceremony. Has anyone else on this site had any experience with EcoTulum or been married there, getting married there, or know someone who has? The WC has been VERY respsonsive and VERY professional.

Congratulations and welcome to the forum. We're slightly in the same boat as you are - with the idea of just the two of us. There are so many choices, especially at the resorts. Many have a free package and even though it may contain extras that you don't need all you have to do is inform them and they take away what you don't want and it's much cheaper. I know a lot of people that do this and it worked out well for them. There is also the option of doing a Mayan Symbolic wedding on a private beach. Welcome! You can "Google" wedding ticker or wedding countdown to find the ticker you like. You will receive a "code" and you will have to go to your User Control Panel here in the Forum also called, "CP". Go to "Edit Your Signature" and place the code, and "Save". I hope this helps!

This is very helpful. I'm having a dilema and my wedding is 4-month's away!!!! I am having to choose between Valentin and Excellence. They are both great resorts, but if I have the wedding at Excellence on 6.13.09 then our only time option for the wedding is 11AM. So I am now looking to try and have the ceremony at a private beach location, or try for the Valentin. Any suggesstions? Is anyone else having an early day wedding?
