Just wanted to let you girls know, the postcards shipped from VP on Tuesday. Should be here Sat or Mon.

We choose The Excellence Riviera Cancun at first because we fell in love with photos I saw from another bride. It actually made me choose a DW. After looking at the rooms, packages, restaurant and bar options and such I knew it was our #1 choice. The WC is amazing, and has been great so far. I've compared many resorts and they just haven't compared to me. I also loved the wedding setup they have, and the beach is beautiful too. They have wonderful grounds for pictures.

If shipping isnt too much I'd be interested in 15.

Thanks for the help girls. I talked to my dad after finding out we can fly him directly from Tampa to Mexico and the flight is only 90 minutes vs. the flight from PA to Mexico which is 4 hours+ and includes stops. So my parents will stay in Florida a few extra days and then fly home after the wedding instead. I can still have my dream wedding, no more tears over it. Thank goodness!

We'll need something from either NY or Florida. My parents have houses in both areas, so either one is do-able. The amount of days we're looking at is probably between 5-7.

My fiance and IO were planning a DW to the Riviera Maya at the Excellence Riviera. I had everything picked out, an this was going to be my dream wedding. Needless to say my father told me today he wouldn't be able to come due to blood clots in his legs. He's been having a tough year and has been back and forth with doctors the last two months. And of course, if my dad can't be there- I'm not getting married. I know he can do cruises, and my dream is to be married on a beach. So we decided to look into a cruise wedding, and possibly getting married when the ship docks. We've never done a cruise before, so we're clueless. Can anyone recommend anything to me? We're thinking either the Riviera Maya, or Hawaii. We'll take other areas into consideration. All I want is a nice ship, good food, clear blue water, and a beach wedding. Help

I purchased about 60 sashes from Wedding Linens Direct. So in total I have 6 packages which are VERY light. I was really surprised. I would say 60 weight less than 2-3 pounds. I would keep them in the bag they come in if you do buy from them. They're really flat and easy to store that way. We chose the Excellence Riviera. I saw a wedding at it even before I thought of having a DW and I fell in love. I've looked at numerous resorts and to me, none compare. They have amazing reviews, and their packages are wonderful as well. A bit pricey, but worth it in my opinion. We're getting married May 11, 2010. Luckily, for our resort the package pricing is the same and we can book now. We spoke with a TA and we can start booking in July. We're dead set on the date and place, so STD's will go out in June or July. I'll start making them in May.

If you go to: Claudia Rodriguez | slideshows there are some examples there as well as a TTD session. Apparently, a new website will be launched this month as well, according to Claudia.

I'm doing one to include with out STD's just basic info about our resort. The resort sent us brochures, and they're pretty much books with too many pictures. I took all the info off of the website and made my own so it fits with our STD's.

You can provide your own music for the reception, as long as you have a device to play. So if you're using an iPod, you need to have an iPod dock. To get one from the hotel is around $100+ I believe. Sometimes photographers have an assistant who will help take photos during the wedding. We're using Claudia Rodriguez, and she has an assistant. We were going to have the resort photographer as well, but she told us she prefers to work with her assistant only so they're not in the way of another photographer. If you do go with a second photographer, and they happen to be from another company make sure it is okay with them to shoot with another photographer there. Some prefer not to.

Does anyone know if mauricio clayton has a website? we're using Claudia Rodriguez for our photographer. We have mauricio in our package so I wanted to see if he can do the welcome dinner instead of the wedding. Claudia prefers not to have other photographers in her way that day.

Veronica usually meets with you when you arrive and goes through all the details. She'll show you books of options and you can choose then. We're getting married at the ERC in 2010.

Also, I'd like 3 packages of the little buckets for the tea light holders, if possible.
