    I lived in Cabo in 2001-2002. We had a huge hurricane Sept. 27 2001 and it was the first hurricane to directly hit Cabo in 20 years. The problem is that no one really has any way to predict if there will be one as it needs the air and water temperatures to be just right. Praying for the best weather for you!

    I am so sorry to hear that Erin! Is this a new development since the wedding or was it always there and you looked past it (as we all tend to do being women)? I would wait for the immediate anger to subside and ask him to sit down to talk with you, expalining how you feel (not attacking him) and ask him to be more sensitive as you are his wife, not a military commrad. I wish you the best as I am terrible at confrontation (I am a manager at work and hate to take the lead at home) but it is super important to keep communications lines open an honest so we don't let it build up.

    There are a ton of threads on this. Oriental Trading company appears to be the favorite or you can get them at blissweddingmarket.com. They run about $1 per fan.

    I had looked at this as well and went with their suggestion to me which was $20 per person for the first hour and $10 for each additional hour. When drinks are $7-$8 each and God knows I know my friends, this was way cheaper for me than to buy individually. I only have 3 non-drinkers and my heavy drinkers will definitely consume their cost but they already said my non-drinkers would be a different price. People alwyas drink more when it is on someone else's dime! Congratulationson your final countdown!

    I am in the US, so not sure on Canada, but Target has the travel sized sunblock for $1. I am having a hard time finding the aloe myself and hope people can post places in the US as well. (I don't think we have a Dollar Tree here...never heard of it in OC)

    We are having this issue for April as well. Our family has used points to book to eliminate this, though tell them to book early as our LAX to SJD and SAN to SJD flights have already oversold on points tickets and Alaska has a few left but they went form 30kwhen we all booked last month to 60k now. I read on the news today that they are predicting flights to drop in early 2009, but there is no way to tell. You just have to cross your fingers that the people you really want to be there can use points or can afford it. We have one group of people in LA considering driving as it is a gorgeous drive!     I was planning on using Lazy Gourmet as they are the best. However, my hotel is now doing it for me. They told me average is $70-90 per person for a 3 course meal.

    Thanks for the feedback. I have fixed the bolding of the date, is this better? Still doesn't look 100% right to me overall, what am I missing? I have been making it in powerpoint. I have tried to lighten them by using the translucent button, but it appears lighter but hte shade is darker and no longer matches. I'm stuck

    I am so bummed, I went in today and our targets (yes, I am now officially stalking 3 stores) don't have any of the cute things you guys mention. They had some pink bath salts with a cupcake...almost got one for my daughter though I did have a great find at Michaels today though. They have 2009-10 pocket calendars that are beach themed for 1.00. I chose these expecially as the beaches on the cover is where I got engaged! Now I just need to find the dang suduko and crosswords.

    My colors are blue, kiwi, aqua (which is why these are the colors in the monogram). I am going to try to make the green more Kiwi, the light blue look more aqua. anyone know how to make the colors the same tone but lighter (more tranparant?)

    Thanks, I will work on darkening the green. I was trying to keep it consistent with our wedding colors which the greern is kiwi/lime. Will it matter if it isn't our colors, are they supposed to match?

    OK, so this is my first DIY (EVER) and am looking for some honest feedback. I made the monogram with FI feedback as I went. I made it in PP as I don't have any other programs. Once I decide it is the final version I will send to my girlfriend and she will do it in her professional program and save it as a file (for some reason when I save it as a JPEG it looks blury so please excuse this when you look at it). I really need feedback/suggestions if you are willing! As you can probably see, I am not an artsy person. Thanks

    You are going to look stunning (especially if this is you with faded makeup and wilted hair!) Love the look, like the funk of the earrings. I think the necklaces makes it a little marlin manroe'ish. I would go without or a simple pendant (something that drops in a v shape with your neckline. Looks beautfiul on you!

    I have seen many posts with brides happy with DJ Ricardo. I am getting ready to book him (haven't really spoken with any others, but feel comfortable with him and love his response time). I noticed he is saying it is $230/hour yet on this forum many of you have said $200 or $215 and hour. Has anyone else quoted him lately? Did he raise his rates or is there a negotiation process I need to do? THanks

    Unfortuntately you are right, it really doesn't look like an S. I don't know the font, but it looks more like an L or a cursive upper case T. I know that with the amount I spent on my veil,I would send it back. I would call them and see what they say.

    I take my stuff to the DY store, do you have one of these? I would also take your credit card statement to Bloomies to see if they can do something if you don't have access to the DY store. I know with Nordies there is a no limit return policy and they keep all my jewlery purchases on file so I would think Bloomies would be able to look it up.
