  3. It's actually a font called SC By The Sea. Quote: Originally Posted by lexibride They are GREAT!!! I wish I had the time and the talent to do things like that myself. 4. for chair sashes we're doing Tiffany blue. My BM dresses are going to be pink, and we're throwing in chocolate brown as well, probably with the table runners. We might do chinese lanterns in all three colors for the reception. And candles are going to be pink & blue and I'll have pink flower centerpieces. 5. I actually used an inkjet printer. I searched for a while, comparing them. This one I found on sale on Black Friday but never bought it (wish I did, it was $25 cheaper then!) but I finally decided to get it. It was only $89. I got regular shipping and has it in less than 36 hours from the time I ordered it. 6. The minute my new printer arrived, the very first thing I did was print out my STD's. And I am thrilled with how them came out. They're a few months in the making, but I couldn't be happier with them. I also included a brochure I made for The Excellence. And managed to keep everything down so I can use a 61 cent stamp, lol.

  8. We're thinking about pushing up our legal date to next month so we can buy our first house. With the VA we need to be married for my income to count. We're getting married next may, and didn't plan on doing this until January 2010. My question is- I know when you sign your marriage license you're supposed to sign your new name that you'll use once you're married, right? We don't want to change my name until our DW because that's our real wedding to us, this is just for legal things. Would I just sign it with my name now? Can it be changed later on? This has me so confused because it just feels like everything should match up.

  10. And the best for last. I purchased these porcelain shells from Yankee Candle. I paid $5 each and would really like to get what I paid on each of them. The conch is still for sale on Yankee.com. The others sold out. They are beautiful, we just don't have room on our tables for them Conch Shell- I have 10 of these. Starfish- I have 5. Scallop Shell- I have 5. Clam Shell- I have 5. Shells tealight holders. I have 3. Shipping is extra. I do accept PayPal.
  11. We've decided to change a color in our theme, so we have no use for turquoise chair sashes any longer. I paid 79 cents each got them, but am willing to let them go for 69. They were purchased from Wedding Linens Direct. I also have: 1 Azalea satin chair sash, and two Bubblegum sating chair sashes (I was going to use these as table runners) But now we need brown instead. Asking $1.50 each. And one Turquoise organza overlay. 54x54 in. $3.50. Two bags of pink and green sea glass with shells. $3 each. These are heavy so shipping might be a little bit more. -six silver glitter beach place card holders. I was going to use these for table numbers at our AHR but we won't be having one. 99 cents each.
  12. I'm looking for a good printer, decently priced, for our invites and STD's. We're not printing on metallic cardstock, just normal 80lb cardstock, so it needs to be able to handle that and enveloped. And also good ink live. Which printers did you girls use for your invites that made them at home and didn't h ave them printed at Kinko's or some place similar??
  13. How much was it to ship everything?I heard some people pay over $300 for a 20lb box :/ Quote: Originally Posted by katusha25 I am bringing some light decoration stuff with me, like chair ribbons, rose petals, etc. But things like candles we are shipping to the resort right now. It shouldn't take more than a week to get there but I've heard of many brides shiipping decor to the resort ahead of time. I think it's risky to pack fragile things in check-in bags and too heavy to carry on with you...
  14. It seems like a lot of brides are getting mixed information from veronica, and it's frustrating! I have each and every email ever sent from her and Naomi just in case. How much is she charging your for orchids? I asked for a few maybe 3 or 4 added to my bouquet and she told me it would be $150 extra. Quote: Originally Posted by Egle Hi girls, I'm new to the forum so just wanted to share my experience with Veronica. My wedding will be on April 23rd of 2009 (very soon) and I'm getting more and more frustrated with the whole planning, especially Veronica and her silly policies. No matter what you ask her everything is "nonrefundable or exchangeable" (that's according to her). I said I don't need photographer because I have my own, so let me have more video coverage and I will pay the difference, but she said no because items are "nonrefundable or exchangeable". I said I don't want that cruise which is included in the package but she said "nonrefundable or exchangeable". Lastly I asked for few flowers to the bridesmaid instead of corsages and again "nonrefundable or exchangeable". I feel that they sell those packages as "one size fits all" and have absolutely no flexibility and don't care what the customer actually wants or needs. Different people have different needs and they should have more flexibility. My friend got married there two years ago, had a different planner at that time and totally different experience. I'm starting to feel sorry that I chose this resort, but it's too late now. I haven't even discussed the menu with her yet. Looks like I am the one who does all the planning and she just says yes or no. She doesn't ask me anything. I hope my orchids arrive in time since they have to ship them and she didn't ask me before. Other than that, we will have a ceremony at the beach location and reception in the balcony at the foyer. Only 16 guests. I booked the guitar player for the ceremony to play some romantic music, Mariachi trio for the late evening, also audio speakers from the company that they provide and I still need to book the videographer (havent' decided which option to take yet).
  15. We're going to doing the beach ceremony as well. Probably around 25 people or so. On the pier, I would say you can fit 1-2 chairs on each side of the aisle, so if you're planning a small wedding it would be fine, otherwise it would be fairly uncomfortable for guests
  16. I just got an email back from Veronica and this is what she said You must only pay a day pass that if the photographer comes from the wedding time till the end of the event is $70 usd per person but if he comes 2 or 3 hours before the wedding time they should pay a different day pass. That’s the only that they must pay. Maybe the original poster who got $150 was because she wanted the photographer there all day?
  17. I don't plan on it. My invites are going to cost me a lot, and I don't want to send them to someone who is just going to toss it aside. I don't think they would expect to get an invite if they already said no, but then other people would say "what if they change their mind?" This is why I put an unsure option on our RSVP's for our STD's.
  18. We're getting married in May 2010, I don't plan on sending out our STD's until June. I'm going to start them in May when I have vacation, but they probably won't get sent out until late May, early June. I think you have enough time to figure out a place before needing to send anything out.
  19. I just contacted Veronica about the fee, and I forwarded the message she sent me about two months ago saying we only had to pay $70 for a day pass. If she suddenly changes what we were told, I'm strongly rethinking the Excellence.
  20. I was told $70 daypass fee for the outside photographer as well. I don't know where she came up with $150...

  22. I'd like the following if still available. Fuchsia Parasol- $2.50 Embossing Powder - $3 for both Heat Gun - would you take $5? Craft Punch and Edge Punch - $4 for both
