Another Cancun Bride -Welcome!

I have been thinking the same thing. There are so many creative things on this site (welcome brochures, spreadsheets of activities etc)...I think if you put together a really cool welcome folder that was personalized for each guest, it would be affordable AND cool. (and then maybe you could add a little something small with it like a pocket english /spanish guide). I think I am going to do this. not sure yet -but same here -it comes down to the $$$.

hi everyone- I am not in the bl3 club, but i am trying VERY hard to lose weight. I am addicted to pasta and i just wanted to share a dish that is a great substition that i have been loving. FAKE MAC & CHEESE chop up cauliflower really tiny (mini bite size) & saute or boil until soft. in a fry pan toss with with a few tbs. milk (i use soymilk) and sprnkle in some 2% grated cheese. then i thrown it in a small casarole dish in the oven with another layer of chese on top and bake until its crispy. top with ground pepper! i know, i know the cheese is sort of bad....but if you use lowfat the dish is a great low carb fake pasta for when you're really craving it just wanted to share.

hey cancunbride -I'm a MUA too! My personal opinion would be to do own makeup and have them do your hair.....here's a question -the ultimate package has hair & makeup application included. I wonder if you opted out of the makeup you could substitute a hair tiral. just a thought.

hmmm. well id does say the honeymoon package is "complementary when booking a honeymoon suite or higher"...so sounds to me like it is included regardless of what you are doing for your wedding...? I mean I guess that makes sense if we are not getting the $769 discount, you get the $769 package! .... i hope? (I'd rather have the discount!

QUESTION ABOUT DREAMS WEDING PACKAGE: My question is, If the basic Package is free with 7 nights in a honeymoon suite... wouldnt the cost of the other packages (ie: Ultimate Package) ALSO be reduced with the 7 night stay? Sorry if the answer is right in front of me -I cant find it!

sooo...I was pretty set on doing a mini site visit at the end of July to Dreams Cancun....but we could'nt seem to get a room last minute -not to mention affordable airfare! Finally today I just went ahead and booked a stay nextdoor at Fiesta Americana (cheaptickets.com) & got Claudia on the phone and booked an appointment with her. So basically we will meet with her- tour the reception sites and do all the contract and money stuff in person. This way I will at least have seen where I am going to get married, met the WC and will have given my deposit. I can rest my worried mind! (and lay by the pool for two days -even if it is next door!) I also want to somehow get on site to the beach area at night and see what the "wind /sand" situation is like. I will do my best to take some pics!

This is definitely a concern. I feel so guilty! I am just hoping that everyone can get their tickets in advance to get the best fare possible. Another concern is the horror stories I have heard about people booking a year in advance and then their flight getting canceled last minute and having to pay full price! Many of my guests would not be able to afford it if that happened.
