    Help!

Hi, Try cruisecritic and post the question on the RCCL portion of the board. I think I heard you have to reserve the entire restaurant and not just a portion of it? Maybe that's why they are telling you each person needs to reserve individually? And make sure you don't mention the word "wedding" otherwise they won't help you and will instead refer you to TWE. TWE won't help either if you aren't using them for your wedding. Tell them it's a group function. Good luck! Andrea
  2. I have two pugs and also know a bunch from friends and family. I would guess that every dog, like people, will be different. My little boy pug loves to play all day and all night. My girl wants her beauty sleep. They are high maintenance and can have lots of health issues. The puggle is great because ideally the pugs health issues are not passed on. I'm a pug lover though, and to me they are worth all of the extra effort!
  3. My friend worked with the Marriott's WC named Laura. She's from the midwest and was living and working in St Thomas. Here's what she had to say: She (Laura) was AWESOME!! We e-mailed her a ton, and then set up a call to go over my many, many questions. We talked for over an hour with her. She was also awesome on-site, directing us and helping us with whatever we needed for the day. The only bump we had was our minister who had a root canal the day before and his pain meds weren't kicking in, so he was acting a little weird during the ceremony. We thought he was drunk. I emailed Laura after we returned to let her know about the weird situation and she called me directly after speaking with him to explain his situation. He hadn't wanted to cancel on us (despite the pain) because he knew we wouldn't be able to get another minister on such short notice. I thought her follow through with my discontentment was very thorough and professional.
  4. We are mailing guests a thank you package a month before our wedding cruise. That way we don't have to drag it all with us to distribute. We are giving them luggage tags and a welcome book along with a few other goodies. I have been the recipient of an OOT bag stuffed with all of the usual stuff. Honestly, most of it was stuff I already had brought along for the trip. The best part about the OOT was the bag itself (used daily) and the tylenol. The rest was little things we already had or didn't really need. What about giving everyone a beach bag? That would be something pretty easy to bring with you and distribute. You could include a welcome letter and maybe one other treat? Or you could mail them the beach bags ahead of time with a thank you note and a welcome book? Just a few ideas...
  5. My friend's were married there and didn't mention having any issues. I could find out the name of the coordinator if you are interested? Their wedding went very smoothly and was so so so so gorgeous! The gazebo is unbelieveable!
  6. My friend's were married in St. Thomas off of a cruise and were given a day room to get ready in as a part of the package deal. I'm sure you can negotiate the same with your location.
  7. I have learned that people will book and cancel without telling you. Count on your guest list changing several times.
  8. That's awesome! Take lots of pictures! Does it pull into port near where you live?
  9. You have to "select all". You only have a portion selected at the time you are saving it. I had this problem a few times too. Do ctrl + a to select everything and then save it from there.
  10. After reading this post I went to the store to pick up the CG Outlast. They had a new version called SMOOTHWEAR. In past experiences with all day lipstick it starts to feel very dry as the day goes on. It also wears off and appears to look cracked. So, the SMOOTHWEAR sounded very appealing. I put it on around noon, let it dry, and then added the gloss/moisturizer ontop. After eating two meals, running errands, cleaning the house, etc., it still looks pretty darn good at 6:15! Of course it would be much better if I would have re-applied it after about 3 hours or so. I did have to use the gloss and chapstick a few times. The great thing about the SMOOTHWEAR is it wears off evenly and just slowly lightens up. None of the cracking/crumbling or dry look. I bought it in Mauve Satin. It had more of a pink to it than appears in the sample on the box and is a really great lighter color! I paid around $9.95 for the two bottles (color and moisturizer).
  11. What an amazing honeymoon/anniversary trip! I've been on a few cruises but never there. Being on the ocean is the best!
  12. I went to a wedding off a cruise and it was held at Frenchman's Reef Marriott in USVI. So gorgeous! Here are a few pics... The beach A view from the pool and gazebo area
  13. I love the first one! So pretty! But I have to agree with Tammy that the placement of it could make or break it. Good idea to have it on hand and decide after you are all dressed and ready.

  16. Welcome! I'm doing a cruise wedding on Royal Caribbean in February. I attended a cruise wedding a few years ago on Carnival. Let me know if you have any questions about it!
  17. That's so unfair and sad. Hang in there...
