Yeah I really liked Andrea's wedding (12.29.07), that is what made me lean towards a ceremony and reception outside instead of a gazebo. If you book 30 rooms, you get unlimited private functions, the key word is "BOOK" which none of my guests have... so I may be lucky if I get ten rooms booked at this point. As far as the centerpieces, I don't know all the costs, but I am getting fresh flower center pieces from the hotel. Hello I am a MP Bride - getting married January 29, 2009 I would love to see Andrea's review (12.29.07) but I cannot seem to find it. Can you possibly send the link to me?? Thanks so much . . . Laura

Obviously, my FI and I will be busy yet I still want my music playing at the appropriate times. TIA!!! Also, I'm thinking about a beach wedding (my FI isn't 100% sold on the gazebo) and was wondering about the cost of a simple setup...anyone check on it? Hello - my name is Laura and I am a MP Bride - we are getting married January 29th, 2009 - so it looks like we will be there at the same time. We arrive on the 24th and depart on Feb 7th. We are hoping to plan a Chapel Gazebo ceremony and then either the chapel garden or terrace reception. We are concerned with the 10pm deadline though and we are not sure where to have our reception as we want to be outside and take advantage of our surroundings. I am sure we can help each other along the way. Congrats! Laura

I have some photos and info that the WC sent me if you would like to see them. Send me a PM and I will forward it to you. Hi Jennifer My name is Laura and we are getting at MP on January 29th, 2009 I would love to see your pics of the beach set-up. This is something we are considering and the photos would help greatly with this decision. Thank you so much - looking forward to the photos Laura

We have been married 12 years and we really don't have anything - our wedding photos were terrible. So...I hired Elizabeth Medina. She did a fabulous job - I am SO unphotogenic - and I really love what she got. We had a great time meeting her and her family and hanging out with them. I'll try to add a couple of pics here later, but here is the slideshow if you would like to see. The pics were taken at the Fairmont Mayakoba. Jill and Brian Amazing - you both look great =)

My name is Laura and I am a soon to be bride at Moon Palace and am requesting through my TA to have the Grand Side for our stay as well as our guests. I noticed that you are staying on the Grande Side. How did you assure this booking? Can you let me know what is what like - we are anxious to see more photos of it and how the construction is going. We are hoping to have our civil cermoney at the Chapel Gazebo and I believe the the Grand Side is closest to this gazebo. I think the Grand Side is next to the Nizu Side. Thanks ~ I appreciate your help! Have fun~

Either way, it was a nice surprise. We had about a hour in between the 2 which was plenty of time because I was so tired of posing for pictures by then! Sharla - I love your photos - it looked amazing! I hope to have my civil ceremony at the Chapel Gazebo and then a cocktail reception followed right after the ceremony - then we can have our pics done at the beach while our guests enjoy some tappas and bevies. Can I assume that you can do this are they flexible? What was your planning experience like once you arrived at the resort? TY

Does anyone have experience with this?
  14. Hi Erin & Josh We are getting married January 29, 2009 and are hoping to get a head start and plan early. How long are you staying at the resort?

I would do it as soon as you can, because the spaces book up. We ended up getting a different ballroom than the one I originally chose because I screwed around for a few weeks too long! Thanks for the heads-up! I emailed Katherine Rivera our Wedding Sales Coordinator-MIAMI and requested that I book our gazebo, cocktail reception site and dinner restaurant. I am awaiting her response and hope that it is a yes! Katherine's original email stated the following; " Your onsite wedding coordinator will be in contact with you 3 months prior to the wedding date, that is when you may request optional services and set up your package amenities. I have attached the restaurants list and private function information so that you may select what you would like for when the onsite wedding coordinator contact you." Has anyone had experience with this? Thanks again Brides!
  16. Betsy - thanks for letting me know We love the Chapel Gazebo and hope that we can reserve it for our civil ceremony. Do you know when I am allowed to choose my gazebo and terrace for our cocktail reception. Thanks again ladie . . . this is such a huge help!
  17. I would love the palm tree paper punch! Just let me know what to do . . . Thanks Laura
  18. Chapel Gazebo Does anyone know if you can choose the Chapel Gazebo even if you are having a Civil Ceremony?
  19. Wow - I love your photos Sharla. What photo package did you choose? As we are also considering using the resort photographer.
  20. Hello Ladies, I am in the midst of making arrangements to send my email wedding proposal via the palace website. Our hope is to have . . . January 29, 2009 @ 3pm 3pm Wedding - in the Chapel Gazebo ~ * Do you have to have a catholic ceremony? - as I am Canadian and we are not able to have the catholic ceremony (as per the palace webside) followed by a Cocktail Reception on the terrace - overlooking the ocean - beside the Chapel Gazebo (while we are having pictures taken) * I think this should be free, as we have at least 10 rooms booked through CAA Travel and a group contract with the hotel through Signature followed by Dinner at the Steak Restaurant-or some other restaurant (any recommendations) or Ideally Dinner on the terrace (beside the Chapel Gazebo) - We would like all the 'bells and whistles' ~ We hope to have the special linens, seating guide, menu card ~ all the extras would find on the website ~ Does anyone have experience with this? Sound System - as we have heard that you can use your IPOD?? Lighting System - any info is helpful? Is any other bride planning this type of day ~ as I could you any advise - pics etc. I also hope to hire an outside photographer vendor - Del Sol Photography ~ Does anyone have any reviews of their abilities - costs? Or do you recommed another Vendor? My thought is if you are going to go away you should have terrific pictures that truly detail the experience. Grand Moon side - has anyone heard updates on this side of the resort - as we have requested that our guests stay on this side?? Sorry for the 20 questions - but I am sure there are more (lol) Thank you to each of you as your posts are a huge help! Take Care Laura
  21. I noticed that you have talked with Elizabeth Medina - thinking of using her as well. Can you provide me with any further details ~ costs etc.
