Is anyone aware of a price list/availability list for flowers through the resort? OR has anyone used an outside vendor in mexico for their flowers (not silk)? The map is wicked!!! I spoke with my onsite WC yesterday for the 1st time and she also informed me of the same policy with the Chapel Gazebo. She has placed a special request with her Manager to reserve the spot for our wedding. We are keeping our fingers crossed!

Also, our Deluxe package includes a photo & video package. I wanted keep the videographer for the weddding, but since we have our own photographer, can we use the photo package for a different function like the welcome dinner? And this was her response: Hi Janice, Yes that would be fine if your photographer comes in as a guest. It’ll also be fine if you choose the photo package for your welcome dinner. So it would appear as if all is kosher with the resort. I would suggesting sending a similar e-mail with your WC to make sure you have it in writing so as to avoid any problems at the resort. Wow - thank you so much. I just spoke with my onsite WC for the 1st time yesterday and she was so helpful and friendly. I will be sending her the same email as we have the outside photographers staying as guests, as well as the deluxe wedding package that also includes photography. I love the idea of have the resort photography package used for the welcome dinner (as we plan on having one as well) We also hope to use of wedding package dinner as our welcome dinner (I have read that you can do this as well, but I will still need to confirm with my WC) ~ Thank you ~

  9. Hi! Is any other bride getting married on January 29th, 2009? If so, what time & location of ceremony & reception? Thank you
  10. Hello bride-to-be's Do you have any photographs of the Grand Moon side of the resort? Any updates on the construction? Are the pools & restaurants open? Thanks soo much =)
  11. Does anyone have photos of the ceremony location sites? I am looking for photographs of all 3 gazebos, terrace & beach wedding locations. We are trying to make a decision as to what location we would like to have our ceremony. Thank you =)

The more I think about it, the more the idea of having the resort's photographer take pictures for only 45 minutes bothers me. We have hired Tamm's Photography for 2 nights and 3 days - terrific package. We are booking the husband & wife team as our guests. We have also booked the Deluxe Package - which includes photography. Based on your post - Can I assume that there will on be 45 minutes of pictures? If so, we are glad we hired an additional photographer - as we would like shots of the entire day and evening.

Our wedding in January 29, 2009 and I have been told who my WC is and I have emailed her but nothing back yet. We know all of our plans, we just need to set them in stone - any assitance with this would be much appreciated!!! What are your plans? What is your wedding package? What is the extra hours for the reception? We are hoping to have a private reception and would love to book an extended time past the 10pm cutoff - Can you offer any assistance with this? Thank so much!!! Laura

I'm planning on booking her accomodations through expedia as it comes out to $365/night, which is cheaper than what the resort charges at $380/night. I hadn't realized that you were a fellow Canuck. I'm in Calgary! Hello fellow Canadian! I did hear about the 10pm restriction - which sucks, but we really want to take advantage of our surroundings! We would love to have an outdoor reception - now I have read that sometimes they will let you have your reception goes past the 10pm point (but I am not certain) I truly hope this is not the case, but if it is, we are going to use this time for our guests to head back to their rooms and freshen up and meet back at the disco? I am going to request through my WC that we have our extended (keeping my fingers crossed) Tamm's Photography - your expedia price is great - I am going to look there. Are you letting your WC know that they are coming or are you going to keep it quiet and just say they are guests Thank you =) Laura

Standing behind is bad for pictures and seems awkward. Can you request to have the minister stand behind the alter? I am not a fan of the pews as well and would prefer the white chairs (as they can be decorated) Is it possible to have the pews covered? If that were the case, then why on earth is the crucifix (sp?) removable? I've read about a number of other people having their non-catholic weddings there and I'll be pretty upset if I miss out on the opportunity because my Miami Sales Coordinator isn't provided with the same information that others were. I'm not particularly partial to the arch in either of the other two gazebos, so the chapel is ideal. And don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about the Miami girls, because I know their hands are tied, but it will really piss me off if the two other ceremonies being held on our wedding day get first choice of the ceremony location because they were given more complete information. I dropped an email to Marlyn requesting to be put into contact with a coordinator in Cancun because the majority of the questions I have can be better answered by them, and she stated that she submitted a request. Did you call Cancun directly to make your reservations? Or did your S.C. in Miami set things up? Hello Bride-to-be, Catholic Chapel - I have read that you can use the chapel even if your ceremony is civil. If this is not true then this will ruin our plans as well. We are hoping to have our civil wedding in the Catholic Chapel Gazebo - Can anyone confirm if this is correct? Our hope was to have our ceremony in the Catholic Gazebo and then possibly a chapel garden reception. I feel the same way, as I am not partial to the other gazebo's - if this is the case we may have our ceremony like Andrea's on 12-29-07 - their ceremony was on the terrace (you can see it on another post) We are getting married on January 29th, 2009 and are still waiting to hear back from our Resort WC. Can anyone help as to how I can speed up this process? (as we are ready to plan) Thank you

We're planning to go with package 1 and perhaps arrange for the DJ to stick around longer in case the guest don't want to stop dancing (which will likely be the case). I am super excited about Tammara. Are you arranging a 2 nights stay for her? If so, how are you planning on booking? We were thinking of just booking through expedia. Hello Thank you for the dj info - I think we are going to go with Package 4 - as we are doing our own music. I have read that you can book the lighting seperately. When I request the sound system I will enquire about the lighting. I am going to check with my WC as I am hoping to being booking stuff now, as I am at the 3 month point soon. Are you having a private function? We are and are planning either the chapel garden or one of the new terraces. We are very excited about working with Tamms - we are book them 2 nights, the night before the wedding and the night of the wedding. We are having the 'honeymoon/ttd' shots done the next day. What a great package, far better then the hotel add ons. I may book them through CAA (our current travel provider-they have already booked the entire wedding group) Or if I can get a better price through another provider I will. Have you received any quotes yet? What are your plans? Great to chat Laura
