  1. There are personalized books which are fantasic. They are only about $13 and the child is in the book. There are several websites for them if you google personalized books. Some of the sites I have used are: Personalized Children's Books Personalized Children's Books from Create a Book Personalized Childrens Books - Our beautiful childrens books are a magical adventure in reading!

I've been looking at sheaths, but have yet to be inspired... ...until I saw Rosa Clara's '09 collection --- I love love love the Lau dress (Sorry, it won't let me copy the picture and I can't find it anywhere else -- if you want to see it, enter the site, go to "Rosa Clara" [the second choice down] and click see models). It is exactly what I want! Even though it's strapless! It has an obi-like sash/train, which is perfect since I'm half Japanese and spent a year in Japan - kind of ties in my heritage. And more importantly, it's gorgeous. It's also in the multiple thousands of dollars -- as in over $5k I think. I really love her design aesthetic (I love the Lak style as well), but haven't seen anything similar. I have plenty of time to look, but I'm a little deflated right now. I guess I could try to have a seamstress replicate it (in something a little lighter than silk brocade!) but I would think I should try it on first to be sure... Does anyone have any suggestions? Or has seen a similar designer somewhere? I hope! Where do you live? There is a place in LA that is a huge warehouse style shop that does knockoffs of all the designers? I think it is called International Brides
  3. These are great photos! Nice eye....love the swan pic
  4. I have seen the shop in Cabo and the work was lovely. I am just begining my floral communications and before I could even contact them (as I don't have specifics yet), Criss contacted me asking how my planning was coming along. This goes a long way with me and look forward to speaking with them.
  5. There was something on NPR today about a lawsuit against a doctor for using their personal beliefs (religous) to not treat someone as it is illegal....how does he get away with this and no one turnign him in?
  6. Sorry for the bumps and bruises...but it does mean it was a good party
  7. Maura, you look so serene and calm. You look gorgeous! Congratulations and welcome home!
  8. Thank you Claudia. I am meeting with Carlos and Elena on Wednesday so I will look at these sites as well.
  9. Thanks all! I emailed pics to my mom as well and she thought they were perfect for our color scheme. I am not sure yet how many I need (keep hearing everyone saying they are going but won't count it until I see plane tix). I bought 25, I am going to buy 5 more to be safe as our 30 people is now 40 and about 10 are singles. Thanks for the feedback
  10. I would only send STD's to people that you are sending a formal invite to, even if you know they are not going to attend (you don't have to send them an invite if they decline)
  11. Not sure what a good price is? I found these today on clearance at Walmart for $5. They are 12.5in.X14.5in.x4in. My wedding colors are blue, lime, acqua....so they were a perfect fit. I bought them as they seemed cheap and the perfect color. I am going to do beach towels so they are the right size. What do you think, do they look cheap? Should I return them? i was initially going to do something that I could monogram, but with these I can use the monogram as a name tag on each and then guests can resuse without our name on their bag. Is $5 too much or is that a normal price for OOT bags? Thanks all, I appreciate your help in this decision! The Bag Bag Colors (it is covered in a plastic material for water resistance, which I thought would be perfect for the beach). HEre is the bag with 2 large beach towels in it (not the ones I will buy)
  12. Those are HOT! They will certainly stand out and you can always wear them again later.

She is not the easiest to train as she is allergic to protein so we had to cut out all dog treats and the training was tied to treats. i am now going to have to hire a pro trainer to come in. She has the best personality and is great with kids and other dogs.
  14. As my FI likes to call our house...animal house! We have two cats, a dog and a munchkin....this is our little furry famly This is our French Bulldog Zoe, she is 1 (and a fellow Leo) This is our ghetto Kitty Caesar, which we found on the street starving. He obviously has made himself very comfy in our kitchen. This is my first baby Leo. He is a 4 year old Ragdoll (and an Aries, just like FI). And yes, he does play pool....took me a while to figure out where the balls would go while I was at work...now he has also taught Caesar and they play together...I should youtube it one day.
  15. These are HOT! Love them! I didn't know she had high heels. The website only has tennis shoe types...I am going to have to hunt around to see what else she has that's sexy! Great find

Gosh knows my booty needs it...I have been slacking off since the engagement....most likely because I sit here typing on BDW all day!
  19. I emailed Deena today to book a tasting in Dec (not expecting a reply) and she emailed me tonight. She is on vacation and only checking email every few days.
  20. Sure...let me find it and charge the Nano...training tomorrow night so most likely wont' walk until Sat. I will look up the site online to see what I need to do. I have been seriously slacking so hopefully I will get back into it! Sound fun!
  21. How about a computere generated calig. label tied with a pretty ribbon? then they could display the sand dollar in their house?
  22. Congratulations on becoming a MRS.!!!! I hope your day was amazing as I am sure it was with all your attention to detail!
  23. Supposedly the best in Cabo is Elena Damy Contemporary Floral Design, but they are more expensive. I am meeting with them in person next week as they are here in CA on vacation (but willing to meet with me).
  24. Don't worry, I did the same thing. Jeremy's response will fix it for you. Just make sure you close your program first or after you install the font then reopen it other wise it won't be in the drop down fonts (I had this issue). Good Luck
