I love the placecards..with the white starfsih that Shelley has in her first few photo's.....do you think these would just lay flat, and then people pick them up as they walk in (as opposed to escort cards)? Has anyone done these? if so, would love to see pictures and hear feedback.

Hi - first off Helen...i'm so sorry.....how frustrating that must be for you. At least they know what is going on and can treat it. Niels and Kevsgirl, I am in the same predicament as most others here. We sent out invites out in early August with an rsvp due date of 9/1..so far we've gotten about 28 of the 75 rsvp's back. Now, i will say that I know that the Canadian one's (at least Eastern Ontario ) are going to be super-late because....are you ready for this - it took 13 DAYS to get them delivered to Ottawa. Canadian Postal service is so ridiculous sometimes. But, with that being said, even our groomsmen and bridesmaids haven't sent there's in on time. Do you think because it's a DW people say "oh, they already know we are coming, we used their travel agent, and told them when we booked"? I got my shoes this week - flip flops (white, except I was looking for Ivory) and wedding shoes from Zappo's. If you go to zappo's and search by "theme" Wedding....they will all come up. Love Zappo;s - free shipping to me and free returns..so I bougt 3 pair and chose the most comfortable of the 3 (usually I choose the best looking, so going comfortable was tough), but I really don't want to have sore feet on my wedding night. Also, we chose our first song (Save the Last Dance for Me by Michael Buble) and started dance lessons this week - fun and a good work out. Hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend.

i found my silver starfish necklaces on e-bay for about $20.00 each. Unless you have loads and loads of money, i personally think spending amost $1000 on 2 bridesmaids and 2 flower girls is very extravagant. I got my 3 bridesmaids persoanlized passport holders, starfish necklace, tank top that says bridesmaids and waffle robes...for my flower girl and ring bearer, I am getting them T-shirts. Probably spent total of $250 on everything.

I got mine at: Bouquet Jewels - Unique Bouquets for Unique Brides It was under $20 and is very pretty. Mine is a turquoise color.

Hi girls - I spoke with Andrew today...and he can actually ship them to multiple destinations from his shop (rather than paying the shipping to ship them all to me, and then paying me to ship them out to you...I thought this way would be easier). He will give you shipping costs, once we figure out who is in, and what everyone's zip/postal code is. For now, we really need 1 more person. I'm not sure how to include a "thread" in a post...but if someone can tell me how to do that, i can post this opportunity in my December 08 Brides Forum....are there any other places? My next project is to work on an informational brochure, that I will send to everyone (along with luggage tags) about 6 weeks prior to the wedding. If anyone has a template for this, or has done one, please let me know. Would love to hear from you all, on how everythng is going.

For all my guests that rsvp YES, they will get 2 luggage tags per person, and an informational brochure! I've completed Part 1 (the Luggage Tags) off a template that Becks provided, which I just modified. here they are (other side is a space for name/address etc)

WOW - that looks great, and I definintely may steal some of your verbiage and ideas. Your guests will be so grateful that you've created this for them.

Hi Beach Bride - I just responded to the other thread to say I am IN on the cups......but I think we should consider having them shipped to one of us in the US vs. the address in Canada. Shipping is going to be very expensive and can take a long time to get to Canada - it might be easier if we shipped her order to her, rather than the bulk order going to her...KWIM? I just emailed my WV and asked about storing your stuff.....that idea sounds good to me and helps you on your costs. Would love to see pics though, once you get a chance to get them unpacked again. Also, I would just get standard tea-lights to go in them?
