  1. Everything looks wonderful! Your dress fits you so perfectly!!! Best wishes on your upcoming wedding!
  2. My cousin was a former pageant queen for a murder mystery dinner our family put together. We made her a sash and put "Whine Queen" on it. Very fitting for her!
  3. You could always be Miss Understood
  4. First of all...congratulations!!! That's so exciting! I would agree that you don't have to give a specific reason. If no one has booked airfare or done anything that will be difficult to change it shouldn't be a big deal for them. You could send out a new save the date? I will say they are going to be curious so you may want to just go ahead and tell them to make your life easier later on
  5. I think paying for their accomodations is enough of a thank you gift. What about writing a letter to your guests thanking them for making the journey? Include a line about...in appreciate for traveling so far to be with us on our wedding day, we have paid for your accomodations at ________________. You could do a few luggage tags at pretty low cost to include? Or maybe something like a card that lists to most common French to English translations?
  6. I couldn't find any pics of FI without either his glasses or facial hair. I finally went with one and our baby was soooooooooo fugly! He had a huge forehead and a tiny chin. Maybe he's REALLY smart?! LOL!
  7. She's so adorable! Having a dog is the bestest
  8. I LOVE reality TV but FI hates it so I try to limit the amount I watch. My favs are Survivor, Amazing Race, and Big Brother. I also get sucked into American Idol and some of the MTV and VH1 ridiculousness . I guess that is a lot!

  10. I'm so excited about my personalized ring bowl! I ordered it from Etsy seller Paloma's Nest and absolutely love it! I plan to hang it in our bedroom after the wedding. Here are a few pics...
  11. Wow! Thanks for the info! I'm going to start trying that. Do you know how much coffee grinds and lotion to use to get the right ratio?
  12. We attended our friends wedding there in 2006 off of a cruise. Their wedding was so beautiful! The location is spectacular! They had a wonderful experience planning their wedding. They also used the hotel's photographer and had excellent pics.
  13. Lauren - I bet if your sister contacted JD through Myspace he would totally respond! What a player! The craptacular is so gross! High Pitch is annoying. Did you all like Tracy Morgan today? He's hilarious and so over the top! When he said discharge crust I almost puked!
  14. I discovered it a few years ago on All Recipes and having been making it ever since. The only thing i've changed up is the chocolate chips. So delicious!
  15. This is my very favorite cookie recipe and I thought I would share it with my very favorite BDWers Best Big Fat Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies! Ingredients • 2 cups all-purpose flour • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda • 1/2 teaspoon salt • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted • 1 cup packed brown sugar • 1/2 cup white sugar • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract • 1 egg • 1 egg yolk • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips (sometimes I like to use a mix of milk and dark chips) DIRECTIONS 1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets lightly. Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. 2. In a medium bowl, cream together the melted butter, brown sugar and white sugar until well blended. Beat in the vanilla, egg, and egg yolk until light and creamy. Mix in the sifted ingredients until just blended. Stir in the chocolate chips by hand using a wooden spoon. Drop cookie dough 1/4 cup at a time onto the prepared cookie sheets. Cookies should be about 3 inches apart. 3. Bake for 10-15 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges are lightly toasted. The minute the edges start to brown take them out. If they stay in too long they won’t be very soft. Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely. This recipe is soooooo good! I’ve made it numerous times and someone always asks if I got them at a bakery. I think one key to this recipe is using unsalted melted butter. Enjoy!
  16. That is the sweetest story! Can't wait to see pics!
  17. Adorable ring bearer outfit!! So cute! My 36 year old cousin is our ring bearer . We invited lots of our younger family members but non of them could make it. So, we are going a unique route! I keep joking with her about wearing a bowtie or something. The necklace is really pretty too! We had our shower about a month ago. They decided to do it early because we wanted to have it in a park and the weather was going to turn soon after September.
