First off, congrats on your baby girl! So exciting! My friend is having a little girl in a few weeks and naming her Signe (pronounced signey). My top girl name right now is Penelope. Can't wait to be able to use it someday !

A couple we know dressed up as The Ambiguously Gay Duo from the Saturday Night Live cartoon sketch. It was hilarious! The same girl also dressed up as a lightening bug one year. She bought one of those push round lights and attached it to her butt and wore huge goggles! She has had some great costumes! The year she was a lightening bug her boyfriend dressed up like a Geisha!

I've read the other threads on this and opinions are mixed. Some will say it's rude to invite people to the shower that aren't included in your wedding and others say go for it. We weren't so into the idea of having a shower but my family insisted. People that couldn't make it to our wedding and some that weren't invited really wanted to celebrate with us. So IMO invite whoever you want to include at your shower!

I can't believe my shower is coming up this Saturday! They decided to have it early in the year so we can enjoy the warmer weather. It gets cold here in Minnesota early! We are having a family picnic/BBQ and shower all in one. There are 7 people helping in some way or another. After lots of inspiration from BDW I decided to do a little DIY host gift. The supplies: I used PowerPoint to create thank you tags. I bought off white paper with shimmer for printing. I cut the tags with a 2" fiskers round punch and then punched a smaller hole at the top for the ribbon. Here's a close up of the front of the tag (the back has a thank you message): I went to Michael's and bought the lavender draw string gift bags and filled each of them with a few small jars from Penzey's Spices: Penzeys Spices Home Page. I tried to choose something I thought each person would enjoy to personalize it. Finally, I tied a tag on each bag with various ribbons. Here's the finished product!

I was so shocked by this one! I thought she was still with her bf of like 10 years! I watched her FI on I Love NY and he was one of the nicer guys on there. I believe he made it to the final 2 and she chose the other guy.
