  1. great job! Would you be willing to share what you put on your Pres-RSVP cards? I'm trying to figure out how to word ours.
  2. I am so ecstatic to see this! The Excellence Riviera was my first and only choice for our werdding. I'm so happy someone was able to do something like this. Thank you!
  3. Gorgeous pictures! I love you dress, who is the designer? And the color of your BM dresses are exactly what I want for my wedding!
  4. Has anyone thought about having the ceremony on the pier at all? Or the reception?
  5. Are they all gone? If not I'll take some.
  6. The basic package is free with a 7 night min. stay. If you choose another package, you can deduct the the charge for the basic which is around $800 and the Gold comes out to around $1500 or something instead of full price. Does this also apply to the Gold package? That what it sounds like from what you girls are saying but I don't see it anywhere on the website.
  7. Everyone keep in m,ind when choosing a higher package, if you stay 7 nights in the Excellence Package- you do get $800 off the package price for your wedding. 8. I haven't heard anything about a down payment, we're going through a TA. As for the photographer- outside photographers are allowed. If they aren't staying at the hotel you need to purchase them a day pass. The reception is private it's held in a room off the lobby I believe. There a shot of it. I believe they said you can have it on the beach, but you would be charged for setup and rentals. As such - just a couple of quick questions - do you ladies know what the deposit is to reserve a room (if they don't require a deposit for the wedding, just your confirmation #, I'm assuming there is a deposit or full payment)? Do they allow outside photogs? What is the reception like for the Gold Package? Beach? Private? Semi-Private? Thanks!!
  9. It would be nice, wouldn't it? But of course, they don't. If I remember correctly, it's about $40 a person for any over 20. 10. I plan on making about 12-15 bags, I have a budget of $150 for all. I'm not really keeping track though, if I find things I like on sale, I'll get them.
  11. Ooh, great find. I think I might order some of these with our logo on them!

I've been researching and emailing resorts for the past 3 months or so... I need something to fill my time. Does anyone know the timeline of when I will need to make the decisions with Veronica? Will she be in touch with me or must I do all the talking? We are going with the Gold Package. It seems like it is just an upgraded version of the Love package, but since there are not many details of what each is I have nothing to be sure of. Like what is the Gold dinner compared to the Silver dinner? So many questions... I'm just happy to finally be booked and can move on.. Whew.. Ok i'm done.... If you want, PM me your email and I can send you the menus, flower, and cake options.
  13. My only concern with Veronica is she's very blunt in her emails. I asked her about bouquet options and if colors can be changed and customized. All I received was "if the flower is another color" Umm, okay. I asked for about 5 small sized orchids to be placed in my bouquet and she quoted me an additional $150! I think I"ll be sticking with a standard bouquet for that pricing.
  14. Thanks for the review, Kris. I think I remember seeing your pictures on TripAdvisor (the cake with the candles).
  15. I would try calling if you can't get an email response. I know sometimes she is slow with responding, but probably because she's busy. She'll get back to you soon, I'm sure.
  16. From what I've researched a 20 pound box is around $300 to ship to Mexico! YIKES1 So we'll be paying for some extra baggage as well as sending some family members down with extra suitcases if they don't use their 2 per person. As far as the chair sashes go- It's $5 for one color and $8 for two tone. We're buying our own, and bringing them down, they work out to $50 for 60 sashes. Veronica also said no charge to set them up for me if I bring them on my own. Which is wonderful It saves us a lot. And tulle isn't heavy so I can stuff my glass favors with them as well. I also just wanted to share a few things with everyone. I was concerned about centerpieces and being able to add stuff like candles ect. and she said that we are able to ship stuff down ahead of time. I am not sure if this will turn out to be cheaper, but with all of my luggage and the new bag fees I thought I would look into it. Also I was told that the chairs for the bows are $5 a piece and if you want any other color linens besides white there is a fee. Does anyone know if the symbolic ceremony has all traditional vows and ring exchange? I think we are going to get married ahead of time because the blood thing freaks me out. Are people telling their guests that it is not a legal ceremony? Thanks for everyones help! Happy planning!
  17. I can't wait to hear more. We're going with ERC and I'm so excited!
  18. Welcome! I'm an ERC bride as well. 2010 though.
  19. If anyone can find any extras I'm looking for 10-15 of them. Mine was all out
  20. Is they don't sell, I'd like the Spanish for Dummies and fans, please.
  21. I wanted everything you want, lol. I saw the Excellence and I fell in love with it. Outside photographers cost only $70 for a day pass. You can bring in your own chair sashes, decor, and such. And the wedding package is great compared to most resorts. It all boils down to what you fall in love with. I'm trying to find a cheaper place but nothing appeals to me like ERC does.
  22. I found these one night at work. They're my inspiration.
  23. May 10, 2010? When are you sending these out? We're May 11, 2010, and I'm busting at the seams to even print my STD's!
