  2. How the hell could she think it was "just fine"?? That's so ridiculous!!! She should fix it and give you the alterations for FREE!!! I would be steaming mad too!!!

  4. Thanks! This will definitely get me started!
  5. Hi Ladies, I'm really wanting to walk out of the reception though sparklers instead of the usual flower petals or bubbles. Have any of yall ever used or are planning to use sparklers? A friend of mine went to a fireworks stand in TX to try them out and they were terrible, but I'm wondering if there are any made specifically for weddings that aren't too large or "firery". Any suggestions? I've looked at some websites, but not sure if they're just like the ones from the stands on the highways. I know there is a law in Texas of when you can purchase or have firecrackers shipped into the state, and my deadline is January 1st, so I HAVE to get on this fast. Any help or advice would be so greatly appreciated! Thanks!!! Casey

  9. You would think with gas being so much cheaper now that flights would be cheaper too. I don't understand how this works... Didn't they raise airfare prices when gas prices went up?
  10. I had originally picked out a pattern called Tobacco Leaf, and when I showed it to FI, and he joked saying how it was so tacky... So when we went home for Christmas, I made sure he went with me to start from scratch and help pick something that he liked too. I'm not usually a gold person, but when we saw this, we both fell in love with this pattern. I just a little worried because it's so expensive and I'm fearful we won't get much of it. Have any of yall had this problem? Anyway, thought I would just share a few pics. What do yall think? China and Stemware: Everyday: Our Registry Shelf:
  11. So I went home to Dallas for Christmas and had my first fitting! I'm just glad that I scheduled it on my first day home instead of the last with all the Christmas goodies I inhaled while I was there. Hahahaha... She did 2 bustles which I hated and then loved the 3rd. Since my dress is so plain I've been playing around with adding a rhinestone brooch on the back of the bustle to give it a little glitz. What do yall think? Does it need something to spruce it up a little? Here are a few pics of my first fitting. Please excuse my facial expressions
  12. Went home for Christmas and got a lot of wedding stuff done... *picked out and registered for our china, crystal stemware, flatware and everyday *1st dress fitting! *picked out invitations, font and wording *met with the florist to see a sample bouquet (which I hated, but at least now she has a better idea of what I want) It's all coming together! YEA!!!
  13. I took the week off since I went home for Christmas, and after gaining 3 lbs of stuffing my face during that time, I'll be back in the gym tomorrow... So glad the holidays are OVER!!!
