  1. We're using Papermojo.com they have great woven fiber papers. A bit expensive, but I got a sample and they're beautiful.
  2. I plan on making out STD's and Invites at home. Currently, I have a craptastic Dell printer I haven't used in 2 years. We need a new one, but I can't decide which one. I want one that will print on metallic paper and card stock, but not more than $200. I'd really like to stay away from a laser jet just because the toner refills are insanely priced. Any recommendations?
  3. We're getting married at ERC. So far everything has been wonderful. They don't charge you for everything. The packages include a lot for the price. We're able to bring in our own photographer, decorations, chair sashes, flowers and such. That alone is saving us a lot of money. Almost every review I've read about ERC has been awesome- the food, staff, accommodations...everything is amazing.
  4. We were going to book Claudia for our TTD session, and wedding. But then we decided to bring a photographer down with us, she turned out to be the same price, and is willing to shoot over 4 days with us. I think once you see some TTD shoots on her with Sol or other photographers some others might not compare. If you have a great photographer and aren't afraid to Trash your dress, you should have great pictures.
  5. Here's an option--If you're having a wedding somewhere that has a WalMart nearby buy a dozen roses for like $10 and rip the petals off.
  6. It's good to hear we can choose two plates. Picking one for everyone seemed a bit pushy to me. I at least wanted to give some choices.
  7. Is that made by Stardream? I have Lagoon in Stardream, to me it seems more greenish. Quote: Originally Posted by anacgarcia This is the closer you can find in metallic, it's the one called aqua lagoon
  8. I have been searching high and low for bright blue/aqua pocketfolds that are metallic. Everything I find is more green, or Tiffany blue. Our colors are Turquoise, aqua and hot pink. But I want my invites to be the blues with a hunt of tan, and it's so hard to find them! Has anyone found pocketfold in this color. I've tried Tiffany Blue, Stardream Lagoon, Caspian...I'm beginning to think there isn't a color out there for me!

  10. That's true. We're only having a small reception with about 20-25 people so we really don't need to worry about it. Maybe since your reception is larger they will plan a menu? Best way to find out is to ask the WC.
  11. Well, our ceremony would be about 15 minutes long. So I was thinking we could use them for that and have them play for the cocktail hour as well, just shorten it a little bit.
  12. Depending if you go with the Gold or Silver menu's, you choose one of the options. I think the menu is okay, we might ask for some changes since someone is picky with their eating, lol.
  13. We originally budgeted about $2000 for photography for Claudia Rodriguez. But then we decided we wanted to bring our photographer from home and we're looking at over $4,000 now! It might be a lot, but we love her and her pictures. And photography is very important to me, so I think it's money well spent. So, go with your heart. If you want amazing pictures- splurge.
  14. I haven't recieved anything from Veronica in over two weeks since I last emailed her. At least the last WC was quick with responding. I asked if there was anything she could mail to me so I have something in print, and she never responded to that just sent me a printable brochure. We're also doing the symbolic ceremony. Too many steps for the legal in my opinion and if we ever needed a copy of our mariage license it would have to be done through Mexico. Too much hassle if that ever happens if you ask me. Plus the whole blood test- pay in cash to the doctor just strikes me as shady.
  15. With our wedding package we have the option of an hour for a caribbean trio or mariachi band. I'm thinking about using the one I choose to play for the ceremony because I cannot find anything I want to walk down the aisle to. The only problem is...which one? What is really difference between music? Of course, I'd like something nice and soft for my walk down the aisle but I keep seeing a mariachi band as an up in your face kinda music you see in movies, lol. Any help from someone who has done this before?
  16. Thanks for posting the info. I was never given the Cocktail Hour menu. How do you feel about the menu's?
  17. It's a great price. I don't want to be a downer...but sometimes with cheap cameras you're getting nothing, if the film isn't great chances are the pictures won't won't print properly. Which kind of makes it a waste if you ask me.
  18. I'm pretty sure there is a beach site, it's not a full gazebo thing like the Excellence, but it can be decorated. I would say email the WC there and ask for pictures. The one from ERC sent us so many ceremony pictures in different areas. I'm sure they have some from that resort as well.
  19. I was at K-Mart last week, all they had were Enchanted ones. I've been stalking the website and of course they're sold out now.
  20. It's a tradition in our family to have a DD, and I always thought they were fun. So do guests. I get so sick of people saying how trashy and tacky it is. It's about havinf fun. People need to loosen up! I doubt we'll have on at our DW since people are already spending a lot of money to come.

Personally, I think it's a long trip just to go to a ceremony! A majority of our guests will be staying at our resort. I know my sister had good intentions because she knew my other sister wouldn't be able to afford the trip and was saving her the cost of the hotel, they just have to pay for their flights. I mean if they're saving that much $150 a couple shouldn't matter all that much. We're paying for our parents- all of cour friends and photographer are staying with us, so we won't be seperated all that much.I really wanted my sisters at the resort just because I wanted them as my bridesmaids, and they would involve them being there a lot. And that's way too much in day pass fees.
