  1. I have only used a few of their powder eye shadows, and absolutely love them. It is actually the same color on your eyelid as it looks in the container. I hate shadows that you buy, and it looks totally different. Since I love the shadows so much, I've thought about getting the starter kit. This thread had given me that little boost to actually do it. Thanks for posting this!
  2. Are khakis and a while button down too blah? I always think of it as a great classic and clean look.
  3. I love the pug porcupine.... probably because i'm a pug lover, but they all are hilarious! Thanks for posting!
  4. Have you looked at other "Karisma friendly" photographers and their packages? It might give you a good idea of how all of the prices compare.
  5. Ours was pretty random. I originally wanted April 25th, but my FIs cousin is studying abroad in the spring and isn't coming back till May 8th. My FI had no problem with her not being there, but of course, my FMIL did. I would get FYI e-mails from her reminding me of when the cousin would be back. My FI was great about it and told me not to schedule our wedding around his cousin, but since there was no "have to" reason to get married on April 25th, I switched it to May 16. I just thought there was no reason to cause a stir over something that I didn't have to. But I'm excited about the current date. And everyones happy !
  6. Welcome to the community... You'll love it here!!!
  7. Hi Brianne. Welcome
  8. Wow! That will look amazing in the pics! Very light. Congrats on the amazing find!
  9. You could tell him that you totally trust him, and that you are so excited to see some of the ones he's looking at. Maybe he could pick out 3 different outfits, and both of yall could hone in on 1. That way he'll feel like he got to pick out his favs, and you can have your input as well. Or do you think he would even be opposed to compromise?
  10. Those are so fantastic, Heather... Who was your photographer?
  11. Attending a wedding for the first time, Little Susie whispered to her mother, "Why is the bride dressed in white?" "Because white is the color of happiness, and today is the happiest day of her life." Litte Susie thought about this for a moment, then said "So why is the groom wearing black?"
  12. BONKERS!!! Those were always my favorite! Totally takes me back... Do they still make Cookie Crisp cereal?

    Hello!!!

Welcome! All these girls will make you feel right at home
  14. I know it's been said a thousand times, but when you put it on, you'll know. I had 2 days to find mine in Dallas before I had to leave to go back to New York. I found the one I fell in love with at the first store, but kept looking just because I didn't want to trust that there was something else out there that I wouldn't love more. I would put on a dress, and my mom would tell me she loved it, but then I would say that I wasn't thrilled with this or that dress after dress. After going to the other two stores, I went back to the 1st one on my way to the airport to try it on again. There wasn't even a question in my mind that it was "IT". NEVER SETTLE! This is your wedding dress, and you should love everything about it. I would just say to be patient, and keep trying. It's bound to happen.

    Hi

    Shannon, welcome to the community!
  16. It's so easily done, but I just try to stick with sandwiches and salads. And you're right. Sometimes you need to cheat just a little bit.
  17. Heather, thanks. And trust me, I live in NYC and totally understand what you are talking about. Amazing food is everywhere you look!
