Well, that wasn't an emotional day! Holy Moly...it wasn't even supposed to be a real dress shopping day but a "work" day my girlfriend told me. NOT! At the two stores, I probably tried on 25 dresses and burst into tears (or she did which started me again) at least 5 times. She was right though, it is work (was better than being at real work), but we did figure out which styles look good on my figure which is why we went before the big day next Saturday with Mom and the Girls. I found to be very strange that the ladies won't leave you in the room at all so you can't even discuss the dress or the price openly which is obviously so you don't take pictures. So there was no sneaking a camera phone pic which I thought would happen. I did fall in love with an Amsale dress....now I am just teetering on the price tag (veils are over $1000...ouch, I had no idea). Do you recommend alterations at the store or finding a seamstress to do it (charging $450, is this in the right range)? Anyone know a less expensive place to buy Kenneth Pool for Amsale thank Saks?

No, she is not being mean or not that she doesn't want to come. The last time she came to the US she said it would most likely be her last trip to Ca. I have looked up flights for them and it would take about 18 hours for them to get there without coming here first. I offered to move the wedding to Carribean or Europe but FI says no. I just don't want her to miss out.

Hi Season! I am planning in Cabo as well but not doing all-inclusive. Be careful of Sep. as when I lived there we got hit (first time in years with a direct hit) with a nasty hurricane on Sept. 27th. I have found a ton of good advise for where to look on this forum. Good Luck

Does anyone know of a wedding website that I can use my own photos as the background/template? I took some amazing photos in St. Lucia where we got engaged and lived in cabo so have tons of Cabo pics that I want to use instead of a generic. THanks in advance!

The family lives in Ireland and the last time she was here she said it would be her last trip. I have moved the wedding date 5 times for them. They agreed to 4/4 (which neither of us really wanted) but now MIL is not coming as it is too far. This was my first question when I asked them about the wedding if Cabo would be OK. Crazy!
