  1. Hola Chicquitas!

I am now only 5 months away and starting to panic (just a little). We are booked with 23 confirmed and another 20 verval confirmed (was only hoping we would get 25, but now all the loved ones are going...yeah, I think!)

    User Name: kerryjbrown

    Name: Kerry & Graham

    Location: Capella Pedregal

    Wedding: April 4, 2009

in Cabo: 4/1/09-4/8/09 wedding only (honeymoon...undecided but most likely Italy and Spain or Greece)

    Site Visit 12/20/08-12/27/08

Thanks for all your help MODS and Brides...you have made this easier than originally expected.

  2. I have not had a wedding there, but my family goes here every year (25-45 of us) for the past 3 years as the hotel we usually got to for over 13 years closed. I will say that yes it is private which is nice. However, many of us have stopped going due to the hotel and it's service. I no longer do the family trip as 3 days for $2000 was not worth it at this hotel.

Here are the groups complaints just so you have some group feedback (mind you, no weddings):

    1. The rooms that are the most expensive that are ocean front...there are a couple that are not. Mine ended up being at the top far left (if you are lookin at the beach). We were head level with the main road in Cabo and our door had a 1 inch gap in it that ou could see through. There was a unit in frontof us that blocked our ocean view so the patio with pool was useless. We got NO sleep due to the semi'son the road at night. Overall, I will never stay there again for this reason alone.

2 They will not serve you at the pool.

    3. There were not enough lounge chairs at the pool for more than 10 or 12 people.

    4. There were no palapas, loungers on the beach (and no service)

We demanded if they wanted our group to return they had to provide #2,3,4 for us, which I think kthey tried to do but still wasn't enough for our group.

    5. We book out the whole hotel so it should be just us. They allow non-guests at the pool and overserve them on alcholol. My aunt was hit in the face iwth a football by a drunk non-guest.

  3. I ordered Beach Towels for all of my guests to put in the OOT Bags. I bought them from Beach Towels wholesale manufacturer of custom embroidered monogrammed bath towel for corporate events and ordered the 30x60 IMPORTED WHOLESALE BEACH TOWELS BY COTTON FRUIT Velour Terry in Lime Green (1 case of 24) and Carribean Blue (1 case of 24) with opposing color embroidery of Los Cabos, Mexico and our wedding date April, 4 2009. The total cost was $376.35 including $52.74 in shipping costs. They did a great job on communication and they were here within the week.

However, the color on the blue is NOT the color on the website and they are fighting with me about it saying it is my screen. I have looked at them on 6 different computers and they are not even close. The Carribean blue on the website is almost alike a royal blue but more bright than dark, it is a bright vibrant blue. The color I got was periwinkle. NOT HAPPY! My wedding colors are Lime and Bright Peacock blue with aqua. These so do not go!

I also did not realize when I ordered them, how thin they are. They are very flimsy and do not even peek out of my OOT bags as my regular beach towels at home did when I sampled the look. Bummer!

Am I crazy or are the blue's totally off?

I am emailing the manager today as the sales rep said "too bad, not our fault" which made me more mad.

  4. Where did you all rent the really tall vases that stand on the ground? I have a quote from Del Cabo Event Designs for $95 each. I can buy them here in the US for $60 wholesale and was hoping I could find them a bit cheaper than $95 each. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

  5. I did mine exactly like Becks. I used 1inch ribbon and started at the top pushing the ribbon through the hole on the left and then doing 1 turn around and back up through the hole on the right. I then brought it around the middle and down around the handle. I finished it back through one of the holes on top and tucked them in with a glue dot under the middle ribbon. Here are my pics (I eliminated the white, these were my first 4 wrapped ones testing colors).

  6. If you like promiscuous, check out High Heels, Sexy Shoes, Sexy Halloween Costumes, Sexy Lingerie, Sexy Costumes by Pierre Silber. When I lived in the Bay Area I bought all my Halloween costumes there (ex's friend was a stripper and she pointed me there for a pimp & ho party).

This year...no sexy here. We have the munchkin for the first time in 2 years so we are goign as a Bee Hive. I am Queen Bee, with my worker bee (FI) and baby bee (her). Both dogs have costumes as well as we needed enough dressed up to make a hive....no laughing, I was trying to teach her about bug families....and here we are!

  7. OOT Bag labels I created. I took the ecru envelopments paper and resized my monogram to 4in and then just cut/pasted them 4 to a page with the following sheet as 4 to a page of welcome to Cabo (didn't realize until I posted that I had wnated to say Bienvenidos a Los Cabos...and totally forgot...oh well, too late now). Here is my word doc. My crystals came in today so I am gluing them on each one in the middle of the heart between the two aqua leaves pointing at each other. ***it won't let me attach, PM me and I will email it to you***

As for the labels working on pens...the clear would work if it is not a glossy slick surface. I wrapped them around a pen in my desk and it seemed to work. Big issue is the edges (maybe you could seal it with tape and it would be fine). I can send you a sheet if you want to test it, PM me. My big concern is I don't know how long they will stick as my tubes unrolled within an hour, yet they were super slick. I bought the avery (non see through, so it has a silver back) white ones and they stick GREAT!

  8. You guys Found them! Thank you Jacilynda (I emailed the seller to see if I can get all one color) and am calling Ace tomorrow to see if the blue can be ordered allin blue. You ROCK!

I bought both the luggage tags (actually proximity badges in clear) 100 for 11.99 then bought luggage tag straps seperately (I think it was 100 for $3).

I bought the key card holders as well for about the same price and they were resealable badges.

    All were bought on Amazon.com

The key inserts saying is "borrowed" from Becks (again, thank you) and says

I take you to carry my key

and money for poolside or barstool

    for soused or for sober.

In heat and in humidity until I depart

I have tweaked it a million times and could not clear it on the rocks. in person you cna read it if you turn it sideways and FI did not want me to change the pic as I took it on one of our recent trips down (so it stayed...propbably not our best decision but whatever...)

I printed the rest of the pages today at Kinko's (as Kodak is sending me a new printer as mine has never worked right and they didn't look right, but it is not here yet) and the colors are WAY brighter and better. Worth the $15 in printing.

  9. They are great, I have used them. They got back to me within a week (seems they are not as email friendly as we are here in the US). Remember many people left last week due to the hurricane that was coming. Most are back now, so I would try again.

  10. Here we go...these are my samples (I am going to put them all together tonight). I did 4 separate luggage tags that way each person gets 2 and the couple will have no two the same. FI laughed at me but liked them once I put them together. I also did the Key Card Holders (still looking for the coil wrist band in all one color-turquoise, blue, lime, or acqua if anyone knows where to get them not in mixed color bags). I "borrowed" the text from Becks (THANKS GIRL!) on a photo I took in cabo last year with the monogram on the other side. These pages are stuck in with glue dots (didn't like the look, but couldn't figure out how else to do it).

Feedback before I print them all off?
